The Church of the Holy Trinity was built in 1652. It is located on the top of the hill, rising above the valley in which Kamna Gorica lies. Accessible by car or on foot over more than 100 steps long staircase, it has a nice view on the surroundings. On the exterior walls you can still see original frescoes. Around the church lies the local cemetery with a memorial dedicated to the fallen soldiers of WWI. There is a local legend which tells the story of how the church was build. And the story goes like this: the villagers of Kamna Gorica wanted to build a church on a field near the village. They prepared building materials and tools but during the night everything disappeared. The next morning the villagers found the material and the tools on the top of the hill and thus dedicated to build the church on this hill. Inside the church you can see two paintings of the slovenian painter Matej Langus, who was born in Kamna Gorica.
