Unfortunately given the great expectations we had - we found that family run restaurant very disappointing. We were seated inside at the beginning and the room was stuffy and smelling like fried oil which made it a very difficult experience. Otherwise - there was a variety of appetizers - some were passable such as the vitello tonnato and others were not such as the beef tartare. Main course of fried hake was extremely small and the spaghetti with crabs - for which we waited for 30 minutes - was rather passable. Dessert was burned. Overall the common theme among all dishes was poor presentation which may have not done them justice but this is the least you expect in a creative menu. To cap the average experience - the owner/waiter told us after we finished our food that the restaurant only accepts cash and gave us an attitude for sharing our feedback on the food.

This was without a doubt one of the coolest places I have ever been to. I asked my friends prior to the visit if I can see the menu & they told me that there is no menu which already makes the whole experience intriguing. It did not disappoint! Ivo was an amazing host, chef & sommelier. The food was beautiful and beyond delicious. It is one of the places that you want to keep for yourself but you know you have to share it with the world.

Prijeten večer s prijatelji. Navdušil me je izbor hladnih predjedi. Vse zelo okusno in odraža trud vložen v pripravo. Odpovedala bi se le oranžnemu vinu. Zanimiv butični lokal v ozki uličici v Kopru, tam smo v rani mladosti hodili k Idi na sladice. Veseli me, da je prostor dobil priložnost za novo zgodbo…

C'est un véritable restaurant gastronomique avec 5 plats délicieux qui se suivent. Le chef explique chaque plat avec des détails. Nous sommes ravis de cette expérience ! Forcément plus cher qu'un restaurant classique mais cela vaut vraiment le coup !

Pozitivno presenečeni nad enkratno izkušnjo. Vse skupaj hrana, vino, postrežba, domačnost....Jedli smo hrano, ki nam sicer ni ljuba, pa je bila tako perfektno pripravljena, da smo si oblizovali prste. Ivo je pravi čarovnik v kuhinji, pa njihov kruh....mmmmm.

Besides the culinary aspect he is a false person. He bought some fotos from a cooking session but never paid the bill, although i asked him several times. probably he thinks because it was a cross border business he doesnt have to care. just a lousy attitude, i wouldnt recommend him from a personal point of view.

Best bistro in town. Creative dishes. Just let the chef Ivo choose the menu for you. Nice local wine selection. Worth the try.

Odlična hrana in prijazna postrežba. Vse jedi so bile zelo okusne in pripravljene iz lokalnih sestavin. Pečejo tudi odličen kruh z drožmi. Restavracija je dostopna z invalidskim vozičkom.

Tutto perfetto. Ottima cucina, locale piccolo ma accogliente. Molto pulito, con cucina a vista, che è quello che più mi è piaciuto. Sono molto organizzati ed il cibo è freschissimo, oltre che la pasta viene preparata manualmente sul momento. La carbonara era ottima, molto più buona di alcuni posti in Italia. Insomma, esperienza perfetta, complimenti.

One Man Show. The owner cooks right in the serving room and serves himself. There are only 4 tables. There is no menue - the chef cooks what is available on that day. In my case it was an unbelievable variaty of entrees with raw shrimps and tartar. With the meal he serves local wine. Really great, but not too cheap

Pri Ivotu in Špeli se vedno znova razvajamo. Pridemo, povemo koliko smo lačni ter se prepustimo njegovem navdihu, ki nas nikoli ne razočara. Všeč so nam izbrane sestavine, tudi vinska spremljava, so tudi biodinamične buteljke v igri. Imamo svoje najljubše jedi kot je to pica ( seveda z drožmi) s surovo tuno in kimčijem. Všeč su nam njegove predjedi. Mesek je pri Ivotu zame ta boljš sladica. Vendar nas je njegov tiramisu navdušil! Paštice so okusne. Tolk so pridni da jih naredijo sami. Omake so različne od morskih do boškarina. Srečno ekipi Kulinaričnega študija!

The food was nice but you'd better ask prices before ordering. We got scammed. The guy told us that there was no printed menu. We had a bill for 70 euros for one small starter, 2 main courses and 3 glasses of wine.
