Waited 20 minutes during opening hours with no one at the office. Likely the staff member was giving someone else a car, they only have one worker while most of the other booths had 2. Important to note they take a deposit of the hold amount instead of holding a credit card. Given we did not take their insurance, they took $4000 from my card which I’m still awaiting to be returned a week later. This has never happened to me before with other car rentals (including renting a car with same circumstances one week prior) Car itself had no problems, and the return in a different country was easy.

Horario en Google Maps hasta las 23h, llegamos a las 15.45h y nos encontramos un cartel en la puerta con los horarios, cerrando ese día (sábado) a las 15h, por lo que tuvimos que pagar un suplemento por nuestro alquiler.

Avoid this place!! I rented a car here about a month ago and they did everything they could to rip me off. The car they gave me was an old and pretty beat up car, it had little crashes all over and about 90.000 miles, at pick up the employee spent at least 7 or 8 minutes looking at the outside of the car while filling up a document with the bumps, HE DID NOT look inside of the car. I signed the document, took a picture and left. We had no issues with the car during the trip and I returned it exactly the same as it was at pick up, about a week after I got back home I noticed they had charged my credit card $132 dollars, when I got back to them to see why, they responded that it was because the backseat of the car had stains... We went back and forth with several mails me (asking for my money back) saying that I did nothing to the car and that the employee never checked the inside and it wasn't my responsibility if he did not but they denied me my money. So after a couple of days, they sent me a copy of the document I had signed at pick up and they had altered it, they handwritted that it had a stain in the front seat making believe that at pick up the backseat had no issues because nothing was written....incredible. Here I present pictures of the original document and the altered one so everyone can see what they do. Luckily for me, I presented everything to my bank and VISA and they reversed the charge. This place doesn't take care of customers, on the contrary they try to steal from them.

Worse experience to imagine. Coming from US to Ljubljana, Slovenia and learning that Dollar rent a car office doesn't have a car that I reserved. Guess they went for higher offer, probably their operating philosophy. Never again any Dollar rent a car. Luckily Ljubljana airport has other rental companies such as Avis, who took care of my problem. Double price but at least I got a car.

I reached the rental counter easy after a long day of traveling. My first choice of car was not available and I was immediately upgraded to a larger (and nicer car). From the time I walked through the door to the time I drove out of the rental center not more than 10 minutes elapsed. The whole process was handled in an efficient, courteous, and cheerful manner. I would definitely rent from Dollar Thrifty again.

These guys are the best! We booked a compact vehicle and they gave us a free upgrade, this wonderful wagon and it was brand new (first rent). Igor was extremely kind, know where to pick up the car next time!
