We thoroughly enjoyed out relaxing escape to nature at Big Berry! Such an incredible team of people make this a special retreat! The breakfast arrives every morning on your front porch and the evenings relaxing in our private Jacuzzi on the front porch were great

My husband and I stayed at Big Berry for 5 days and it was perfect! It's luxury meets nature. It's setting is like from a storybook- on the Kolpa River in the middle of serene natural. The little houses have everything you can think of from slippers to robes to a fully stocked kitchen making the stay so comfortable. Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome basket that had delicious goodies from local vendors around the Bela Krajina region. For breakfast we got a basket filled with organic local products: farmers cheese, eggs, milk, salami, juice, and more. It was absolutely delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and took care of us. They took us around Bela Krajina on tours of the region and of the local vendors they work with: Berryshka, Oljarna Pecaric, and many more. You can also canoe on the Kolpa River, have a BBQ on their large fire pit, or just sun bath and swim in the cool river. We had such an incredible time here. We will definitely be back!

BIG BERRY is perfect marriage or comfort and nature. I love the settings on Kolpa river with lots of interesting things in the region as well. Normally one would not visit region of Bela Krajina, so it was lovely to see rural Slovenia.

I had an opportunity to stay with Big Berry during the summer of 2016 and it was the best experience of my life. Slovenia is such a beautiful country, with so much greenry which is perfect for relaxing holiday. Every morning you wake up looking into Croatia (Slovenia and Croatia separated by the Kolpa river), there is a basket filled to the brim with local product and fresh foods. You have an option to tour with Big Berry or go off alone. The cabins are perfect size, I stayed in one that could fit 6 people but there is also a smaller one for couples. All the cabins are made from sustainable materials and fitted with latest kitchen gadgets.
