Our room (queen + 2 single beds) is great. They should, however, service the AC fan, which is loud. Thankfully, we could turn it off at night. I've seen other reviews complaining about it: I'm removing a star for this The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Be aware that the hotel is in the pedestrian only area of Ljubljana. The hotel pointed us to a parking lot 400m away on Zoisova at Emonska.

This is a great little boutique hotel right in the centre of the pedestrianised area of Ljubljana so the location couldn’t be better. We arrived as a group of cyclists for the Maraton Franja race and the staff were all so unbelievably helpful and friendly and happily helped out with all our slightly quirky cycling needs. Such a great team and the hotel was kept very neat and tidy. Would strongly recommend not only visiting Ljubljana and Slovenia but this hotel in particular for a real great experience.

Feels like a nice boutique hotel. Very eloquent interior design. ||Great location ||Breakfast is limited but good quality. ||Staff a nice and friendly||Room was small and tight as it had ceiling eves but it was clean and comfortable. ||Overall|I would go back there, as it was nice and comfortable. Value for cost a little high for £106 a night. |

Great location to river and good restaurants, large room with a comfortable bed, knowledgeable attentive staff, and delicious breakfast, including eggs to order. Classy but friendly. Highly recommend.

I've had the privilege of staying in incredible hotels over the years and my experience at Allegro hotel has been a wonderful one! The ambience is warm and inviting and the rooms are comfortable and cozy. When one travels to a foreign country where there are language barriers, the help provided by the hotel staff, whether it's the front desk or concierge, can make or break the overall experience. I was blown away by the staff at Allegro. The folks at the front desk- Andrei and Zigo, were kind, patient and extremely helpful with our many questions and requests. The owner, Jakub, was very kind to my family, as well. The degree of follow-up and thoughtfulness made our overall experience spectacular! I highly highly recommend this little jewel of a place because the people that work there, truly, make it shine :) I underscore this because I've stayed in world class hotels where the quality of the customer experience and interaction with the hotel staff left a lot to be desired. I know I'll be coming back to Allegro, in the future, and I will be recommending it to my family and friends.

Place was cozy and homey, charmingly decorated. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Top location, just a few steps away from the river. The room was comfortable and big enough, but I missed having a shelf in the bathroom.

Man kann gut vom Bahnhof Ljublijanas durch die Altstadt hinlaufen ca.20 min.Auf dem Weg bekommt man schon viel mit von dieser gemütlichen jungen frischen Stadt. Das Personal an der Rezeption empfängt einen freundlich und ist sehr hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sind nach dem Stil des Hauses eingerichtet, sauber. Bei dee Toilettenspühlung und Lüftung müsste einmal wieder der Service drüber. Das Zimmer zum Hof kann man empfehlen. Das Frühstück könnte man noch etwas vielfältiger machen. Einen besseren Kaffee u.Espresso sollte man an der Rezeption verlangen, der wird einem dann auch sehr freundlich serviert. Trotz kleinen Abstrchen wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Denn das Personal ist einfach toll 😊

This is not a 4 star hotel. This is barely a *motel*. Because of the fact that they are the only hotel around, they let themselves act the way they want to. When we first arrived they gave us a dirty room. After that we wanted to add an additional meal, and they asked us specifically to order in advance. When we arrived to the dining room they said they were sorry because they are out of the food that we asked for. They offer a soda as a compensation. We are vegetarians, so they brought us a canned soup and than a pasta with canned peas and canned carrots. This canned meal costed 30 CHF per person! Breakfast was not very good and when we wanted to make coffee when it wasn’t breakfast time, we needed to pay 4 CHF, which is very convenient according to the fact that there is no fridge or kettle in the room. The price of this hotel is not reasonable according to the food and the service.

Generally okay service with some flaws: - breakfast could be on a nicer side (it is rather poor (law end products) with close to non local specialties and really horrible coffee); - electric sockets are also basically available only with cable extensions; - there’s no central heating so the room utilized an electric radiator with a fan, which makes noise and tricky to control; - also I personally seriously doubt the 4-starness of a place as e.g. according to German/Swiss standards. I would personally say it is an okay 3 star place in an old Bildung with all of the consequences. So enjoy.

We are three couples who travelled to Ljubljana at the beginning of December to visit the Christmas markets as well as the lovely old town. The Allegro Hotel was a great find. It was very central, it had lovely staff and a good breakfast. We had room 1 which was spacious with a nice bathroom. Our friends were upstairs and were equally pleased with their rooms. In all a fabulous stay.
