Pri Maku smo bili že velikokrat v zadnjih 7+ letih (tasting in teden restavracij) in z vsakim obiskom je izkušnja slabša. Naš zadnji obisk za ta teden restavracij pa je bil popoln polom. Nezanesljiva postrežba, kaos v in izven kuhinje, ter izredno podpovprečna hrana. Lahko razumem, da se določene jedi iz leta v leto ponavljajo, ne morem pa razumeti kako lahko takšna restavracija postreže telečji zrezek, ki je popolnoma nezačinjen in žilav. Izpostavil sem eno jed, ampak prav nobena jed ni zadovoljila, kaj šele navdušila. Prav tako, nihče v naši skupini štirih ljudi se ni niti malo nasitil. Za ceno 35+ eur na osebo bi pričakoval vsaj to. Žalostno.

Mogoče res nimajo michelinove zvezdice, ker hrana presega to nagrado (zaslužijo si najmanj 2). Res enkratna izkušnja, odlična hrana, lastnik je zabaven in poskrbi za najboljše vzdušje. Toplo priporočam!

This is quite an experience. I wish I knew more about it before going. My expectations were certainly far too high so it ended up being a disappointment. This restaurants feels like you are going to someone's house to have a meal. There were 19 guests on this day. Everyone eats the same thing at the same time. The website offers 2 choices. M and L. In the end everyone is served XXL. I lost track after a while. There were around 25 "things" to eat of variable sizes. It was far too much food. We nearly felt sick at the end and it was the case as well for other guests. The food is also a bit unique. The chef is somewhat a little crazy. Everything is surely a LOT of effort and work. A lot of the 25 "things" are complex with many ingredients (often far too many in my opinions). Some flavor combinations are trying to be smart, but didn't go well together (the simplest example is the cucumber and mint sorbet with watermelon as a palate cleanser between a fish course and a meat course). Some courses we good but nothing mind blowing. Some "things" were useless (the porc fat on top of a stale slice of bread as an example). I think the chef has great potential. My suggestion is less courses, more focus, purer combinations... Probably less food overall. I can't recall a single meal in my life were I had more food. And this is out of 30000+ meals ! So make really 2 or 3 different options (M, L, XL). Waiters were nice, but to serve 25 things, empty 25 plates, give 25 pieces of cutlery and fill many glasses of wine, they were completely overwhelmed and had to run for around for 4 hours. For quite a few dishes we weren't told what we were going to eat and for quite a few it is far from obvious. The bill ended up to be quite high. It felt like more a reflection of the quantity of food that we didn't really want (correction : that we really didn't want), than the quality of the food. There are other restaurants in the area that offer much high quality at a lower price point.

Wenn wir nicht 13 stündige Autofahrt hinteruns gehabt hätten, wären wir bestimmt auch Sitzen geblieben um diese Kulinarische Spektakel zu genießen. Leider war uns nicht mehr danach. Allerdings war das Personal seeeehr freundlich.

Nachdem wir schon mehrere Male im Hisa Denk (geführt von David's Bruder) waren, wollten wir endlich auch mal das Mak in Maribor ausprobieren. Der Service und die Betreuung von David und seinem Team haben uns gut gefallen, dem Essen fehlte uns allerdings der fünfte Stern. Auf uns wirkte das Menü nicht ganz konsistent und die Geschmäcker der einzelnen Gänge zu wenig differenziert. Dennoch, ein Lokal auf hohem Niveau, das wir bei Gelegenheit gerne wieder besuchen werden.

Cudowne miejsce, kucharz David zrobił nam dzień fantastyczna atmosfera, dzieciaki zabrał do kuchni i sami zrobili makaron dla siebie. Przepyszne niestandardowe jedzenie ślicznie podane. Prawdziwa przygoda!

Vielen Dank für diesen außergewöhnlichen Abend, der uns sicherlich lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird. Besonders macht dieses Restaurant vor allem das Gesamtkonzept aus hervorragendem Essen, fantastischen regionalen Weinen und einem leicht schrägen Unterhaltungsprogramm von David, bei dem man nie so recht weiß, was als nächstes geschieht. Hier wird man alles finden, jedoch kein typisch traditionelles Dining Erlebnis. Aber gerade das hat es für uns ausgemacht! Danke auch an das gesamte Serviceteam. Für die gebotene Leistung fanden wir Preis/Leistung mehr als fair. Ausreichend Zeit mitbringen!

Wenn man die etwas andere Art von Essen sucht, dann ist man bei David und seinem Personal bestens aufgehoben. Küche auf höchstem Niveau, ausgefallene Kreationen, ungewöhnliche Kombinationen, Live Cooking, geniale Weine als Begleitung, Entertainment von David und Jure Ausreichend Zeit und Hunger mitbringen, um diese kulinarische Show genießen zu können.
