Posto accogliente appena fuori città (raggiungibile facilmente). Subito vi accoglie il proprietario Tim, super simpatico vi spiega esattamente cosa vedere e come muoversi in città. Camere essenziali e bagni puliti. Si incontra tanta Gente. Consigliato.

Keep in mind, we visited during covid pandemic so the hostel was very empty. We were there one night while travelling to croatia and one night a week after on the trip back to the netherlands. Also we were by car.|||| Both times we arrived after midnight but we could still check in without problems. He helped us with anything we needed and was always reachable via whatsapp / phone / doorbell etc.

I was in Aladín hostel for the Erasmus and is a great place to stay. Very close to the city center and the landlord is always to help for what you need. You have also a supermarket at 1 minute from the house. Very recomendable

I stayed at Aladin Hostel for three months as an ERASMUS student. First I'll mention the good things: 1. I found Aladin Hostel while looking for a place to stay in Google and the reviews amazed me mainly because they all refer to the manager, Tim is indeed a very nice man and will do his best to make you feel satisfied. 2. The location is great. It's close to a bike, bus station, many supermarkets and a main road so you won't have trouble going by. 3. The price is very reasonable. This is nice in a city where rent is raising fast. You'll find a place to stay for 300 euro per month or less. Now, I'll move to the not so nice things: 1. THE MAJOR issue was that I had bed bugs and I had to live with them for over a month and a half. After a week I started waking up with bites all over me, blood stains on my sheets and painful itches, one morning while making the bed a huge bed bug appeared on top of my mattress. I inmediately told the manager about it and he came to clean (vacuum, use a steamer on the matress and spray some insecticide), this wasn't enough and I was forced to live hell for a month: due to the anxiety caused by the bugs I wasn't able to sleep well, I woke up 3-4 times during the night to always find bed bugs in my bed, sometimes even biting me. For weeks I slept with the light on which didn't really help but made me feel a little better, I was anxious of bringing them with me to the office or to my own home which made me take extra steps to reduce the chance of that happening. I didn't appreciate that the manager said "it's annoying but it's not dangerous", true I won't die because of their bites but it is a very serious health risk not only because of the bites but because of how the problem messes with your head. At least 5 people had them and some from previous semesters also which proves that it's a longterm problem that needs to be taken seriously soon. 2. The fridge was VERY gross. The students are assigned a space in the fridge for us to keep our groceries, the ones who were lucky could get one up but the ones who got a place down in the fridge had to deal with leaks from god-knows-what for weeks. We finally decided that, since obviously the owner wasn't going to clean, we'd have to do it ourselves and for about two weeks in advance we gave notice in a WhatsApp group where Tim is in as well as the rest of the students to mark the food and come to the kitchen for when the cleaning was gonna take place. And so we did, we cleaned and we found food that had expiration date of 2017, this means the fridge hadn't been cleaned for at least two years! We found very gross things but managed to clean and keep our food in a sanitary place for the rest of our stay. It bothered me that Tim was well aware of this event (as I said we gave plenty of notice) but he didn't show up or try to help, he thanked us some days later for doing it. Still, I believe the fridge should be cleaned at least every six months and that he should have come. 3. The heating system didn't work. Tim was nice and gave me a radiator that kept me warm during cold winter nights and I had the fortune to graduate the temperature in my room, but some of my friends weren't so lucky and had to wear jackets and scarfs in their rooms because the heating didn't work. Tim said it was because of some problem in the pipes. 4. Bathrooms are not always clean, sometimes over a month went by before they were cleaned again and sometimes you'd have to ask for them to be cleaned because they were unbearably disgusting and unsanitary. 5. If you're a student and plan on using your room to rest and work on school, take into account that you'll have to deal with VERY LOUD MOANS from people renting the rooms for hours only to come and have sex. This is not the hostel's fault (or maybe cause they'd come clean right after, so maybe they know people won't stay the night?) but it can be very annoying and uncomfortable.

I came in Ljubljana for an erasmus semester, and had a very nice experience in this hostel. You can both meet people with the shared spaces and relax in your own bedroom. The place is clean, Tim is kind and here to help you whenever you need him. I strongly recommend this establishment! :)

Uitstekende ontvangst!

Easy and nice hostel. Friendly staff and clean rooms. We had a private room but shared the toilet with another one. The toilet was a bit tiny. There is a bar close by that makes you discount of you are from the hostel. Approx 3 KMS from the city center and close to two supermarkets and a bakery.
