Un personnel agréable et très professionnel. Nous avons pris la formule demi pension et c'était sans regrets car la cuisine du chef était très bonne. Vous pouvez même demander des conseils de randonnée ou de balade dans le coin le personnel saura vous aiguiller. Mention spéciale pour le vin pétillant.

It’s hard to decide what I liked most about my recent three night stay at this very fine little hotel. - The location is magnificent. Beautiful views of the dramatic mountains, great hiking and running paths just steps away from the front door of the hotel, less than an hour from the airport. Wow. - The service is so friendly and helpful. My wife and I loved the engaging staff — Val, Miha, Eva, and Nichen (spelling?) helped with everything from hiking recommendations to providing early morning coffee “with pleasure.” - The food is wonderful. I don’t know the chef’s name, but each night we were treated to excellent, inventive food that tapped into the local cuisine. Interesting ingredients like bear prosciutto (!) and buckwheat made for delicious surprises each evening. Breakfasts were so good that we could easily skip lunch! - The sauna was a real treat! I discovered this too late to take full advantage unfortunately. - I heard from other guests that there were excellent bikes to borrow — we didn’t get a chance to take advantage of this unfortunately. We have traveled the world and it’s hard to come up with a hotel stay that we’ve enjoyed more than our time at the Vila Planinka!

Very friendly staff. Even though that they don’t offer lunch to external guests, they prepared very delicious menu. For the starter, local meat and cheese plate. Main dish meat and vegetarian option and big bowl of salat. Good wine options. We were missing only something sweet at the end. But we were full from the menu, so there was no need. Prices for food are reasonable, sparkling water expensive. Many thanks to the waiter for pleasent experience!

Niet al te groot hotel, prachtig gelegen met voldoende aandacht voor de gasten. Restaurant vonden wij echt een aanrader net als de sommelier Vanessa die je met veel enthousiasme en kennis Sloveense wijnen liet proeven. Erg prettige tijd gehad met een oprecht gevoel van dat we er nog eens naar terug willen gaan.

Grande déception, l’hôtel n’est pas à la hauteur du tarif qui est bien trop élevé pour les services proposés. Aucune prestation pour un hôtel de haut standing: machine à café/ thé dans la chambre. Toutefois, le petit déjeuner est très bien achalandé et la vue sur la montagne est magnifique.

La chambre était magnifique au dernier étage avec une vue sur la montagne en face. Le petit déjeuner était très bien, copieux, Très raffiné. Dîner du soir préparé par le chef, très varié, accompagné de différents vins, slogan délicieux et spéciaux. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié le maître d’hôtel, un grand blond dont j’ai oublié le nom et qui parle 5 langues: très sympa, professionnel

Loved the hotel and loved Slovenia! This was a great spot and was a fantastic place to stay. Rooms were great - spacious, well done, comfortable and all the amenities you could need. Food at the hotel was also really good - both dinner, which was outstanding and the daily breakfasts which were really well done. And everyone was super friendly and helpful. They also have great amenities like bikes to borrow for the amazing riding you can do right out of the hotel, and great hiking right from the hotel too.|We were also super impressed by the wine selection they had (all Slovenian wines) - it was a great tasting experience and they were fantastic!

I really enjoyed the Planinka. It is clean, stylish, and the food is great. Well worth a visit if you are out that way or fancy something different. It is a quiet area and remote, so for me the sweet spot is a two day stay. The staff who run the restaurant are great, and the focus is on ‘local’ which is great.

Un extraordinario hotel boutique de lujo, perdido en los Alpes del norte de Eslovenia. |El maravilloso entorno natural, mucho más tranquilo que otros puntos más turísticos del pais, la belleza y comodidad de las instalaciones, la exqusita cocina y ,sobre todo el excelente trato del personal, coordinado por el director Val, Katarina en la recepción y la sumiller Vanessa en el restaurante, hicieron de nuestra estancia una experiencia muy recomendable para quien busque una etapa especial en su viaje a Eslovenia.

Top quality hospitality. A truly restorative experience. ||Beautiful hotel, set in a stunning location, with staff who can’t do enough for you. ||The interiors are luxurious and connect you to nature. We loved the view from our balcony room and the private sauna was a really nice experience. During our two night stay, we had a brilliant massage, walked and ran to the nearby lake and hired a mountain bike for a cycle into Austria (e-bike required unless you train regularly due to the elevation). ||The food and wine were top notch. We had the four course set menu for dinner with Slovene wines, recommended by Vanesa. We didn’t need to remind any of the staff about our dietary requirements (we emailed in advance) which was very reassuring. The staff also prepared us a picnic style breakfast when we had to leave very early one morning. Our only criticism would be the lack of menus for food and drinks - it left us wondering how much the final bill would be. However we certainly didn’t feel we were ripped off. There are menus on the website, so we had a rough idea.||Big thank you to Vanesa, who provided us with some superb recommendations for restaurants and wine bars at our next stop in Ljubljana.||We can’t wait to return.

Wirklich wunderbar und besonders hervorzuheben war die interessante und gute Weinbegleitung zu einem exzellenten 4 Gang Dinner. Auch die Massage war „Extraklasse“. Das Boutique Hotel selbst ist charmant und stylisch. Sehr engagierte Mitarbeiter bemühen sich um das Wohl der Gäste. Woher sich allerdings die 5 Sterne ableiten und die entsprechenden Zimmerpreise erschließt sich für mich leider nicht. Es gibt zum Beispiel kein pro aktives Angebot um das Gepäck auf das Zimmer zu bringen. Den Rezeptionsmitarbeitern sind die aktuellen Angebote und Packages gar nicht bekannt. Am Frühstückstisch befinden sich noch die „Brösel“ vom Abendessen. Die e-Bikes sind völlig chaotisch in einem Schuppen untergebracht und weder geputzt noch technisch einwandfrei. Ein möglicher „Concierge-Service“ welche Touren denn empfehlenswert sind, wird völlig unbefriedigend und falsch beantwortet. Ich hatte mich sehr auf das Hotel gefreut, reise aber doch relativ enttäuscht ab. Schade!

We had a five course dinner here to celebrate our anniversary. While the food and the wine was great, it was Val and his service stealing the show. Sharing local passion as well as his impeccable knowledge about both the food and wine. We loved our dinner and would definitely come back. Thank you Val.

Generally nice hotel. Nice clean rooms with a comfortable bed and staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel manager was lovely. |There is a large relaxation room with saunas which was great. The hotel is well designed/decorated. ||There are very limited options for good food in the area, so you may find you will be stuck eating at the hotel every night for your stay. |One particular frustration was the lack of printed menus to be able to know what was planned for dinner each night and how much it would cost. Each night you can choose to have the three/five/seven course menu with pairing wines however they won’t tell you what is on the menu and how much the drinks cost. It felt awkward to ask each day. My suggestion to the hotel would be to print menus each day so your guests can choose whether they want to dine in, how many courses and decide if they want to order certain drinks depending on the price. We had a surprise when we got the bill to see some of the sparkling wines are charged at €15 per 0.1L per glass. They also had some repeat items from the previous day on the menus. We asked to swap items on the set menu due to allergies and intolerances and they were accommodating, however we did find it a bit awkward to ask. ||I would also suggest clarifying if breakfast is included in your stay on arrival, we were surprised to find on checkout that we were charged €29per person per day which felt expensive for what we had. The breakfast is nice but choice is limited compared to other 5 star hotels. ||Other suggestions for improvement - there is no kettle provided in the room or bottled water each day which would have been nice to have. The remote control for the TV also did not work. The hotel also does not have AC, which wasn’t a problem for our visit in May however I can imagine this would be a consideration if you were visiting during the summer months.||Overall, a pleasant stay but with noticeable areas for improvements|Overall a nice stay but definitely some room for improvements!
