Where smiles are on people's faces - there is Zazid!The village of Zazid has been a part of civilization since Roman times, but it still maintains its own unique character. Nestled between the cliffs of the Karst region, Zazid welcomes rock climbers, travelers, hikers, and cyclists to stop by and experience its breathtaking beauty. Here, you can take a breath of fresh air, rest, and sleep in a peaceful environment that will rejuvenate your heart and soul.
Accommodation
Hostel Xaxid offers accommodation in 4-5 bed dorms or private double rooms with shared kitchen, common room, and bathroom. Bed linen and towels are included in the price, so there is no need to bring your own sleeping bags. Our kitchens are fully equipped with all the necessary utensils, and basic ingredients like oil, vinegar, salt, and sugar are provided. We also have an oven and microwave available. Free Wi-Fi is provided, and there is the possibility of renting a separate hostel unit as an apartment for larger groups. We also provide information about local trails and landmarks at our tourist information point, and offer the option of a cold breakfast at an additional cost.

Green Hostel
At Hostel Xaxid, we strive to be an environmentally friendly hostel. Recycling is mandatory, and we heat all water using solar energy. We also minimize the use of unnecessary electric devices like dishwashing machines. We welcome your feedback and suggestions on how we can further improve our green practices.
Family Friendly
Hostel Xaxid is a family-friendly hostel. Our rooms are suitable for families with small children, and we provide amenities such as a small child bed, extra bed, bath tub, changing table/pillow, child carrier, child seats, seats for bikes, and toys - all available for free during your stay.

The hostel is very nice and very clean. I loved it. The host was extremely helpful, basically saved our vacation. We had car troubles on the way over, and she helped us out with contacting a mechanic and renting another vehicle.Thank you Tina and Dusan.

Un hostel tranquilo en un pueblecito de Eslovenia. Los anfiteiones muy amables y educados. Todo muy limpio. Posibilidad desayuno por 6€, muy bueno y variado. Nosotros pasamos una noche "de paso" pero recomendaría disfrutar de más días por la zona. Mucha naturaleza.

Ciche czyste i urocze miejsce oraz bardzo sympatycznie i gościnni gospodarze subtelnie dbający o swych wielokulturowych gości. I ta wspaniala nocna cisza ze swierszczami i gwiazdzistym niebem oraz polmrok uliczek ponad tysiącletniej kamiennej wsi Xaxid/Zazid. Blisko do wybrzeża Słowenii (autem 20min), Chorwacji (szybkie przejście graniczne 10 min ale uwaga zamknięte po 22:00!), Włoch (30min). Wieś na uboczu tras dosc wysoko w pieknych górach Istrii. Uwaga na dojazd bardzo wąskimi uliczkami pomiędzy kamiennymi domkami. Polecam szczególnie nocne mijanki ciasnymi uliczkami kierowcom lubiącym odrobinę adrenaliny. Wspinacze skalkowi będą zachwyceni okolicznymi całorocznymi trasami.

Superb hostel for families. Excelant owners. We stayed only for a night but could stay here for a week if we had time. Nice, big and clean rooms. If you want to cook something you can probably make an owen roast. Hostel and its ameties are clean. As for location of the hostel, you are in rural area and you can just relax and you can turn everything off (head and phone). |We shall return.

On the positive side, we've liked the price, quiet location, well equipped kitchen and soft beds.||||On the negative side: property is difficult to find and needs additional instructions from the owner; the address indicated in the booking confirmation makes you thinking it's located in Črni Kal village in Zazid street, while in fact it's located in Zazid village. Once you reach Zazid, there are signs pointing to the property, although they could be more visible - so, try to arrive before dark if possible. Narrow roads. The rooms on the first floor are reached via narrow, spiral stairs, so beware if you have got bulky luggage.||||Choose this property if interested in trekking or climbing in the vicinity; otherwise, look elsewhere if you need just a budget stop over on a longer trip.

Ottimo posto, molto tranquillo, ben ristrutturato, si trova in un piccolo paesino in collina, gestito da una famiglia molto gentile e carina, le camere sono piccole ed essenziali ma molto carine ed accoglienti, cucina a disposizione per cucinare con tutto ciò che serve, vi consiglio di fare spesa prima di salire al paesino in quanto non ci sono negozi.||Ottimo posto per girare i luoghi vicini, a soli 15/20 minuti da Capodistria, ed anche per fare qualche passeggiata interessante. Wi-Fi incluso nel prezzo, se siete in zona ve lo consiglio.
