I would always return to this place. Our room had an amazing view to the castle, bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was over the top with a lot of vegan/vegetarian choices, local delights and regional deserts. There is pool/spa on the top floor we have to check out next time.

This hotel scores of 5 for the service and the location. the front desk staff are a little bit slow, but they could not be more friendly and helpful. The bellman and valet parking person was fantastic. He volunteered to take my luggage to my room and to put my luggage in my car.and he wasn't one of those who stand around with his hand out waiting for a tip. But he did get a tip. The breakfast spread was outstanding. The rooms were a little dated, and the cable TV service was a bit cumbersome. I would have liked a normal sized shower. This one is one of those tiny European showers with the curved sliding doors. It's just big enough for a normal person to fit inside. The bed was reasonably comfortable. Were it not freezing outside the room would have been a bit stuffy.this is one of those old hotels where you either have air conditioning or heat, but you don't have the option to switch back and forth between the two.so I had to leave my door open to bring the temperature down to a comfortable sleeping temperature. There is indeed a swimming pool on the top floor, and it is kept sort of warm. It could have been warmer. The pool area is marketed more as a spa than a swimming. it was a little bit odd that folks were in various states of nudity around the pool. All in all, I had a very nice stay here. The location could not be better.

Actually I booked Hotel Lev, but this was closed due to renovation. So I was transferred to uHotel and apparently finally stayed in Grand Hotel Union. uHotel offers great breakfast, but rooms are mediocre standard at best. In my case heating was not working properly, there was no venting in bathroom, WiFi / Internet was extremely slow. But there's a trousers press next to the bed /o\
