Insbesondere der Turm ist für nur wenig Geld bis oben hin begehbar und von da aus hat man einen kompletten Rundblick über Koper.

Don't get me wrong for giving just two stars... Church itself is majestic piece of baroque architecture, with paintings by Carpaccio, nicely restored, worth visiting... But, as we were there visiting with the tourist group, a very unpleasant, old man, alcohol smell all around him, approached the group as a charging pit bull, shouting at all the guests and the guide, obviously not allowing explanations inside the church and very rudely kicked us out of it, forbidding any comments... It was an experience which you would have never have expected in a church! Been to hundreds of churches around the world, but have never been thrown out of one before! Pity, it leaves a bitter taste in otherwise pleasant and friendly medieval town. If tourism is of any importance here, local community should do something to prevent such unpleasant situations.

This cathedral is one of the biggest churches in Slovenia. Almost completely white and quiet interior contrasts with the lively square in front of the church. Art lovers will find some precious art pieces (main and side altars) and they will certainly apreciate the breathtaking white facade. Visit of the bell tower is possible as well.

La chiesa è stata costruita nella seconda metà del XII secolo in stile romanico, con tre navate ciascuna terminante con un'abside. Fino al 1392 la chiesa ha subito modifiche ed estensioni, che hanno portato anche ad un cambiamento di stile: la facciata ovest è chiaramente gotica. A seguito di un terremoto nel 1460, la facciata è stato nuovamente progettata nel 1488, con l'aggiunta di elementi rinascimentali. La torre, che offre una spettacolare vista sulla città e l'intera baia, è di quattro piani, ricalca lo stile del campanile italiano e ospita una delle più antiche campane della Slovenia, che risale al 1333.[1] All'inizio del XVIII secolo Capodistria era sotto influenza veneziana ed ha conosciuto nuovamente una trasformazione architettonica in stile barocco. Sotto la guida di Giorgio Massari, ulteriori elementi di abbellimento sono stati portati alla chiesa, tra cui pregevoli dipinti dei pittori veneziani Pietro Liberi, Andrea Celesti, Antonio Zanchi e Vittore Carpaccio. Il dipinto più significativo è la Sacra Conversazione di Vittore Carpaccio, che risale al 1516. Il sarcofago di san Nazario risale al XIV secolo e fu probabilmente creato da Filippo de Sanctis.[

It's not the most stunning looking cathedral from the outside but the interior is lovely. Although the whole setting with the bell tower and palace in the surrounding square makes for some great photos and a lovely place to walk and relax. The bell tower was €3 each and has 204 steps to the top. As usual you get a good view from the top. It is also suppose to be the oldest working bell tower in Slovenia.

You can visit the tower, entrance fee is around 3 € and you need to climb 204 stairs to get to the top where you can see whole of Koper. I liked the view but I think that the entrance fee is too high.

Cerkev romanske zasnove (12. st.) tvori z zvonikom vzhodno stranico Titovega trga. Zunanjost krasi prefinjeno obdelano gotsko pritličje (15. st.) in renesančno nadstropje (16. st.). Notranjost odlikuje klasicistična resnost triladijske dvorane. V stolnici se nahaja marmornat sarkofag sv. Nazarija, relief svetnika, ki drži v roki model mesta (okoli leta 1350), podobe Križanega v lesu

La chiesa ha subito più volte pesanti interventi di modifica a partire dalla sua fondazione nel 1187. La facciata stessa presenta la parte inferiore in chiaro gotico veneziano, mentre quella superiore è del 1498, in stile molto più vicino al rinascimento. Il campanile è fatto anch'esso da sovrapposizioni storiche. L'interno, il cui aspetto attuale è barocco, cela il vero tesoro della chiesa, ovvero tre tele di Carpaccio (due di Vittore e una di Benedetto) ai lati del transetto e sopra gli stalli dell'altare. Il sarcofago di San Nazario risalente al 1300 non si può normalmente visitare in quanto nel coro dietro l'altare maggiore.
