My partner and I have mixed feelings about our stay at Big Berry. Before you read on, know that we didn't stay in one of their units furnished with a terrace and a jacuzzi. Hence, I cannot comment on those. However, Big Berry advertises their resort as a luxury lifestyle resort. Thus, I admit our expectations were high from the get-go, although we would camp in our tent. Upon arrival, we saw how beautiful the surroundings of White Carniola were. The plot where we pitched our tent, underneath a lovely tree, was large and offered us plenty of privacy and shade. In addition, the campsite itself was idyllically situated between the Kolpa river and the surrounding fields. So we got to enjoy an overall calm and peaceful camp environment (side note: on Friday and Saturday, the Croatian camp across the river organizes parties/concerts, so don't expect too much peace on those nights). Daily, the green velvet lawn doubled as a beach for everyone who landed on the banks of the Kolpa. Eager to go for a dip. The grassy bank, dotted with large trees, offered a shady refuge during the warm summer days. The location was fantastic for all those who fancied a swim in the river. The staff was very welcoming, considerate, and friendly. At Big Berry's bar/restaurant, we got to sip on a refreshing cocktail, and during the weekend, we also ate a freshly grilled burger. Although there were no vegetarian burgers on the menu, the cook went out of his way to serve a delicious vegetarian burger. My partner would also recommend the massages. So far, so good. However, shortly after our first dive into the Kolpa river, we noticed that the sanitary facilities weren't all that hygienic. So, although it's safe to walk barefoot outside, I do not recommend walking barefoot into Big Berry's two toilet and shower blocks. These facilities are one of the camp's severe drawbacks. Another drawback is the campsite's lack of proper waste management. There were only two trash cans on the premises and one recycling station at the campsite entrance, which sadly resulted in some less environmentally aware visitors disposing of their trash in improper ways. Now, back to the glamping shower and toilet blocks. During our first shower experience, the shower trays were flooding. When we mentioned this to the staff, they fixed the clogged drains, but the showers remained filthy throughout our entire stay. For the men, there were three showers and four bathrooms available on the entire campsite. The women had four showers and four toilets available. Usually, this shouldn't be an issue. Especially if the camping spots are limited and the staff cleans the bathrooms several times a day. However, there are 52 plots for tents, camper vans, RV's, caravans, and about ten furnished units. On top of that, the facilities also serve as public restrooms for the campsite's daily visitors that go for a swim in the Kolpa. In a nutshell, these basic amenities were inadequate and unable to tend to the needs of all of Big Berry's guests. Subsequently, the water pressure was so low during the last three days of our stay that we had to make do with a shower that hardly worked. To paint you a picture, I was able to shampoo my shortcut hair, but rinsing it proved to be trickier than I had hoped for, and it took me about 15 minutes with cold water that barely flowed. Now, my partner and I have traveled the world, so we are used to making do with inadequate sanitary facilities. However, when you pay for a luxury lifestyle experience in a developed country like Slovenia that thrives on tourism, you are allowed to expect more. So, despite the kind staff (which is understaffed) and the beautiful surroundings of Bela Krajina, Big Berry does not deserve to call itself a luxury lifestyle resort. At best, it is a regular, over-priced campsite situated in an idyllic location — doing slightly better than the neighboring campsites upstream.

Zelo zelo zelo lepo urejeno na nivoju, edina slabost pobiranje parkirnine in še to samo brez gotovinsko. Odgovor zakaj je tako dobiš odgovor, da so družba katera posluje brez gotovinsko a glej ga zlomka v baru je gotovina dovoljena.

Če vas pot pelje blizu Metlike,je par km stran v Primostrku letalo iz druge svetovne vojne. Lepo ohranjeno in priporočam za ogled.

A nice little resort and camping. A pity that in the first cabins you constantly hear the music from the bar. Especially a bit annoying since it's located at such a lovely peaceful spot next to the river. A suggestion for the management: some cabins have a hottub. Next the the indoor hottub/sauna put a hottub outside so one can enjoy that in the open air looking at the stars

I had a great vacation at BIG BERRY Lifestyle Resort. The area is just perfect for relaxing and admiring the natural beauty. The houses are neat and modern, located so close to river Kolpa that you can see the emerald water from your porch. The jacuzzi was a great addition to my house and emphasized the feeling of luxury and comfort. My absolute favourite activity was chilling in some of the open lounge houses. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. I highly recommend staying at BIG BERRY.
