Gutes und vorallem neues Hostel. Leider war die Sauberkeit in der Küche mangelhaft. Auch Duschgel wurde nicht zur Verfügung gestellt (auch nicht auf den privaten Zimmern), auf den Gemeinschaftstoiletten waren weder Seife noch Einweghandtücher: Dafür viele Schilder die auf Hygienestandards aufgrund von COVID-19 hinwiesen: Etwas heuchlerisch. Das Toilettenpapier war in einer Art Papierspender, welches sehr unverhofft und plötzlich leer ging: Doof

A True Gem in Ljubljana 🌟 I recently spent two wonderful weeks at the Dragons Dream Hostel and felt compelled to share my genuinely positive experience. First and foremost, let’s set expectations right. This isn’t a 5-star hotel, nor does it claim to be. What it does offer is exceptional value for the money you pay. Yes, the rooms are compact, but they're designed to be functional and cozy. The capsule for two that I stayed in was both comfortable and innovative, with controls for light and temperature, something I rarely find even in some premium accommodations. But what truly stands out about this place is its cleanliness and the impeccable hospitality of its staff, especially Marko, the owner. The A/C worked seamlessly, the bathrooms were consistently spotless, the wifi was robust, and the common areas were welcoming. I was even fortunate enough to be upgraded to a larger bed and a private bathroom. The air quality, as someone who's traveled extensively, is superior to most places I've visited. Marko is not just an owner; he's an ambassador for Ljubljana and Slovenia and a truly great person. His knowledge of the local sights, history, and hidden gems is unparalleled, and he's always eager to share it. I've repeatedly observed occasions where another guest faced a minor difficulty or even a personal issue, and Marko was quick to step in, extending a helping hand without a second thought. To the naysayers about the distance from the city center, there are bikes available for a mere €1/week, buses, and scooters all located right in front of the hostel, making commuting very easy. And let’s not forget the complimentary beers – a gesture that speaks volumes about the hostel's hospitality. The staff are genuinely selfless individuals who always put guests first. Any negative encounters with the staff would truly be surprising; from my perspective, a guest would have to significantly overstep bounds or show extreme disrespect to ruin the experience, given how friendly and accommodating the staff consistently are. Addressing some of the negative reviews – the QR code system is efficient and secure. Yes, you might need your phone, but in today's digital age, isn't it almost always by our side anyway? As for the location, I found it to be peaceful, safe, and conveniently situated near a store, cafe, bakery, cleaners, and some restaurants. And to those lamenting the lack of a kitchen, let's remember the fantastic local eateries that await exploration. Lastly, I'd like to highlight the immense effort of the cleaning staff. They work very hard to ensure guests have a clean and comfortable environment. The criticisms about the staff seemed misplaced; during my stay, everyone was nothing but courteous and eager to help. In summary, Dragons Dream Hostel offers an experience that is more than the sum of its parts. It’s a blend of comfort, hospitality, and local wisdom. I wouldn’t JUST recommend it; I can’t wait to be back!!!

I will give 5 stars because the rooms and kitchen feel very clean, the temperature is well controlled, and we had no issues with the QR system, but I do not recommend you stay here if you are claustrophobic at all; I woke up at 2am in a terrible panic.

It is forbidden to house livestock in these conditions. Do not use this hostel. These people are renting underground cupboards as bedrooms. The 'facilities' are little more than a vending machine in an un-staffed lobby. They also block disgruntled guests from leaving bad reviews on booking.com. They are crooks taking advantage of young travellers.

This place is disgusting. They show pictures of nice looking rooms but the actual rooms are claustrophobic ply board cupboards. The deluxe double room we booked turned out to be more like a two person coffin. No light or air, the place is built in what was once an underground carpark. 2 vending machines serve as facilities. Total scam! Avoid at all cost!

Una creatividad fuera de lo común! Muy acogedor, buen lobby y se esta tranquilo! Tienes nevera compartida para guardar tu comida, microondas, fregadero y máquina de café. No tiene para cocinar.( O al menos que yo viera) Los baños son compartidos pero dentro hay 6 individuales. Taquillas. Abierto 24h.

I do not liked like. It's like a tomb, underground. Thank God I didn't stay there. They are very opportunistic, a hostel that constantly raises prices and makes tourists look like cows with milk. Forget about this place.

Ett fint hostel endå för priset. Det största problemet var att få QRcoderna skickade till oss. Efter en viss tid på kvällen stänger receptionen och vi ringde ett antal gånger till hosten, men han svarade inte eller sa inom 10 minuter så skickar han dem. Ungefär 20 minuter innan vi skulle till hostelet och lite argare samtal fick vi det tillslut. ||Det är ett övernattningshotell som funkar max 1 natt. Det är lyhört och inte särskilt kul att bo där, men vi fick en säng över natten, vilket vi behövde.

Terrible. Don’t stay here. You will get abused and called “dumb” if you try to ask for any help. This is a tech nightmare. If their system goes down you will be on the street. You have to sleep in bunkers, that look like coffins. The lights stay on all night and there is no safety or panic buttons should you need help. God forbid you take sick during the night. No customer service because, and I quote “the business of running a hostel, not providing customer service”???

Un endroit où passer la nuit très propre et accueillant. Nous étions 4 dans une capsule room et les draps étaient propres et les lits très grands beaucoup de prise donc tres pratique cependant sans fenêtre. Les salles de bains communes sont propres. Le gérant est top serviable et compréhensif. Le point faible de ce logement est l’emplacement à 30 minutes à pieds de la gare (dans le centre) mais c’est accessible en bus et en taxis (à des tarifs très abordables), vélo et trottinette électrique. Un séjour parfait malgré la pluie je recommande 👍

The room was small so I recommend to take the 2 person room. It was really clean and the owner helps you with everything you need. I met some travelers over there, it has everything that you need for a short vacation. I really felt safe with the system of qr-codes.

Muy chulo y original, las cápsulas son súper monas y cómodas, lo único que está a media hora andando del centro y el bus hay que pagar la tarjeta, no puedes pagar dentro del bus
