Small family hotel just around the corner from the city centre. You need only 5 minutes of walk to get to Prešernov trg. The hotel was recently renovated. The rooms are big, the bathrooms as well. Clean, good bed for a good sleep. Breakfast offers variety of food. If you are with the car, do ask for a parking place when booking the room and you will park just in front of the hotel. All the famous sightseeing places in Ljubljana are in walking distance from the hotel Mrak.

We arrived here on a Friday evening. We had booked a twin room but got a double room. We did not want to cause a fuss so did not say anything. On Saturday morning we were startled to experience drilling by builders in the room above ours at 7am. We went for breakfast and experienced the worst buffet breakfast we had ever experienced. (Think black scrambled eggs, coffee that tastes like cigarettes and stale bread). A menu on the table mentioned you could order fried eggs/omelette. However, we waited 40mins and nobody took our order! That evening I mentioned to the tall male receptionist with glasses (did not catch his name) that we initially booked a twin room. He was extremely rude and told us we had not booked a twin. We ignored his rude comments and asked how much a twin would be. We were told the room would be an additional £60 (Despite us booking a twin from the outset). I agreed and visited the room on the 4th floor. It was a stale, cigarette smelling room with 80s style. I called reception and was told if I wanted a modern smoke free room that I would have to pay £85! I left and went to a hotel around the corner for a fraction of the price! Staff were rude, there are much better locations, breakfast was the worst buffet I have ever experienced and builders woke guests at 7am with loud drilling. Would not recommend to anyone.

Ottima posizione, a due passi dal centro storico. Dispone di parcheggio privato, meglio prenotarlo. Dista 50 metri da un parcheggio pubblico a pagamento con grande disponibilità di posti. Colazione buona, ma un po’ cara, personale gentile e disponibile. Non dispone di camere quadruple, al massimo una tripla con letto aggiunto.
