Do not rent here! As you can read in many many reviews they charge you for damage you didn’t make. They charge hundreds of euros extra. The entire business is very shady because first you need to sign for the damage on the car and only afterwards they show you the car. You then pick up the car in an unlit dark ally where you can’t really see the car well in the evening. I don’t understand how Sixt allows such a shady location. Never rented from such an untrustworthy place before. Spend a couple euros extra by going to a different company and save hundreds of euros.

Purchased insurance when I made the reservation. When we got there had to buy more insurance to be sure we could just drop keys and go if anything happened which is what I thought I was buying with the reservation. It doubled our rental cost. I enjoyed the peace of mind of having it but it also put a bad taste in my mouth of renting again. I didn't know who had cars in Slovenia so rented through a third party and blame them also. I can't say I was surprised but very angry that I was taken again in this way. 49euros a day for insurance plus 10 euros a day to leave the country added on at check-in was like I said as much as the rental to start with. Otherwise everything went smooth and we had no problem. All employees encountered were great.

Fraud. Took a car. Paid extra for maximal protection and insurance. Returned it without any damage. After all, they didn’t send an invoice. And returned half of the deposit only. Now they just don't respond. Better avoid

Hatte das Fahrzeug online einen Monat aus Deutschland per Vollkasko gebucht. Vor Ort hatte ich allerdings keinen vollen Schutz. Über einen Aufschlag von 10€/Tag war der Schutz nachbuchbar. Alles in allem war ich dennoch zufrieden mit dem Service. Abholen und abgeben lief relativ einfach. Die Beratung vor Ort war sehr nett und auf Englisch. Das Fahrzeug war in einwandfreiem Zustand. Der Standort ist sehr leicht erreichbar.

We were worried because of some of these reviews. But we didn't have a choice as other places were out of cars or closed. We had great experience, got a good car and had no issues getting our deposit back. Overall was quick, easy and a good experience.

Leider echte Abzocke, hab das erste Mal ein Auto geliehen und hatte im Vorwege reserviert da mein Englisch ausbaufähig ist. Außerdem unfreundlich als man es abgelehnt hat die Premium Versicherung zu nehmen. Außerdem habe ich ein anderes Auto erhalten als im Vorwege reserviert und ich hatte weit im Vorraus reserviert dann muss man so ein Auto gar nicht erst anbieten.. Mir wurden diverse Extras vor Ort trotzdem mit angedreht die ich leider mit meiner Unterschrift bestätigt habe aufgrund meines schlechten Verständnisses für Englisch nicht korrekt verstanden. Nächstes Mal weiß ich besser bescheid und bestehe darauf alles so zu bekommen wie reserviert. (Mehrkosten ca.100€) Bin gespannt wie die Abwicklung nun läuft die Dame des Delivery Services ist einmal rumgelaufen hat gesagt alles okay und weg waren sie nachdem sie zuvor die Tür von Ihrem Firmenfahrzeug gegen ein nebenan geparktes gehauen hat. Haben vor Abholung zum Glück Fotos gemacht und kurz vor der Abholung, aber das klein gedruckte mit nach der Wäsche können noch Mängel auffallen macht mich stutzig obwohl wir das Auto auch schmutzig erhalten haben 🤔😅 Mal schauen ich miete aufjedenfall nicht mehr bei Sixt!

Rented a car in Ljubljana. While picking up i did an inspection of the car with the lady from Sixt at Ljubljana Airport. There was small damage (scratches) on the hubcaps on the passenger side. I pointed that out and the lady said that was not important and that it was superficial. I returned the car properly and i am one hundred percent certain i didn't cause damage to the hubcaps or anywhere else on the car. Now they send me a report claiming i caused the damage on the hubcaps with pictures (added to this post) of the same damage i pointed out during the pick up. Damage that is hardly visible. These people are scammers. Really nasty and i am defenitly going the seak legal support for this. There is a storm of reviews about Sixt Ljubljana Airport claiming people have caused damages on Google and Trust Pilot. Please taken them seriously and don't rent a car here. This is absurd.

Wanted to book a car for the mext 24h at the desk. Should have booked online.. The clerk was just making up prices up to double the rates of the website. When I looked confused about his pricing instead of explaining or selling it he redirected me to another agency, "maybe try there its cheaper for you".

Nous sommes tombés sur la mauvaise personne car l'échange a été horrible, stressant et pas du tout rassurant. Nous avons même demandés à traiter avec une autre collègue mais ce dernier a refusé catégoriquement en étant agressif, empêchant sa collègue de nous répondre. Il nous a vendu de force un plein d'essence alors qu'en fait c'était une option mais nous l'avons appris tardivement en discutant avec d'autres clients à qui on leur avaient correctement présenté l'option... Il a été agressif et nous a manqué de respect du début jusqu'à la fin. L'expérience a été horrible, ce fut un début de vacances vraiment désagréable. Sixt plus jamais !

Very much agree with the other customers' reviews. Everything is fine up until the moment you return the car and then they charge you exorbitant amounts of money for minor scratches. I rented with other companies in Slovenia and it was always good, so I will never rent Sixt again.

Nous étions stressés par les avis mais au final tout s'est bien passé pour nous. Nous avons eu une Opel corsa à la place du fiat 500. Les seuls points négatifs c'est que l'accueil n'est pas très chaleureux et que le manque de check in poussé à la réception de la voiture n'est pas rassurant.

Try to avoid this rental office!! They try to cheat people on scratches!! Just rented a car for couple of days, car was nice and first people seem to be very pleasant! And everything went well. But when I returned the car, the checking guy just quickly showed me a scratch in the ankle of the driver door that is not even visible outside. Definitely he already knew about it before and he put it on me! He even didnt check other side of car and other doors! Lets see if they gonna return deposit! If not, I would never recommend SIXT company to rent to other people! Those employees dont have conscience! Check also other reviews here!! A lot of similar cases like this written by other people. SIXT are you really thinking people are so stupid and naive?? It is so shame for SIXT company here!!

The office is somewhat hidden within the train station, making it a bit tricky to find. Once you do, however, you'll discover that the pickup process is smooth and handled by friendly staff. During our interaction, we were offered additional insurance options. Although we thought we were fully covered with the LWD insurance, I was a bit annoyed to learn that it did not fully cover the car for any damage, leading us to take some extras. The option to leave keys after hours is a nice touch, adding to the convenience. The garage where they park the cars is rather plain, but it's functional. While some reviews may suggest this place is untrustworthy, our experience was completely positive. I didn't find anything suspicious or scammy here and would recommend this location for its good service and reliable team.
