Absoluut de moeite waard om heen te gaan. Kerk is bijzonder gesitueerd achter een verdedegingsmuur. Lokaal aanwezige gids geeft aan de hand een een geluidsopname (naar keuze, ook NL) beknopt een toelichting over de historie en betekenis van de afbeeldingen. Zelfs de bidsprinkhaan bezoekt de locatie. ;)

Vrhunsko. Vsi, ki se niste obiskali te prelepe cerkvice: ustavite se, ne bo vam žal. Odlična razlaga prijazne domačinke, nizka vstopnina. Priporočam.

Visited in May 2023. Went there for the famous Danse Macabre. For 3€, you'll have a recorded explanation in your native language, while the guide show you which part of the fresco you have to see. If there is a lot of people, the visit seems less pleasant, as the church is small, and you have to wait the previous group to finish.

This little walled church has a lot of history in it. Supposedly build by the knights templar, it was decorated with significant frescos in the 14th century. Amongst those frescos is the famous "Dance Macabre". The entry is only €3, so go visit it when you are in Koper or Piran or anywhere in Slovenia.. 5/5 stars from me..

Eléggé keskeny utakon lehet eljutni. Turnusban lehet csak belül megnézni. Várakozás lehetséges. Sie können auf ziemlich schmalen Straßen dorthin gelangen. Sie können es nur während des Turniers von innen sehen. Eine Wartezeit ist möglich.

Un piccolo gioiello incastonato fra le alture alle spalle di Trieste, ma in territorio Sloveno. Piena di affreschi che raccontano al visitatore il vecchio ed il nuovo testamento. Molto ben realizzato anche l'affresco della danza macabra. La chiesa del 1200 circa è anche fortificata da una cinta di mura perfettamente integre

Die Kirche wurde im 12. Jahrhundert erbaut und 1581 zum Schutz vor osmanischen Überfällen mit einer hohen zweitürmigen Wehrmauer umgeben. Das Kirchenschiff ist fantastisch mit Fresken ausgemalt. Die Werke mit der Schöpfungsgeschichte des Alten Testaments und aus dem Leben von Jesus schuf 1490 der Maler Johannes von Kastva. Besonders erwähenswert ist das Fresko des "Totentanzes von Hrastovlje". Eintritt in die Kirche mit den Fresken ist kostenpflichtig.

Pour les amoureux d'histoire 🤩 un lieu que l'on devrait garder secret tellement il est fragile et exceptionnel. A visiter absolument.
