I was buying an international train ticket and was asked whether I want to pay with cash or card. I said that I prefer cash, but then discovered that I didn't have enough, so I asked to pay with card. While at pretty much any shop this wouldn't be a problem, here the cashier told me that now I must pay in cash. This was uncomfortable, as I needed to exchange the currency, thereby losing time and money.

The main train station so quite large. Lots of food offerings to stop at and stock up for the journey ahead. I purchased my ticket online but checked at the ticket office that I didn’t need to do anything first. Lady confirmed I was ok to go and pointed me in the right direction. Departure board easy to read and understand with a clear indication of platform. Again, platforms easy to locate. Only difficulty is no staff on the platform to help you find which car you’re travelling - this was the most difficult part of it all.

Experiențe proprii. La Softrans ne-am luat țeapă cu o informație prost dată, peronul nu scria pe panou și cineva ne-a spus peronul greșit. De asemenea majoritatea nu te ajută cu informații despre particulari. Dacă se întâmplă să ajungi târziu și nu mai poți da pe la casă... ai gaură in buzunar. CFR e mai bun la drum lung, condițiile in vagoane sunt mai bune decât la ceilalți. E și mai scump.
