Trenurile chiar daca cele mai multe sunt vechi ,sunt punctuale rareori sunt intarzieri . Personalul din trenuri este amabil si ce este foarte bine acum ca se poate procura bilet de calatorie on-line si nasul nu prea mai poate incasa ,,spaga’’ Gara de nord primeste si expediaza foarte multe trenuri zilnic . Foarte prost este la capitolul parcari ,dar aceasta este treaba primariei!

It's still the largest and most important railway station in Romania, but it's falling behind in terms of services quslity, comfort and amount of available utilities. The place can get really crowded, which is a bad thing, expecially in a pandemic. Accessibility is an issue so it's tough to get around because of all the small vendors (that mostly sell the same overpriced, average quality stuff), the constant stream of people getting out in the same area, the people waiting around for their train to get pulled in the station (because there are just a few waiting areas, insufficient for the how big the place is). It's also not as clean at it should be and basic utilities are missing or under represented. I could only find one toilette, so if thatsnot workinf, or there's a line, your best option is going to one of the multiple businesses on site and using theirs (after of course spending some money). I don't know for example if there's a baby changing station. On the plus side, the last time I was there I saw that they introduced a luggage storing area, which is great. Speaking of businesses, there's a bunch of them. Aside from the small wooden houses (a fire hazard in my opinion!), where you can get juice, water, instant coffee, snacks etc., there are a few eating places (McDonald's, KFC etc.), some coffee places (try SoCoffee!), a few traditional bakeries (you can try covrigi, but I'm guessing that the railway station is not the place) and some pharmacies. I was shocked to discover that there's not one, but 2 betting places inside the stat, which says a lot about what the people want. Overall, the place looks interesting: you can see the old architecture, but the place is falling a part a bit and it's too crowded.
