Importante estación de tren de la capital. Gran afluencia de gente durante el día. Cuidado con algunos carteristas aunque hay mucha seguridad en el lugar. Hay muchos restaurantes occidentales para pasar el rato, pero aconsejo comprar algo para comer en las tiendas “Polen”, hay 3/4 en la estación y siempre hay colas de los lugareños, eso siempre es señal de buena relación calidad-precio. Cuando regrese compraré un bocata de pollo frito que está recién hecho y riquísimo por 2 euros, que para ser una estación de tren en la capital del país no es caro. Recomiendo comprar el billete por anticipado en la web de CFR que es la que gestiona los trenes en Rumania. Hay un gran panel en la parte central de la estación y con tú mail de confirmación y hora puedes ver desde que andén sale tú tren. Suelen ser muy puntuales.

the tickets information lady was super nice and spoke enough english despite her old age, but everything else was terrible, the conditions, the filth, literal heroin addicts begging and trying to "take you to places", a lot of drug addicts in general sleeping and looking at you while you pass by, the gates are all vandalized and look terrible in general. if you go to bucarest nord (from Henri Coandă Airport, e.g.) PLEASE take the metro/a train instantly and go somewhere else because even the streets near the station have a super heavy environment and if you don't know how to handle these types of situations they can go very very wrong. from what I heard, these situations are not that common and we were just kind of unlucky, but you should 100% be aware. it's not like this gare doesn't need a total makeover.
