STAY WELL CLEAR. over 6 months ago I had a car from these people. The car was damaged from the previous user, on the front. when I returned the car they initially claimed I had scratched the front then agreed that the damage was from the previous crash. Deposit was returned and as far as I was aware the case was closed. I now have a debt collector contact me out of the blue wanting money. these guys are crooks and conmen they sent me out with a damaged car and are now trying to charge me to fix someone else's damage. appalling behaviour and you should to avoid them at all costs.

Vozilo, Fiat 500 sem dobila hitro. Lepo očiščeno. Le precej malih prask ima, kar sem morala tudi podpisati 😉. Sicer pa zelo prijeten avto za vožnjo in lep na pogled. Hvala

The customer service was some of the worst we received throughout our entire trip. From the moment we stepped foot inside the branch, we were snapped at and spoken to rudely - it was as if us being there was an inconvenience. The whole experience left us feeling very uneasy and if we had the time to cancel our booking, we would have. We nearly cancelled our second Sixt booking that we had in Sarajevo because of this but glad that we didn’t as the customer service we received was the complete opposite. I would recommend not dealing with the Ljubljana Railway Station branch and go elsewhere.

DO NOT USE THEM! I don’t know who is writing these positive reviews but I’m guessing not many are actual customers! WORST experience we’ve ever had, and we’ve rented cars around the world. Car was fine, pickup was fine but between then and reservation we had read reviews and become concerned they were going to try to scam us. Sure enough, at drop off, they literally have two employees climbing all about the car, pointing and photographing and rubbing dirt around to see all the “damages”. We are 50+, as I’ve said, rent cars often (not from sixt, and will never, ever, again). Never had one issue, EVER. Usually drop off is grab your stuff, they look at dash, walk around car, go. Five minutes! This time, we stood outside in the cold, while they poured over this car for 20 minutes! Then they started showing us “damage”. A dent - if it was there (seriously microscopic what they pointed out) we didn’t do it. Two window chips! Chips were there when pointed out, no idea if they were there whole time - not noticeable so can’t be sure, and window was frozen over when we picked up and took our original photos - as was whole car, frosted over. At pick up they show you photos of damage to A car, so you supposedly know what is there but there’s no way to know it’s the one you’re taking to start with. We refused to sign on the damage and now they are sending us damage reports for two chips and a dent with paint damage. Utterly ridiculous!! TRUST ME, IT IS NOT WORTH IT - GO ELSEWHERE. We definitely should have looked at reviews better and that’s on us, I guess. We will be fighting this, obviously and our credit card has already said they’ll handle fighting it, but DON’T MAKE SAME MISTAKE - check a few places, you’ll see this routine repeated in many reviews! It’s a shame because Slovenia is a lovely country with lovely people and this business is trying to mar that by scamming visitors. ETA: photos of the “damage”. Note only two chips are our “responsibility”, but we are being billed for time of loss for them to fix the car, even though the thing has chips and dents all over it so they’re clearly not actually fixing anything ever. These photos represent over $1400 in damages, so they say. Do NOT fall victim to this mess!

We had a very positive experience with ROK at Sixt rent a car at the Ljubljana Railway Station. He was great at explaining all aspects of the rental agreement, including insurance. Helped set up the map for us in the car. Very polite and considerate and patient with us. We loved the vehicle we received and had a great day going up to Lake Bled. Because of the convenient office hours 8-8 we were able to rent in the morning and return in the evening and avoid trying to find parking. Highly recommend.

Reserva realizada por Internet el día previo y cuando llegamos a la oficina , checkean nuestro nombre y apellidos españoles y nos dicen que no hay coche para nosotros. No Dan solución y el trato fue lamentable. Trato racista?. Pues eso parece. Propuso el gerente como única solución que fuéramos a Europcar. Eso hicimos,nos trataron genial y fue un 30% más barato. Europcar es más barato, el trato es mejor y son amistosos. Si sois hispanohablantes os ruego no ir a esta empresa.

We rented a car for a business trip. The staff were friendly and professional. We got through all the documentation very quickly with their help. We were very impressed by the car which was spotless and very reliable. I would definitely recommend anyone to rent a car from Sixt.

Trash agency, very bad experience. When we arrived, although they accepted our reservation, they didn't have a single car available, not even the one we booked. We were also told that it is not even possible to rent a car if you are a citizen of Serbia, Macedonia or Bosnia.Better choose some other agency

I reserved a car for 5 days online. I was warmly greeted by Tai when I checked-in. Check-in process was smooth and Tai constantly reassured me that I would have €0 liability with the car given my full insurance coverage. I also opted for additional insurance (tires, windows and 24/7 assistance) to have full coverage during check-in process as I was a bit nervous about the negative reviews. The additional insurance was not requested or advertised by Tai, I just knew from past experience that this is available to have complete €0 liability on damages to the car. However, check-out process was very smooth also! Victoria greeted me at the desk and once again reassured me that I would have €0 liability as I have full and complete insurance. Andre completed the checks of the car and I got my deposit back the following day! I have always been loyal to renting a car abroad with Sixt and have had no problems. Thank you to the staff for making the car rental at Sixt Ljubljana Railway Station a smooth process! I highly recommend renting a car with Sixt at Ljubljana Railway Station!

I rented from this Sixt location multiple times, normally everything went well. But last time I feel that I was scammed. Few days after returning the car I was notified that it has new recorded damages. I didn't remember damaging the car and the new scratches were very superficial, only on zoom-in photos it was possible to identify them. The pictures that I took after the rental didn't help. There were multiple points that I raised to the Sixt damage department to prove that I was not responsible for the damage and also there were problems with check-in/check-out procedures. None of them were accepted and at some point damage department stopped responding at all. I feel that Sixt damage department doesn't have goal to reveal the truth behind the accident but rather accuse the customer. In my opinion it is unfair.

I’m so upset about the experience renting a car here. I got double charged and have been communicating with their customer service for days but they only said they cannot do anything. I first booked the car on booking.com and paid online. At the store, because I asked for an upgrade, I got charged again with the whole amount of price. I thought they would update the payment for booking.com or at least only charged the difference for upgrade. However, I found out they are separate payments recently. I have tried to communicate with their customer service to solve this simple situation which obviously doesn’t make sense. What I got from them is saying they cannot do anything with what the broker charged, at the same time they don’t do anything from their side. I don’t know why a simple upgrade would be that complicated. I feel sorry that the person at the counter was really nice when I picked up the car, while all these following things makes me don’t trust the rental company anymore.
