I rented the car in a different location and returned it at the Sixt railway station in Ljubljana. Once I made it to the desk, the process was very smooth. However, figuring out which location I had to return the car to was hard (despite having called earlier). This is why I only give 3 stars to this agency. The entrance to the parking lot, from the street, is here (Google Maps coordinates) 46.057853,14.507392 There is no sign at that entrance indicating 'rental car return' or 'sixt'. Once you enter the parking lot, turn right, and you'll find the sixt lot (with a sign this time) at the very end. The lot is unpaved, covered with potholes, and does look like an industrial dump. Once you've parked the car, it's possible to walk to the station and desk, but again, it's not obvious and not properly signed. It would take very little work to add proper signage. It looks like the agency doesn't care. Bring the parking card to the desk.

Unprofessional staff who's focus is their phones rather than their customers. Especially this one guy who picked up when a friend called him in the middle of our conversation. I had to wait several minutes for their conversation to be done. The garage, where they keep their muddy cars, looks like something from post war Berlin. Along with the filth decorating the floor there were dead mice lying around along with an odd and broken plastic sofa thing. Very unprofessional. The return went smoothly though so I'll give them that (unless I'll have a debt collector after me soon.. ).

J’étais un peu stressée suite à la lecture des commentaires, mais tout s’est très bien passé. En effet l’état des lieux se fait en autonomie donc il vaut mieux être vigilant. Je n’avais pourtant pris aucune assurance supplémentaire (et n’ai pas abîmé la voiture ;) ) et je n’ai pas eu de surprise suite au check out de la voiture (qu’ils font aussi en autonomie après la restitution).

We’ve booked a car for 10 days via sixt at Ljubljana train station. Sadly we scratched the front RIM and found out that the back RIM was already scratched which we didn’t note on the form but could proof by a picture. While we were preparing for a lot of hassle and exorbitant bills, they were super reasonable. The back RIM was removed from the damage form as soon as we shared the pictures and the invoice for the front wheel was also really reasonable. So we were really happy with how this was handled by the company!

We were here a year ago. We had no problems and no emotional trauma incurred from this experience, which is as good as you can get with a car rental place I think.

Les commentaires ne sont pas rassurants mais nous n'avons eu aucun souci. Nous avons réservé en ligne une Peugeot 2008 pour 10 jours et avons reçu une Skoda Kamiq. Le véhicule était très propre, en parfait état et le gps non prévu a été particulièrement apprécié. La commerciale a voulu nous faire prendre une assurance en plus, ce qui fait partie de son travail. La société propose aux clients de récupérer le véhicule nous même et de faire des photos s'il y a un souci. Nous avons insisté pour faire le check in avec quelqu'un avant de signer. Mais vu l'état impeccable du véhicule ce n'était pas nécessaire.

We specifically selected the city-center location for pick-up due to its close proximity to our accommodations. One hour before we were to collect our rental, I received an email saying we would be unable to retrieve the car from this location and would need to go to the railway station branch instead. We were on a tight schedule and called to ask if they could pick us up or send a taxi, given this was not part of the agreement. The staff at this location were unapologetically unprofessional—entirely unsympathetic to our situation and completely unwilling to work with us to find a solution. We were forced to walk 20 minutes in the rain to pick up our car. This delay, combined with a lengthy pick-up process, caused us to leave Ljubljana almost an hour later than planned, causing us to miss our pre-booked tour of Postojna Cave. Although the car was nice, it smelled intensely of cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking vehicle, and the icing on the cake was when SIXT attempted to double charge us for the rental at the end of our trip (we had two charges for the same amount on our credit card bill that month). We were incredibly disappointed by our overall experience with SIXT in Slovenia, particularly when we’ve had such positive experiences with the company in other countries.

No tengo nada malo que decir. Fueron muy amables desde el principio. El coche que me dieron era nuevo y muy limpio, funcionaba a la perfección. No es la primera vez que alquilo con Sixt y, cómo siempre, fue perfecto.
