Average hotel. Centrally located, decent sized rooms and well-appointed bathroom. What will not go down well is the extremely low service standards.||Housekeeping is super slow, inefficient and has a strange relationship with the front office and the restaurant.||If you ask for anything to be brought to the room - e.g. an extra plate or a toiletry item (nothing out of the usual room amenities), the front desk will promptly inform you that "Yes, we will get it sent to you right away. Please note, Housekeeping will charge an extra delivery charge for the said service". huh? Extra charge for an extra plate??||We ordered room service and there was an extra service charge for a late night delivery - an item ordered from a menu ostentatiously promoted as 24-hour available. Again, while taking the order, the kitchen informed us, "HK will charge an extra fees for delivery". It's difficult to understand what they mean by "HK will charge.." Are they all not a part of the same hotel??|We still went ahead and placed the order WITH the delivery charge. Then came the most frustrating part - the food delivered was not even freshly prepared. All we received was a stale semi-warm tomato mush passed off as soup. When we complained, they said the food was prepared during the day before the kitchen is closed for the day. So while the restaurant call attendant took an extra couple of minutes to repeat twice that there's an extra charge for late night food delivery, they didn't feel the need to mention that the food served is neither fresh nor hot!! ||The room offers decent sleep quality - the least you'd expect from an IHG hotel but the service left us with a really bad experience.||So, while you can choose the hotel for a centrally located, fairly comfortable stay, just don't expect any kind of service - an extra towel, a pair of scissors, or even some paid-for food.

We just checked into a room that has not chilled down with the air conditioning for over two hours and went to happy hour before they closed with 20 minutes to spare and the only food left were two lame croissants and one sad melted sandwich plus the room, service order and most Electronics for selecting spa treatments, etc. is messed up on the TV. And staff is not most accommodating. I hope it gets better.

Well, we just checked in and the air conditioning is inadequate in the room and the software on the informative television selections is messed up. They just had to physically deliver a room service menu because the system clearly does not work plus we went to happy hour at 3:40 and there were two sad croissants and melted sandwich and something we couldn’t discern what it was, and of course, rejected the vast selection offered not to impress so far

The hotel lacks character and has no soul. While it meets the basic expectations of an InterContinental—nothing more, nothing less—the rooms, though spacious, feel somewhat worn and outdated, with some faulty lighting. The staff is professional but lacks passion. What really frustrated me this morning was the restaurant's refusal to let me in just 5 minutes before breakfast officially started. As a result, I had to leave without eating to catch my early morning train. The staff member simply said, "We're very strict here." Well—your hotel, your rules, my review. I cannot recommend the InterContinental Ljubljana and will not return.

Я был в этом отеле в первый раз в 2023 году. Отель встретил профессиональным сотрудником на ресепшен и после этого все в отеле было отлично. Очень важно, чтобы первое впечатление было положительным.. если руководству отеля и сети отелей это нужно.. если же нет….и вот 23 августа 2024 года мы снова оказываемся в этом отеле с ожиданием очень положительных эмоций. Но.. на ресепшене я слышу только слова «нет» и «не возможно». Ощущение по отношению ресепшен к гостям - что попал в отель 3 звезды. Вообще когда приезжаешь в отель 5 звезд, то ожидаешь уровень сервиса, который приятен гостю, а не делаешь так, как удобно сотруднику отеля. Мы приехали из Мюнхена в отель в 19:30. Мне никто не отметил, что я член клуба интерконтиненталь, хотя как я понимаю это обязательное требование для ресепшена. Мы попросили внести депозит наличными, но сотрудники на ресепшен были не непреклонны.- , только карта. Хорошо, мы предоставили карту. Следующим утром они правда сняли блокировку средств на карте, и взяли наличные!!! Видимо вечером не хотелось пойти навстречу гостям, мы же так поздно приехали.. на ресепшен никого не было.. так что мы не создали очередей и неудобств. Далее мы попросили сделать резерв ресторана отеля. На что тут же был ответ - все зарезервировано и мест нет. Поступил совет от ресепшена - сами ножками поднимитесь и поговорите с рестораном. Первый раз вижу такое отношение в 5 звезд отелях.. . Просто бред! Как оказалось позднее в ресторане была загрузка 30-40%. Далее нам дают ключи и направляют в номер. Просьба на ресепшене сопроводить и показать номер - вызывает недоумение?! Вообще сетевое руководство Интерконтиненталь в курсе как обслуживают на ресепшен Интерконтиненталь Любляна? Далее приходим в номер.. в 19:45 ... нет третьей кровати, полотенца, халаты и пр. - только на 2-х человек, номер не готов!!!! Полдня на подготовку номера было!!!! Это 5 звезд отель или забегаловка?!? Никаких извинений!!! Вообще.. ресторан вкусная качественная еда, хотя рекомендации закуски (креветки в диком количестве соуса) и вина (розовое) оказались крайне неудачными. Профессиональное обслуживание в баре. Красивая зона бассейна. Но.. в зоне бассейна стоят обшарпанные пластиковые стаканы для воды (фото приложу) - это просто позор для типа такого уровня отеля.. не подготовлена сауна.. я был первым утром в сауне - и думаю, что в регламент должно быть подготовка удобств - гости не сами должны наливать ведра воды, чтобы создавать пар.. а также ржавчина имеется на полу - и при возможной ране у гостей - возможно заражение. Я поделился своими наблюдениями с руководством отеля Интерконтиненталь в Любляне., и что в ответ? - получаю ответ от руководства отеля - оказывается было какое то недоразумение на ресепшене?!? (Я конечно не знаю, но такое низкое обслуживание я встречаю впервые в 5 звездочном отеле, возможно там родственники руководства отеля работают..? Другого объяснения я не вижу..) более чем стандартная формулировка - спасибо, в следующий раз мы Вас ждём!!!! Ну с таким подходом и ответом от руководства отеля - не думаю, что я там появлюсь., да и знакомым не посоветую. Я был в очень многих 5 звезд отелях в Германии, Франции, Италии, Австрии, Турции и тд.. более негативного приема гостей и странного ответа от руководства отеля - не приходилось видеть. Может мой отзыв заинтересует головное руководство Интерконтиненталь, и ситуация с сервисом Интерконтиненталь Любляна изменится.

I had a delightful stay at this hotel for a few days. It's honestly one of the best hotels I've ever visited—very fancy and elegant, with a stunning view. The location is nearly perfect for tourists. The room was spacious, and the breakfast restaurant on the 20th floor offered a fantastic city view and delicious food. In addition to the buffet, they also have a breakfast menu. However, the concierge service didn't quite meet the standards of a 5-star hotel. During my stay, the price was very reasonable, only slightly higher than that of a 4-star hotel.

The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the historic centre, and looks new inside and out.||Unfortunately we found a litany of problems with our room, which included:|- Very low water pressure, making for a rubbish shower|- Non-functioning hairdryer|- Broken shelf in the shower for storing toileteries |- Airconditioning that couldn't seem to manage less than 23 degrees|- Uncomfortable bed||Most annoying however was that, being on the 17th floor (with great views), the members of staff who cleaned/prepared the pool and spa area each morning seemed to enjoy spending the hour from 06:30am throwing furniture around making a horrendous noise. This woke us up both mornings.||All of this points to a hotel run by people who don't care about guest experience - I would hope for better from this brand, and would recommend you stay elsewhere in Ljubljana.

Rooms are clean and well decorated. Good ambient. But when it comes to the staff, there’s a problem that has to be mentioned. One of the staff (young lady with red hair who checks the mini bar) entered the room without acknowledging my presence while I was taking a shower. While showering I had the music playing so it was more than noticeable that room wasn’t empty. This was a serious violation of privacy.

What a great 7 night stay we had here. Great service from the moment we arrived, as we were using the valet parking. They offered us a reduced price for the valet parking, since we were staying there for 7 nights. We had a spacious room where everything was just perfect. We used the swimming pool and saunas daily. It can get rather hot up there with all the windows, but a quick dip in the pool can make up for it. The only thing is that non-guests can also use these facilities against a daily rate, who can sometimes be more loud and a bit unconsidering.. Luckily this didn't happen everyday. We also enjoyed their breakfast a lot, large variety, quick service, lots and lots of fresh fruits. Supermarkets just across the street, walking distance to the city center. Would defenitely recommend staying here!

This was a great place to start our road trip around Slovenia. Breakfast was great. Gym, pool and sauna very good. Easy walk into the centre of Ljubljana. No mention of parking-we found our own in a public car park. Child’s bed was not made but after a gentle reminder it was made up with no problem. Really enjoyed our stay and guest relation lady (Maija?)was fantastic!!! Than you for a warm welcome into Slovenia

Avons séjourné en famille durant 4 nuits à l'Hôtel Intercontinental. Excellent hôtel à tout point de vue ! En effet, sa situation est parfaite pour visiter les points touristiques incontournables, ses chambres luxueuses et spacieuses sont plus que fonctionnelles, son petit-déjeuner est fabuleux, d'une très grand variété de produits salés comme sucrés et d'une grande qualité, ses mets proposés au restaurant sont très raffinés avec un service irréprochable en salle (petit clin d'oeil à Lara en partie); et pour finir une grande salle de sport très bien équipée; quant au spa, nous ne l'avions pas testé, il nous a semblé un peu petit pour la catégorie d'hôtel. Enfin, le personnel de l'hôtel s'est montré très efficace à la moindre demande. En bref, je recommande à 100% cet hôtel !!

This hotel is definitely 5 star. Lovely staff, exceptionally clean and staff always on hand to help out. ||Breakfast was really good with lots of choice and flavours. There is a buffet plus a menu to order from. Waiters and waitresses very attentive and polite. ||Location is perfect. 3 min walk to bus station where buses will take you anywhere. Just over an hours ride to Lake Bled.||You are about a 10 min walk into the main area of the town. ||Room was huge, plenty of room for an extra bed for our teenager.|Bath plus a separate walk in shower. ||Nice rooftop pool and hot tub/saunas. Quite small, so you need to work out the quiet times. 5pm is busy. There are no restrictions on kids, so need to avoid those times if you want to actually swim!||This to be honest was the only real negative for us, but having a pool is an extra luxury so we went with the flow. The gym is big, husband impressed with that (I didn’t indulge!). ||There is a roof top bar with great views too.||All in all a great 6 night stay, would highly recommend the hotel to others and if we returned to Slovenia we would definitely stay here again.
