Definitively the symbol of the Slovenian capital, which can be admired from literally every point of the center as it dominates Ljubljana. From the castle there are various vantage points from which you can see the city center quite well and, when possible, you can also see the Austrian mountains. To reach the castle you can use the funicular or you can also reach it on foot. The climb is not impossible so I don't recommend using the funicular in order to save some money. I think the Castle itself is only beautiful as a panoramic point, as I don't think the interior is worthy of a visit

Per essere un luogo di recente ricostruzione è apprezzabile, ed è in una bella posizione in alto sopra il centro storico. L'audioguida contiene spiegazioni dei punti salienti, con brevi approfondimenti storici (è risultato un po' difficile trovare i punti nonostante la cartina fornita). Il castello include compresi nel biglietto di ingresso il museo delle marionette e il museo storico, e la salita alla torre più alta con bel panorama sul circondario. Noi abbiamo raggiunto il castello in auto (in cima c'è un parcheggio non grandissimo) ma è raggiungibile anche a piedi (non ho visto direttamente i percorsi ma credo siano in salita e con gradini). L'ho visitato durante le festività natalizie ed era piuttosto affollato. Nel castello ci sono anche dei ristoranti (non provati).

beautiful castle, very interesting, very well maintained after so many years, although there is not much to see inside, it has a nice park to walk. The museum inside has audio guides in several languages, including English, French, Slovenian, and German.

Majestic castle overlooking the city center. Rating back to 13th century. Ticket will set you back around $14 as of Jan 2023. There is Michelin star (2022) restaurant inside. Tower is a must see. There is also a virtual tour of the castle which is also a popular choice for people visiting the castle.

Ovo mi je treći put da sam u dvorcu i na žalost nisam oduševljena ovaj put kao i prije, razočarana sam cjelokupnom izvedbom sanacije dvorca. Za ulazak u dvorište dvorca nije potrebno kupovati ulaznicu. Nije potrebno ići uspinjačom jer uspon nije dug i šetnica je prekrasna do dvorca. Originalno izgleda kapelica i zatvor. Previše je modernizma ubačeno u dvorac. Pogled na Ljubljanu je prekrasan.
