Where smiles are on people's faces - there is Zazid!The village of Zazid has been a part of civilization since Roman times, but it still maintains its own unique character. Nestled between the cliffs of the Karst region, Zazid welcomes rock climbers, travelers, hikers, and cyclists to stop by and experience its breathtaking beauty. Here, you can take a breath of fresh air, rest, and sleep in a peaceful environment that will rejuvenate your heart and soul.
Accommodation
Hostel Xaxid offers accommodation in 4-5 bed dorms or private double rooms with shared kitchen, common room, and bathroom. Bed linen and towels are included in the price, so there is no need to bring your own sleeping bags. Our kitchens are fully equipped with all the necessary utensils, and basic ingredients like oil, vinegar, salt, and sugar are provided. We also have an oven and microwave available. Free Wi-Fi is provided, and there is the possibility of renting a separate hostel unit as an apartment for larger groups. We also provide information about local trails and landmarks at our tourist information point, and offer the option of a cold breakfast at an additional cost.

We are dedicated to providing you with all the services you need during your journey. Our services include housekeeping, heating, trip advising, car rental, car repair, and more. We pride ourselves on offering efficient and reliable service at a reasonable and fair price.
Green Hostel
At Hostel Xaxid, we strive to be an environmentally friendly hostel. Recycling is mandatory, and we heat all water using solar energy. We also minimize the use of unnecessary electric devices like dishwashing machines. We welcome your feedback and suggestions on how we can further improve our green practices.
Family Friendly
Hostel Xaxid is a family-friendly hostel. Our rooms are suitable for families with small children, and we provide amenities such as a small child bed, extra bed, bath tub, changing table/pillow, child carrier, child seats, seats for bikes, and toys - all available for free during your stay.

Dusan ist super nett, hilft bei allen Fragen und ist sehr freundlich. Das Hostel ist sehr cool restauriert und ist wohl mal Teil der ehemaligen Stadtmauer gewesen. Alles ist sehr durchdacht und toll restauriert und ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt :)

I had the pleasure of staying at hostel Xaxid during my trip to Osp, and I must say that it was an excellent experience. The hostel is clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located, making it the perfect base for climbing in Slovenia and Istria. But what really sets the hostel apart is its owner, Dusan. He is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure that his guests have a great stay. He was always available to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and welcoming place to stay. And a big thanks to Dusan!

Nemoznost si zatopit a ususit veci, rucniky. Ale jinak dostacujici. Domaci je dobry kapr....
Hello. Thanks for your review. I can't agree with you that you can't dry things. We have laundry rack for all our guests and 2 ropes for outdoor air drying clothes. Wish you all best and thank you for your visit!

Super bel emplacement, le propriétaire est génial ! Bien situé pour aller voir la côte et les grottes 👍 Gîte un peu vieillot mais ça fait tout son charme :)

Very friendly hosteller. There are three cozy little rooms in the whole house. On the first floor there are two showers and two toilets. Large entrance hall with fireplace, sofa and kitchen. View from the window to the mountains. Sea and shops there are in the nearest big city - Koper or Izola. The hotel is located in a tiny village in the mountains.

Dusan was an excellent host who went above and beyond to make our stay (of three weeks) comfortable and interesting. The daily fire was a touch we appreciated, additionally he washed our clothes multiple times and provided me with a razor when my beard became embarrassing. When I return to Slovenia I’ll 100% choose Xaxid again, can’t recommend it enough
