We had hire car and this was a brilliant location…easy access from airport and they provided paid parking…..it was also only 5 minutes walk from the river and centre of the city. City is beautiful …small and walkable all round.pretty river running through. Hotel staff were delightful….rooms with good air conditioning and great bathrooms…quiet at night. Breakfast buffet very good.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Cubo, and I want to start by giving special thanks to the staff—they were incredibly polite, helpful, and always welcoming. A huge thank you to the reception team and the breakfast staff, who made my experience even more enjoyable. The breakfast was absolutely phenomenal! It’s cooked à la carte, and I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict with salmon and avocado—it’s to die for. They also have a small Swedish table with a selection of meats, cheeses, fruits, and pastries. The breakfast is amazing, though you should expect a bit of a wait since it’s freshly cooked, but it’s totally worth it. I stayed in a junior suite, and the room was spacious with both bath and shower options. They even left a thoughtful welcome gift—a small muffin with berries, which was a very nice touch. The location of the hotel is great, just a one-minute walk to the river and five minutes to the "Triple Bridge," which is the heart of the old town. One small inconvenience I encountered was with the "Do Not Disturb" feature. The room didn’t have a physical card, but rather a digital option on a screen, which displays near the door. I turned it on, but the cleaning staff still disturbed me, explaining that they don’t check the digital signs and rely on physical cards. They eventually gave me a card, but it was a bit misleading. Either the digital option should be disabled, or the cleaning staff should be trained to look for it as well. This was a minor issue, though, and didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment. Another highlight is the QR code system they use instead of traditional keys. It’s so convenient—you just need your phone, which we all carry anyway. The cocktails at the hotel bar were also very nice and fairly priced. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, and big kudos to the amazing staff for making it such a pleasant experience!

We actually didn’t stay here, but when we had a miscommunication with our actual hotel and got stranded in the city, the reception staff at Hotel Cubo was kind enough to help us call our hotel and then arrange a taxi for us. While we were waiting for our taxi, I was able to watch the receptionist engage with the other guests with helpfulness, grace and humour. If that’s any indication of the service to be expected from the rest of the staff, I might have to stay here if I’m back in the city.

5-Star experience during my 3-night stay at Hotel Cubo! I highly recommend this 4-Star Boutique Luxury Hotel for your stay in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The hotel had a great value for a single occupied room. It cost me a total of 549 Euros including taxes and daily parking fee. A really nice hotel for less than $200 dollars per night.

Great location, good value and friendly staff make this the ideal hotel in very-walkable Ljubljana. If you're renting a car, the staff will park your car easily and the hotel is right at the entrance to the old quarter of the city. Breakfast was wonderful with a choice of delicious hot offerings.

Siamo tornati al Cubo dopo 8 anni e l’impressione che ci ha destato è esattamente quella che avevamo già avuto: una struttura eccellente.|Siamo arrivati in auto e abbiamo quindi usato il parcheggio privato con servizio valet molto efficiente e veloce. Il check-in è stato veloce e molto professionale. Eravamo in anticipo e la stanza non era pronta ma abbiamo potuto cambiarci e partire per la nostra escursione senza problemi non prima di avere sorseggiato un caffè e fatto scorta di bottigliette di acqua fresca (tutto offerto dalla struttura).|Nei tre giorni di soggiorno tutto è stato perfetto, le persone sono state sempre gentilissime e disponibili e l’hotel è stato un punto di partenza eccezionale per le nostre escursioni. La posizione è centralissima e l’hotel ha stanze bellissime e pulitissime. |Colazione eccellente a la carte, con possibilità di ordinare quel che si vuole dal menu. |Consigliatissimo.

Excellent stay at Hotel Cubo. This was our first stop on our trip to Slovenia and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating in terms of making recommendations of places to check out. Breakfast included in the rate of the room and is absolutely delicious. Hotel room was clean and spacious. We couldn’t recommend it more!

Struggling to get my head around this place.|Location fantastic, staff super friendly and the biggest bed on the planet (we had one of the rooms that had a circular bed - whizzy!)|Loved the stay but couldn't help but feel everything was a little bit over-complicated and could just have been turned down a notch. Simple example of the breakfast being à la carte where a buffet breakfast would have been easier and more relaxing. Just felt a little on edge, not knowing process and nothing of interest on the menu for our youngster (maybe this is a parenting issue!).|Soundproofing was an issue i.e. could hear our neighbouring chatting away thru the adjoining door and, equally, people in the hall.|The main shower head had been turned towards the internal shower-wall and you could understand why as water leaked out of the shower area. Again, all great trendy design stuff but.... clashed with the real world. |Entrance to the rooms was using a QR code on your phone. I loved it - but not sure it would have worked if my parents were coming i.e. they'd want a simple key. (but maybe this is deliberate). |Did look a little worn in places.|Not sure if these are real issues TBH - or just character. My feedback. (Apologies if seems unfair).|...but after all that...would we stay again, then yes I think we would

Great hotel and service, perfect location. Traveling with a 3 and 7 years old kids, we reserve an apartment and the set up was perfect. The staff (Lucas and another guy in the reception, sorry I forgot the name) super friendly and helpful with all the info, parking, everything.

This hotel is simply outstanding – from the rooms to the staff and the breakfast. Customer service is a top priority here. The rooms are spacious, modernly furnished, and offer the highest level of comfort. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, always striving to make the stay as pleasant as possible. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, offering a wide selection of fresh and delicious food. If you are looking for a hotel in Ljubljana, I can only recommend this one. It impressed me in every way and, in my opinion, deserves 5 stars.

This perfectly situated hotel delivered!|We had a large, modern, comfortable and quiet room just 4 minutes walking distance from the old town. The staff was delightful and accommodated our late check out which was key. The breakfast was abundant and quite good.

Lovely hotel, centrally located. Rooms -more generous size than usual. The staff in reception could not have been more helpful and cheerful. Likewise the staff serving us at breakfast were so helpful& breakfast was delicious. Many thanks to all.|One small observation- we’re vegetarian- the restaurant recommendation was really poor for us. There was one veggie option and it was terrible. (We found a wonderful vegan restaurant Gaudi and Naan)

What a lovely hotel with such amazing staff! We would highly rate it and encourage anyone to stay here! The rooms are spacious and well appointed and the daily cook to order breakfast are delicious!! The location is excellent and restaurants and shopping nearby!! Wonderful stay! Ivar and Teddy were amazing!!!!

Spent 3 nights here last week. Smooth check in and all staff throughout were extremely personable and chatty. |Superb room with digital access and plenty of space both in the main room and bathroom. |The mini bar was free and topped up daily which is something I haven’t come across at any hotel before so a big win there! 😁 |Breakfast was a la carte so was fresh and plentiful. | The location was literally a few minutes walk to the pedestrian old town (beautiful by the way) and the hotel offered free bikes for exploring the city which we took up (rode them around Tivoli Park). |All in all a really impressive city hotel and absolutely no qualms of staying here again in the future

I booked and stayed in this hotel for a short one night visit to Ljubljana recently. We arrived via bus from Portoroz very early in the morning. The hotel is around fifteen minutes from the main bus station down the main road through Ljubljana. I had already been contacted by the hotel in advance of our arrival with a request for pre-registration details and our digital room key. As we were very early, we could not check-in to our room, but we could leave our bags in a small area under the stairs. The very friendly and helpful receptionist provided is with a map of the area with points of interest highlighted, we decided to go out and explore until 1pm when our room was advised to be ready. ||Our room was room 201 which was a good sized twin room. The look and feel of the room was very modern and contemporary , a little plain, but I did like it very much. We had a large flat screen smart TV, good WiFi connection, a large window letting in lots of light. The beds were very comfortable with great quality bedding. A feature I wasn't expecting was the in-room smartphone which could be used for browsing and calls. We did not use it. We had plenty of storage in the wardrobes as well as complimentary robes. ||The bathroom was very well appointed with good premium toiletries and travel essentials. The shower was a large walking cubicle with rain shower feature as well as a handheld showerhead. I will say the floor in the shower was extremely slippery and there was no non-slip mat, but there was a towel shower mat for when stepping out of the cubicle. ||Our room had decent air conditioning and even though it was situated right beside the only lift, it was very quiet. The breakfast offering at Cubo is taken in a room on the first floor, located in the corner of the building overlooking the street outside. There are cereals and pastries which were laid out for you to select yourself, but mostly the breakfast served a la carte with quite a good selection to choose from. ||The location of the hotel is fairly central, only a five minute stroll from the iconic three bridges, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in the immediate area. This is a small boutique style hotel with very attentive service from extremely friendly staff. I would recommend it highly, but it seemed it was popular with people travelling on business, judging by the other people in the breakfast room, however all seem to be welcome. We didn't eat or drink anything else in the hotel, it seemed there wasn't really any offering, not even the pavement cafe seen on photographs of the hotel appeared to be operating, but if you are on a budget, there is a good-sized Lidl over the road below the street. ||Check Cubo out if you are visiting, it's a nice small and friendly hotel which bucks the trend for large chain hotels.

We arrived at Hotel Cubo straight from a walking holiday having based ourselves at Lake Bohinj, to be honest we were sorry to leave such a beautiful location and wondered what Lubijana would offer us?||Hotel Cubo, where to begin? It’s a small boutique hotel with a very big heart and if you’re fortunate enough to meet the General Manager as we were then you will quickly realise that he (Sandi) is the heartbeat who wears the smartest suits we’ve ever seen.||Nothing is too much trouble, the staff are calm, polite, friendly, warm and knowledgeable, after all it’s their city and it’s obvious that they are very proud and why not.||This is a modern hotel, clean lines, fresh ideas, free mini-bar, I thought that might get your attention! The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and there’s a mobile phone at your disposal too. Free wi-fi both in the hotel and in the city.||Breakfast is fabulous, al la carte, order what you like and if you want more, no problem, presentation is perfect, almost like a work of art.||The Hotel is just across the street from the old town, due to its location your taxi can take you right up to the door for across the street cars are banned, perfect.||For us Slovenia has brightened our days, lifted our spirits. The city and the people have welcomed us with open arms and the Cubo Hotel in every way shows a perfect example of excellent customer service.||We can’t wait to return to the country, the city and the Cubo Hotel, the hotel with the big heart.
