If I could give zero stars I would. The word fraud comes to mind. We barely drove the car while we had it AND didn’t take it anywhere risky. Drove main roads everywhere. We dropped the car off and didn’t have an issue, a few days later received a damage report to say we had damaged UNDERNEATH the car. We are now in an ongoing argument as they CANNOT provide photo evidence of what the car looked like prior to us picking it up despite being advised on collection that they have photos of everything. Listen to the reviews. Stay away. This place is beyond dodgy. As you can see…professionalism isn’t the first word that comes to mind with this “company”.

Everything started so well at pick up. Friendly and helpful service, and a spotless car that we really enjoyed touring the countryside with. Drop off went very smoothly, car was inspected, and we were told everything was fine. Some time later we receive an email claiming that we caused damage to the hubcaps to the tune of €160. If this were true, why was it not picked up during the inspection? Very upset by this bad faith action which spoiled what had been a very positive experience.

Overall, the process and experience is good, make sure you get insurance too, so you can drive with stress free. Nina from the desk is very professional and helpful. Thumbs up from Malaysia ;)

When I read some of the reviews here, I was skeptical at first, but after my rental experience with them in Ljubljana, I could not have been happier. Everything went smoothly and they were very nice people to work with. They provided a very clean and new car and everything from A-Z was perfect. I would definitely recommend booking your rental with them!

Great experience renting from these guys. We rented a car from them for 10 days. The checkin and returns process was easy and we did not have any issues/surprises like in the other reviews. No one was pushy to sell us insurance so overall great experience and it was a new car!

I’ve used this company twice, booked online through 3rd party sellers (most recently it was booked as Flizzr which apparently is also Sixt?) Great experience both times. I always book extra insurance through the 3rd party (so much cheaper) and the agents at Sixt haven’t tried to pressure me into more. Cars were in great condition and I was significantly upgraded for my most recent rental. Pickup and return is very straightforward. The only downside is the location feels so sketchy, particularly for Ljubljana! But it works.

Das Abholen und abgegeben des Autos war sehr einfach dank der sehr freundlichen Mitarbeiter. Wir hatten ein Opel Corsa Elektro gebucht und ein Skoda Enyaq Elektro bekommen. Das Auto war super, das beste man konnte kostenlos Laden und bei der Abgabe musste das Auto auch nicht vollgeladen zurück gegeben werden.

We were very impressed with the process of hiring a car with Sixt in Koper and then returning to Ljubljana, Slovenia. First and foremost, the customer service was five stars. A very warm and friendly team, who definitely put the customer first, which is rare for hire car companies. The car was spotless and very reliable, and all pre-existing damage was documented to avoid any confusion on drop-off. We had the car for eight days, travelling around Slovenia. When dropping the car off at the train station you do need to be aware of the car park to drop the car and then the Sixt office is actually located on the train platform, so you need to enter the station. I definitely recommend using Sixt for your car hire.

Avoid rental from this company. They will attempt to charge you for minor damages you did not cause. After a brief rental period of 3 days in Ljubljana, we returned our car in the exact same condition as we received it. A week or so later, I received an email telling me the car had been damaged (a small scratch on the rear of the vehicle) and that I would have to pay for the repair. Fortunately, I had taken photographs of the vehicle at the beginning of our rental that proved the scratch was there already, which dismissed this case. Yet, if I had missed this tiny scratch and not taken a photo (something that would have been very easy to do), I would have had to pay hundreds of euros for damage that I did not cause. And going by many similar reviews on here, it seems this is a common business practice Sixt manipulatively employ to unfairly extract more money from customers renting their vehicles. I was willing to overlook the fact that our car was only ready 1 hour later than our collection time, and that the car collection/drop-off location was practically a construction site. But receiving this damage claim was one step too far, and completely soured the experience. Not only that, but there was no effort to rectify the situation afterwards beyond an email telling me the claim had been dropped. I’m aware I’m one of the lucky ones who fortunately had proof that the damage was not caused during our rental, but I wanted to share my experience as a warning to other potential customers: Be prepared, these guys will try to charge you for tiny damages that you didn’t cause. My advice; rent elsewhere!

DO NOT RENT HERE. Wish I read Google reviews before made the reservation. They are scammers, especially people at check in and out station. We inspected the car with normal procedure by walked around the car and looked for any previous scratch or damages. Looked at the list of previous damages. When we return the car 8 hours later ( same day), the guy inspected the car and within few mins pointed out that there is a new scratch underneath of the front bumper which there is no way who can tell if it was there before or not. NO ONE ever inspected under the car. Did you guy flip the car and show us underneath of the car when checked out ? We knew 100 percent this is fraud as usual business here. We did not hit or caused any damages to the bumper. We did not accept the claim. They said there were previous scratches and there is new scratch. Can't believe SIXT as an international company and allow this kind of fraudulent practice.

This car rental is a fraud. I was charged 274€ extra by the SIXT damage department for a scratch under the bumper, which I have to pay within 10 days. It is not even clear whether the damage was caused by me, as I parked the car on their shady parking lot, and no employee was there to check the car immediately, I only received the damage report a few days later. The engineer report claims it took them 2 hours of paint job (at 70€/hour) to repair, which is absolutely preposterous for a scratch under the bumper. Avoid at any cost...

Terrible car rental agency. Staff are rude. They try to add hundreds of euro to your reservation and act like it’s mandatory when it isn’t, only relenting after back and forth arguing. Car we rented wasn’t available so had to wait over 40 mins for another one to be ready, the whole time they ignore you and just say “it’ll be 10 mins, it’s in the car wash.” The car we got already had several scratches / damages and despite an uneventful rental period, they claim you damage the car and have to go through a claim process. Super sketchy company, terrible staff. STAY AWAY.

Au retrait de la voiture, quelques éraflures sur les enjoliveurs droits ont été signalés sur le constat. Aucun incident ne s'est produit pendant la location de la voiture. 10 jours après le dépôt de la voiture à l'agence, j'ai reçu un courriel m'indiquant que des dommages supplémentaires avaient été signalés: les mêmes éraflures. Sixt me demandé de payer leur réparation en disant qu'elles étaient plus longues qu'au début. Ils ont profité du fait que je n'avait pas pris de photos de chaque coin de la voiture avant le retrait. Je déconseille cette agence gérée par des personnes malhonnêtes.
