So dissatisfied. Ordered a front door and french doors to the tune of £4600. Right from the start there were pricing issues, after amending the quote for cheaper options the price went UP. Sneaky and what a way to distrust a company. Upon arrival, deep scratches on the door and the glass. Door handles tarnished and overall poor quality control. Rockdoor have replaced these but it shouldn’t happen in the first place. The damaged rail was also replaced with the wrong one. We are now in September with temperatures around 10 degrees at night and the thermal bridging is awful. You can see a solid area of condensation approximately 10cm the full way around each of the two doors where the locking plates are, that when you run your hand across it drips off the door. What is it going to be like in December or January? I’ve ordered extra gaskets to try and combat this, but absolutely shouldn’t have to on expensive brand new doors. They claim to be market leaders but the ordering process, quality control and energy efficiency is way below what it should be. Very amateurish. It is worth also noting these replaced doors over 10 years old that cost half the price, and are no where near as good. Sort it out Rockdoor!

As a marketer, working with Rock Doors was amazing they made my life so much easier. Our Edinburgh client whom I worked with for 10 years, until they retired - Supplied & fitted RockDoors - As a marketer working for a business RockDoor is a fab company to deal with, they were extremely helpful & kindly gave me access to all their marketing materials & stunning library of stock images! They had a huge library of door styles, all stunning and the security benefits are superb. One of my favourite door stockists to work with their stock images are really good, not all stock images are the same, they dress the door. Their doors are second to none, for the energy saving benefits & security, a worthwhile investment! A couple of my favourites were their stable doors, the Colonial, the Vogue door and The Indiana Light Oak is also a stunning stock image. I love how they dress the doors for the images. 🙂 As the saying goes a picture paints a thousand words. You can see what I mean here :)

I have about 20 of them in my rental properties, they bow easily in the sunlight and the locking mechanisms are always failing. I bought one of the period looking doors with the yale lock and finger pull, the finger pull is far to close to the edge of the door so its really difficult to get a good grip under it without hitting your fingers on the side of the door frame. The lock needs to be a lot further into the door and the finger pulls better designed so that you can really grip them as the doors are heavy and the brush strip creates a lot of friction to close fully. I installed the door and then after seeing how difficult it would be to close I immediately took it off and just sold it for half price on eBay. Rock door website does not even have an email address which is very poor for a business.

After 5 years our Rockdoor has 'cracked' and I now discover that the 10 year guarantee is with the installer (now out of business) and not Rockdoor. Quite frankly the do called guarantee is not worth the paper it's written on. Once again, an expensive mistake on my part where consumer rights are deliberately and cynically bypassed by unscrupulous companies!

Rockdoor Ltd claim to be the best but, our experience reveals the reality is so very different, they just don't stand up to the test of time. In 2013 we ordered a bespoke made-to-measure new ‘Blue Ultimate Jacobean Scorpio’ model front door for our home, it wasn't cheap but, glowing reviews and the warranty offered by the manufacturer gave some confidence in the product and, was the persuader to go with them. All was seemingly pretty much well with the door until August 2020 when we noticed that there was some significant cracking damage in the composite slab near the bottom of the glass panels and that there was also some warping in the glass framing at the bottom of the panels. After providing our original installer (no issue with them whatsoever!) with photographs showing the damage issues, a copy of our original invoice and details of the door’s serial number they arranged for a replacement and refitted an identical colour door slab from Rockdoor under the 10 year warranty. You'd think that it would not have been unreasonable for us to expect that there would be merchantable quality of the replacement door i.e. in that it too should last at least an expected 10 years without issue and, was our understanding at that point to assume that the new replacement slab would also be covered by it’s own fresh 10 year warranty from date of installation but, that we subsequently found was not to be. Surprisingly, and just barely over 3 years later, in January 2024 we found that the replacement door slab now also had significant cracking and some slight warping in the door slab near to the bottoms of both of the glass panels i.e. in the same positions as the original damage issue. Rockdoor declined our original installer's request for another remake - stating that the original invoice date for the door of July 2013 is outside of the guarantee period of 10 years. Rockdoor also pointed out that they do NOT issue a new guarantee with the replacement door. Rockdoor’s response on this issue is very disappointing; considering how much they promote and vaunt their products as being market leaders. The reality now appears that they just don’t stack up to the their own hype. Clearly we are not alone in experiencing defects with their doors as cracking and warping issues with their composite door slab appears now to be a very common defect with this manufacturer’s door and we note numerous Google reviews, other review sources and social media posts that bear that out to us now i.e. just how bad Rockdoor products actually are, which was not apparent to us at all back in 2013. Were we to be looking for a new door now, we wouldn’t be touching Rockdoor with a bargepole.

I have come on this site to just check if it was possible to get like a black touch up paint as I have a very tiny like pin hole blemish where the paint has come off nothing really worth writing about. However I was reading a lot of the reviews and I was surprised that Rockdoor does not have a higher review and clearly some people have been unlucky with their doors. I can only speak for myself as I have now had a rockdoor for 8 year's and it's black and faces south and gets the sun all day and I have had zero warping or paint issues. I also had a crazy female full on kicking my door in for ages last night and I was certain it would be dented and I couldn't believe it when checking today there was not one single dent in the door. So I personally have to give them five star review.

Impregnable, unbreakable, uncrackable security? I found out to my cost that this is not the case having my house burgled and my car stolen with the thieves coming through the Impregnable, unbreakable, uncrackable lock. Upon contacting Rockdoor I was met with total indifference and reference to T and Cs with them stating I must have left my keys in the door which is not the case and was made clear in my statement to the police. They also stated that as I didn't have the lock because the thieves took it that they couldn't conduct an investigation so levelled that at me as the customer to assist their getting out of their guarantee. They then also dropped a shoulder and stated the lock is made by Avocet who will not pay out on their guarantee if they don't have a lock to look at so deflected blame further. On the whole and in my experience their guarantee, their marketing and their claims around the lock are obviously false. I have crime numbers and emails to support what I am saying. My advice would be to be aware of the above and if a purchase is made do not expect any support from the company and total disregard by them for what has happened. None of them has contacted me to establish what happened and they appear to have total disdain for the customer. This also seems to be prevalent in other posts on here.

Had a Rock door fitted in 2018, nothing but bother, it even opens by itself, has had 2 full new panels fitted in 5 year, 1st warped and the second cracked, issues with locking system, and many other problems. Love how the door looks, that's why I bought it but it's 100% no where near the safest door, would not recommend a Rock Door to anyone and feel so sorry for the company we bought if off as the we our area suppliers, they have been super(Stanley Windows in South Sheilds) . Thank god its all under warranty. Worst £2000 I have spent in a long time.

Just had a composite Rockdoor fitted and already I'm disappointed. It's been sold as an A rated door but is suffers from thermal bridging. Condensation visible around the door where the metal frame is fitted internally. If there is thermal bridging, it shouldn't have an A rating. These doors are sold under false pretences

Had a Rockdoor fitted by my local installer (who were great) nine and a half years ago which came with a full 10 year guarantee. Being just inside of this period I noticed a couple of cracks appear so I contacted (via my installer) Rockdoor to enquire about a replacement. After supplying them with all the necessary paperwork (serial number, hand signed guarantee etc) they then decided that my door was all of a sudden only guaranteed for 5 years !? This is unacceptable and I am currently in contact with Trading Standards regarding my consumer rights. Very poor. One to definitely avoid.

If I could go lower than 1 star I would. Very poor quality product. The door started cracking after a year. Cracks still growing. Their customer service is non existent. I was merely offered a discount on a new door. No thanks.

Had the door 6 years and it is starting to split from the letter box area. Also the black fades in the sun. Better doors are available eslewhere for a cheaper price

Had the door ordered by the installer, in grey. Door had marks on them , the hinges part has all yellow glue that does not come off. Contacted rockdoor as gurantee is with them but staff are useless keep saying go to installer but the door came from them. I have been stressed for the last 12 weeks not getting anywhere, paid alot for the door. I would not recommend buying a rock door.

Lovely looking doors but absolutely rubbish quality, waiting for our fourth to be fitted after the first three bubbled, will be speaking with their legal team about a refund because I’m sure the fourth will fail and then we’ll be out of warranty with a sub standard door. Pics below of their third attempt at making a door, not as bad as their first 2 efforts but not what you expect when spending £2000+. DO NOT BUY THESE DOORS…….

I have read many reviews on the Rockdoor, and have a very mixed opinion on them. Yes they are one of the best doors around, BUT they have a major problem with quality control and the sunlight! I don't think you will find a better designed and built door, but there are issues with this bubbling thing. I'm on my 3rd door now, after the first had build issues on the inside moulding. The second after 5 years on the outside moulding. The second problem has occurred after the very hot summer 2022, and the door facing into the sun most of the day. This problem had only appeared after this hot summer, but even so has made the door cosmetically awful. After all the problems, a new door has been made again, but more cost and time to fit. The other issue, the new 3rd door has a mark on the outside!!! Oh dear Rockdoor, WHY????? Anyway, would I buy another Rockdoor, Yes I would, but ONLY if the door faced into the sun for a short length of time not all day. Now down to you Rockdoor, answer some of the complaints on here, and put peoples minds at ease, by telling them you offer a guarantee for warping which they probably do not know!

Honestly one of the worse manufacturers I have come across. We had our first Rockdoor composite door fitted five years ago and since then we’ve had two more! Albeit free of charge for the faulty doors supplied I’ve still had to pay fitters to change them. You as a company really to sort yourselves out because you’re a big enough company to be able to supply good units and actually have a good name for yourselves! As it stands I would advise any future customers to look elsewhere for a composite door and listen to your fitter like I should have done back when they suggest staying well clear of Rockdoor!
