The whole building was very cold, and our room only had a little radiator, which wasn't enough at all. We had to use hairdryer to get it a little bit warmer. Out of the 4 lightbulbs in our room only 1 worked, so the room was also pretty dark. The common bathroom had a nice big bathtub, which you can't use for bathing because they didn't provide a plug for it. The only upside is that the common area looks nice and the kitchen is well equiped, but both are super cold. Overall I wouldn't recommend this house in winter at all.

Place is near river, but there is no access for guests, to many rules and the atmosphere is cold and unwelcome.

Absolutely not worth staying here. If you want to experience bad hospitality and have a panic attack then this is the place for you. I think nazis are more tolerant that the owners of this place - they are constantly watching every step you make trough the loads of cameras they have installed in the house. There is one camera in every common area (kitchen/hall/stairs) at every corner (see photos attached). I took the hair dryer to my room which I put back in the bathroom as soon I was done, it took me 15 minutes at most - immediately one of the owners came after me to YELL about how I shouldn't take the hair dryer. Also we got yelled at and kicked out of the kitchen for wanting to eat there our own food at lunch time because the owner had a sudden urge to disinfect the kitchen, which is disinfected everyday, as soon as we walked in there. To not speak about the fact that the first night when we walked in - we took the slippers to our room without changing from outside shoes right at the entrance - after 5 minutes the owner sent us a message and came after us to tell us we should take off our shoes. Mind you it was late in the night, around 1am, which means only one thing - they are constantly watching the cameras. Control freak sociopaths!!! To the owners: If you can't tolerate people - change your occupation!! P.s. So sorry for the guy in the reviews under who was kicked out with his family because his hungry and tired newborn stared to cry.

So glad I found this amazing guesthouse - would 100% use again| |Liked · I've just returned from a 3-night stay at Guesthouse Soul and it's one of the best-value accommodations I have ever stayed in.||When I was considering booking, the only negative reviews I saw were regarding the CCTV in communal areas and the fact that you need to wear slippers around the property - for me, these gave me confidence that I would have a pleasant stay, however. In particular, the CCTV works well as it encourages other guests to respect each other and keep communal areas clean. If you intend to respect the property and fellow guests, then you have nothing to worry about. The slippers also keep the floors clean and are comfy (you get provided with a freshly cleaned pair on arrival).||The shared bathroom (I only used one of them) was always impeccably clean, very spacious and I never had an issue with it not being free. The shower was extremely clean and one of the nicest I have ever used. People didn't overuse the hot water. On the first day, the toilet paper in the bathroom was a bit scarce and eventually ran out at night; it was replaced the next day, however. It was unclear how to use the bathroom blinds as I hadn't seen that type before - I was slightly afraid to break them.||My room was spacious and the right temperature, and the bed and pillow was very comfy.||Communication with the host is clear and fast; you do not meet them but you can always send them a message if there are any problems / you have questions.||The property is a bit further out of the city centre than others, but it is worth it for its great value. You can catch frequent buses to the city centre which take 10-15 minutes and cost 1.30EUR per 90-minute ride. The property felt safe. The main road can be a little bit noisy in the daytime, but this wasn't an issue for me at night. On balance, it's fine, as it's really close to ALDI (Hofer) and the bus stop.||The kitchen has all the necessary utensils - there's no oven but I believe this a good thing as it prevents guests overusing the kitchen. The dining room is nice and has access to a balcony with a view of the river.||If you're looking for a cheap place to doss about and socialise with others all-hours, then book a hostel. If you're looking for a great-value, clean accommodation where you can get a good night's sleep and some privacy whilst not breaking the bank, then look no further!

Gli spazi sono molto belli e curati, la posizione un po' scomoda ma non troppo lontano dal centro, la vista è molto carina sul canale e le camere sono fornite di quaderno con tutte le informazioni necessarie. L'atmosfera e la comunicazione sono state però un po' strane e leggere altre recensioni ha confermato le mie sensazioni: nello stabile vivono anche i proprietari, la cui abitazione è separata dalle stanze soltanto da una tenda. Inoltre, in tutte le aree comuni ci sono videocamere, cosa che ho trovato piuttosto inquietante. Spesso vedevo i proprietari arrivare quando passavo, e l'impressione era che fossero lì a controllare, magari mi sbaglio. Anche la comunicazione è stata un po' strana, forse per colpa della lingua: abbiamo avuto un problema con la carta ed il proprietario si è subito agitato, quando poi siamo riusciti a risolvere subito. Inoltre, alla nostra richiesta di avere ulteriori coperte (la prima sera stavo congelando) mi è stato detto che sarebbero aumentate le temperature dei caloriferi nelle ore seguenti (cosa vera), ma dopo aver comunque nuovamente richiesto se fosse possibile avere una coperta da aggiungere al piumino primaverile per precauzione, semplicemente non mi hanno mai risposto. Infine, il parcheggio della casa ha solo due posti, uno dei quali occupato dalla macchina dei proprietari, perciò è raramente libero. Loro consigliano allora di parcheggiare di fronte alla casa, davanti ai box di un condominio. Abbiamo lasciato lì la macchina e la mattina dopo abbiamo trovato il tergicristallo posteriore spaccato -chiaramente intenzionalmente. L'atmosfera in generale è stata un po' strana, non so se mi sento di consigliare di stare qui, anche se gli spazi sono molto belli ed il prezzo onesto.

Ostello tenuto molto bene: pulito, ordinato e a buon prezzo. I bagni sono ampi e completi di tutto, la cucina e le sale comuni provviste di frigo e freezer. Unica pecca la posizione: per arrivare in centro è necessario prendere un bus o noleggiare un monopattino! Inoltre il parcheggio privato dell'ostello è spesso pieno, ma si può posteggiare nel parcheggio gratuito dall'altro lato della strada (non molti posti ma noi non abbiamo avuto problemi).

a habitación es amplia, todo está muy limpio. Hay solo dos baños pero son amplios y cómodos. La cocina tiene todos los útiles necesarios y lavavajillas. La pequeña terraza con vistas al río es genial para desayunar. Las ventanas tienen persianas (cosa poco común en Eslovenia). La comunicación con el propietario online es fluida y te deja toda la información necesaria en los email o en la habitación. A la casa se llega muy cómodamente en bici.

Reservation was confirmed. Hotel could not proceed with payment through 3 different cards (Accepted everywhere in Croatia and Slovenia without any problems),just cancelled booking without even bothering to call me. Probably have already some guests. One star is to much:(
