In a water canal 300 meters left of the church you can use a SUP to get to Ljubljanica river which is about 200 meters from the main road. And then enjoy about a hour long river ride to Špica in the Ljubljana city center. During Summer months, of course! The church itself is the only man made Unesco world heritage site that Slovenia has. It was done by the famous Jože Plečnik who basically did the entire Ljubljana city (bridge Tromostovje, park Kongresni trg, etc.).

Maybe the best church that Plečnik ever built. You must try to see the (fantastic) interior, so the best way would be to visit on a Sunday morning (mass at 9.00).

I had to go there for my curiosity on unique architecture. A bit outside Ljubljana, right beside the main road, stands this great looking church! There is a history behind it, but I guess you can get all that and other information on the internet.
