We decided to celebrate our wedding at Velika Planina and have both our families sleep over at Zafran, Ojstrica, Bistra and Zlatorog cottages, and it turned out to be an absolutely perfect weekend. The decision to choose this enchanting location for our special day was one of the best we've ever made. The entire experience, from start to finish, exceeded our wildest dreams. Amidst the stunning natural beauty of Velika Planina, cottages provided the most idyllic setting for our celebration. The cottages, with their charming allure, were an embodiment of comfort and elegance. Each detail was meticulously curated, and it was evident that a lot of thought had gone into creating a magical atmosphere. What further added to the charm of our stay was the incredible breakfast that awaited us each morning. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Koca Ojstrica. Malheureusement pour nous, le temps n'était pas excellent et il a beaucoup plu mais il y avait une petite part de magie du fait de se trouver dans les montagnes dans ce chalet si confortable avec en plus un poêle et le chauffage au sol. Ambiance garantie ! Tout est très confortable, de la chambre, à la salle de bain en passant par la cuisine où il ne manquait rien. Tout était également très propre. Rok est tellement serviable ! C'est vraiment quelqu'un de confiance et de profondément gentil. Si notre séjour s'est aussi bien passé, c'est aussi grâce à lui qui nous a été d'une grande aide. Nous ne pourrions que recommander cet endroit magique ! Merci encore Rok et peut être à une prochaine fois :)

Toplo priporočam! Ravnopravšnja kombinacija očarljive rustikalnosti starih časov in modernega udobja. Koča ima vse - net, savno, moderno kuhinjo, hladilnik itd. in pa očarljivo teraso, s katere lahko ob kavi uživaš v norih razgledih.

It was not the 1st trip in Slovenia but a stay in velika planina was the highlight of this year's trip cause we missed it last time. We wished to stop time cause it was practically heaven on earth! If you are going to be in Slovenia experience it ! Rok the host offers excellent service from booking till the actual stay and even after ☺️! He is ready to answer all your questions and his hospitality is super! The cottage experience is one I will treasure in all my life . Don't miss it next time you are in Slovenia!

We went to Velika Planina for a weekend trip with the family and enjoyed the stay in Koca Ojstrica very much. The cabin is newly renovated and fully equiped. We highly recommend it!

Great vacation! The cottage is very large, clean, well maintained, probably better equipped than many homes. Definitely order a homemade breakfast - it's GREAT! For frozen people, there is a stove that heats the room quickly, but you can also heat up in the sauna. The cottage is located only 3 minutes below the top of Velika planina, it is worth sacrificing one morning and watching the sunrise. There are also many hiking trails in the area, the chairlift is near and the pub is only a few minutes away. Great experience! The owner is also extremely friendly, always ready to help and full of advice if you want. I recommend!

We spent 2 nights in this mountain cottage. The location is really great, you have a wonderful view of the mountains out of the windows. The view point on top of the hill is also a quick walk (5min) up, which is great to watch the sunset and sunrise. The cottage is also very close to the upper station of chairlift (currently not working, they got motor sleigh to take you up) and from restaurant Zeleni rob (where you can grab a bite if you don’t feel like cooking). Rok was very kind and helpful throughout the process, helping us with organization and cable car tickets discount, he welcomed us to the cottage when we arrived and was happy to help us during the stay with anything we would need (eg renting sleigh). The cottage itself is very cosy, the sauna is perfect after a long winter day and the bedrooms are cute (especially the attic one). Winter is the perfect time to enjoy Velika planina- we had a wonderful sunny weather, went sleighing to the other side to Mala planina and grabbed lunch at Jarski dom- delicious slovenian food. In the evenings, you can play board games in the cottage ( the Forester is one they made themselves and we liked it a lot) and read, enjoy some mulled wine and sauna. The local procuts we got for breakfast were delicious and we ate them also as aperitivo in the later afternoon. The little “shop” in the cottage is perfect so you don’t need to carry too much heavy food and drinks up and can get some supply (at a reasonable price) there. We really loved it and can’t wait to come back in summer!

Cottage Ojstrica has nice view of the surrounding mountain tops and green pastures. It's perfect for few days of relaxation in remote area with peace and quiet. The access its easy if u wanna walk from parking lot or take cable car. The owner is very nice and friendly.

Koča Ojstrica ima prelep razgled. Nudi prijetno udobje in občutek domačnosti, narava je čudovita v prav vseh vremenskih razmerah, tu sem doživela najlepši razgled sončnega vzhoda, prav prijeten kraj za oddih. Poleg tega je tam tudi zelo prijazno osebje. Definitivno priporočam to destinacijo vsem, ki obožujejo oddih v goratem svetu. Zelo me je navdušilo!

Koča nudi res fantastičen razgled,pravi raj na zemlji,povrhu pa te pričaka še dobrodošlica in predvsem moram pohvaliti prijaznost oskrbnika,saj sva imeli vse kar sva potrebovali.Priporočam to je oddih da se reče in zagotovo bi se še vrnila,oziroma bi kar tu ostala 😊 Lp Ester
