Please do not book here, they have bed bugs. I slept one night at this hostel just because I couldn’t look for another place at 11 pm when i found the bugs. For my second night i had to spend a lot of money to sleep at a hotel. Bed bugs are very invasive and had to get rid of so beware!

Nous avons dormi dans une capsule pour deux personnes. A ne faire que le temps d'une nuit tant que le confort est réduit... Pour autant l'hôtel était propre et bien entretenu. La localisation est loin du centre ville mais bien desservie par le bus. A faire sur une ou deux nuits maximum et a condition de faire des concessions sur le confort. C'est le sacrifice à faire pour avoir un tarif de nuit acceptable a Ljubjana en haute saison.

Top Hostel, sehr sauber, gute Preisleistung. Der Besitzer war sehr nett hat uns gute Tipps gegeben und mit uns sogar einmal gegrillt. Die Lage ist etwas weiter weg von der Innenstadt war aber auch kein größeres Problem.

Beim Zimmer war bei mir alles perfekt. Es war immer recht kühl und die Räume bzw. Zimmer sind gut durchlüftet. Auch gab es gar kein Schmutz, außer im Gemeinschaftsbaderaum. In der Nacht hört man leicht die anderen Gäste, aber dafür gab es keinen Verkehrslärm, weil die Zimmer im Untergrund sind. In die Innenstadt braucht man leider min. 30 min zu Fuß. Die Mitarbeiter sind recht freundlich. Es lohnt sich einmal das Kapselhotel auszuprobieren!

The hostel is good. It is not in the city center, but it is well connected with public transportation. Overall it is clean, however the toilets could be a more. They have a very small fridge, if you are looking to buy some food and storage there, it might not be the right place to stay. Checking shall be more informative. There is a kind of QR code. We arrived and there was no one at the reception.

Decided to write my 1st review of accommodations ever here, since it was indeed a very bad experience. The staff was unattached, which made the check-in process really messy. I waited for 2 hours to be led to my capsule. The AC did not work well. Thus I had to open the capsule door to sleep. There were bugs and mosquitos in the room, which made my stay there quite unpleasant. What was worse, at 5am there started heavy music in the hostel. In conclusion, DO NOT BOOK IT.

An interesting place with a lot of potential but unfortunately just too warm to be able to sleep as the A/C wasn't working. As it's all underground with no windows and very small rooms, cooling is absolutely essential. We were due to stay 2 nights but were refunded the 2nd night because we couldn't sleep. Good customer service but wouldn't stay here again until they can guarantee it will be cool enough to sleep.

This "pods" concept hostel is not for everyone, and certainly not for me! Be sure you understand that a "pod" or "capsule" is a worse accomodation than many night trains before making a reservation. CONS: -The "double" pod we had was tiny (see picture): *Only one of us could stand in the pod at any given time. *The space between the bed and the ceiling is approximately 60cm *Place for bags, clothes, towels and shoes is scarce. - The Hostel is entirely underground.There is no windows. -During our stay 1/3 of the bathrooms were out of order. -The lights in the bathrooms turn off regularly, you have to get out of the shower in the complete dark, to wave your hand to activate the light sensor again. -The sheer number of cameras and the "jokingly" aggressive comments on the signs made me feel like i was trapped in a dystopian world. - The advertisement on booking.com was misleading PROS: - The hostel was clean. - The matress was good. - The bathrooms are new. CONCLUSION: I would not recommend these capsules to anyone above 1.70m, couples or people suffering from claustrophobia!

Had an absolute blast, very modern hostel with very Friendly staff. Marko is very friendly and does genuinely care about you.

Great location, although a little far from town it was easy to find, in a quiet and safe feeling area. The capsules were roomy and clean if a little hot due to no AC. The facilities were perfect, clean private showers/toilets, kitchen and common area were lovely. The staff were fantastic, helpful and friendly. Honestly couldn't ask for more, the place was perfect.

I had the worst night of my life sleeping at this hostel. There was no air conditions working - so my friends and I all did not sleep. Do not book a stay at this hostel as you risk sleeping with no ventilation and no air conditioning as well as that a lot of the doors do not close very well - which is a security risk.

The Place is infested with BED BUGS !!! we only found them at 23:45 and had no where else to go so we slept on the floor of the bathroom to get away from how filthy the room was. The QR key is annoying at best we had to leave what we were doing to walk 40 mins from the town center before our phones died and we would have been locked out. Without a charger or a way in. Would not recommend or stay again its a shame all the effort that has been put in because it could be a really nice hostel it is just filthy shut down and fumigate !!

It was okay, the capsule can get very hot. This was my experience, but I had bed bugs in my capsule so do look out for that.

Really want to give these guys 5 stars because they were beyond helpful, filled us in with secrets about Slovenia, history, and they held a parking lot bbq with some really lovely corn. Really, the corn was so good. They also gave us a free private bathroom because our stay was quite long. You can tell the owner wants your experience to be a good one. Downside is something I assume they are aware of based on other reviews: The AC in the rooms doesn't work. We slept quite hot and had to keep the door open at night. We're a couple so it wasn't the most ideal situation. With the door being open you have the hall lights turning on and off all night (which was okay for me because I sleep through anything but not so great for my partner). The walk to the city center is 20 minutes or so but the bikes you can rent for 1€/week. Pretty awesome. Would stay here again and definitely recommend it but probably for a shorter amount of time!

-I like the idea of private hostel rooms! They were pretty small, but just enough to have room for sleeping and storing your bags (we had a double). Honestly beats sharing spaces with a bunch of other people. -We were told we would have AC in our room, but it never seemed to work properly, which led to us having to prop our door open at night so we had fresh air (otherwise the room would get too hot). So you gambled privacy for a good temperature. -On the plus side, the management has a lot to tell about local attractions and hidden gems in Slovenia, and we were given a private bathroom for the duration of our stay (9 days) for free (likely because we were there for so long). I'd reach out and ask about the AC if that's a big deal to you, but otherwise the space was private, with a public space for storing food, hanging out, and washing your dishes. They play good lobby music too! At the end of our stay we were invited to a small BBQ right outside of the building, and everyone there was great, managers and employees included. They all seem to work hard at what they do, and are very compensating and sweet. Biggest downside was the miscommunications about AC. All in all, the Dragon Dream is worthy of your service, as long as you are firm with the details of your stay :) (Note to all of the staff, thank you so much!)

🖤Amazing hostel experience. Extremely clean. We’ve had capsule for two people. It was tiny (of course) but really comfortable and incredibly cozy. There is a panel to control the light and temperature! There is a common bathroom with a washbasin, mirror and hair dryer and the six separates bathrooms with both toilet and shower + basin, making it nicely private. Hostel itself had very cozy feeling and the staff was very helpful and kind. Must do. - only details there isn’t any place in the capsule to hang your towel to dry (there are four pegs but towel don’t get dry) and no trash bin but there are recycling bins on the hall so it’s not a big problem.

Usually when I stay in a hostel, it's an older building with quite run down/well used amenities, which I don't mind too much as they are cheap. Dragons Dream Hostel is the best of both worlds. This is one of the best prices hostels in Ljubljana, and the hostel itself is amazing.||I arrived late at night (past the usual check in time) due to a delayed train, this was no issue and the manager was extremely helpful, helping me check-in before I arrive, whilst also helping through the duration of the stay with any issues I may have had. Despite not seeing him during my stay, I can tell he was extremely friendly through the brief conversations we had on the phone. ||The access of the building and room is very easy, using a QR code sent via email to access both. The hostel is very clean and modern, with the pods all having reading lights, charging points (both wireless charging stations and plug sockets), with the bathrooms also being very modern and clean.||The pods also felt quite spacious. I'm 6ft1 and didn't feel like I was crammed in a tiny room, instead, I felt like I had enough space to be comfortable.||The location is a slight walk away from the city center, however, there are busses which run quite frequently, and walk is quite pleasant in nice weather.
