Penzion Mayer is charming and an easy walk to the lake and town. We used the complimentary bikes. The hosts are wonderful and a lovely breakfast is served. The room has a balcony and beautiful flowers overlooking a scenic courtyard. Highly recommend!

Lovely quiet spot in busy Bled but easy walk to lake. Very pretty b and b with beautiful garden. Homemade lemonade on arrival before going to our room on first floor. Immaculately clean and great to have fridge and kettle! Good variety for breakfast - eggs offered on request. Unfortunately husband left his watch and the owners contacted us and very kindly returned it by post (in UK) which is brilliant service. A first class family run home who deserve the excellent reviews - thank you

Sehr freundliche Inhaberfamilie, fußläufig zum See und Ort gelegen und trotzdem ruhig, schöner Garten mit Liegestühlen, ganz tolles Frühstücksbuffet mit vielen frischen Kleinigkeiten. Unser Zimmer war ok mit Ventilator und Blick auf den Garten.

Eine Oase in Bled, fußläufig zum Ort und See, sehr freundliche Inhaberfamilie, schöner Garten mit Liegestühlen und ein ganz tolles Frühstücksbuffet. Unser Zimmer hatte keine Klimaanlage, dafür ein Ventilator, war auch ok.

Fantastic stay. Very serene and peaceful, yet being so close to Lake Bled. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is the best I’ve had on my trip! Rooms clean and well maintained. Highly recommend

La pension est très bien placée avec un parking ce qui est hyper important au lac de Bled. La chambre est confortable avec une petite terrasse. La salle de bain refaite en 2024 est top. Le petit déjeuner est local et très très varié. Lina qui nous préparait le petit déjeuner était quelqu'un de vraiment charmant, souriante et agréable. Tout est à proximité de la pension : restaurants, lac, centre ville. Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour dans ce lieu majestueux qu'est le lac de Bled.

The hotel has a pretty garden, which is shaded in the afternoon, nice place to sit if you want shade and super parking. Easy location to leave car and 10/15 minute walk to lake Bled, depending on your pace, although it is uphill getting back. It is an ideal location as a base with parking provided. However, the staff and welcome are quite possibly the worse I have ever experienced anywhere ever, in any stay I’ve ever been. In fact bordering on rude, very unfriendly and no matter location I’d never stay here again on that matter alone. The room is clean and we did have a small balcony overlooking the pretty garden. The rooms are excruciatingly boiling hot, with only a ceiling fan that does nothing to cool the room. It states that tea and coffee is provided, they did indeed have a kettle but no milk and the fridge in the room doesn’t keep anything cold, Luke warm at best. The fridge is an empty mini bar, which is not stocked with anything. I did ask if we could have a working fridge but was told rather short and sharp that’s not part of what’s provided. I would say that if you stay here it’s pretty much a necessity as the rooms are so hot and after a 10 minute walk up hill in searing heat a cold drink or a good cup of tea is well needed but you can have neither as the hotel does not have an option to purchase either, or means to keep anything cool. Rooms are pretty basic. However, a positive they do provide a lovely breakfast eggs cooked fresh any way you like, cheeses, meat, fruit, bread and mini pastries very fresh and sitting outside in the pretty garden is nice as long as you don’t mind a dozen wasps dive bombing, luckily the inside seating area is just as pretty. As delightful as the breakfast choice is, parking and ease of walking to the lake, you are made yo feel most unwelcome and an inconvenience just by your presence and that was without us making a single complaint or moan, we simply asked once if the fridge could be turned on in our room. No one smiles, checking in and out is unpleasant and the owner lives on sight but is very abrasive with everyone. I know we weren’t the only ones feeling unwanted.

As a family of four we stayed for four nights in the apartment. It was stunning. The ground floor has a very well stocked kitchen (of utilises and crockery). If you desired you could easily cook a meal there, we didn't. The main bedroom was really spacious and had a balcony, the twin room was smaller. Both were extremely clean and had comfortable beds. |For me the highlight of this stay was the homemade breakfast items, from smoothies to overnight oats, to granola and eggs cooked to order. |The gardens are beautiful and had ample space to hang out. |Loads of parking and it didn't take long to walk to the lake shore. |We also enjoyed using the bikes, the lake has some free swimming spots which are a bit of a trek (about 3k) so cycling to it was great. |Friendly staff and a stunning location. |I would happily recommend this b&b to anyone and if I am ever in Bled again would stay here. |Thank you for a wonderful stay.

It was such a great staying for vacation in Bled! So clean, nice location, varied breakfast options, quiet and cozy. Moreover, you can get free bikes. We really enjoyed it. We recommend Penzion Mayer for your visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I stayed there for 3nights and it was lovely! Location: Short walk to the lake (cut through the Rikli hotel, up and down stairs) 10mins walk from Bled Bus Station / I walked from Bled Union Bus Stop Room: Clean and Cozy. Family run guesthouse, everyone is very friendly and helpful, hospitable. Appreciated the help given (what to do around the Lake, taxi to the airport etc) Love the amazing wholesome breakfast, look forward to it every day!

We loved our stay! The owner and her family were all so welcoming. Room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was amazing. It was a nice array of fruit, pastries and more. Ons recente verblijf in Penzion Mayer in Bled was werkelijk fantastisch. Als gezin van drie personen werden we hartelijk ontvangen door de eigenaresse en haar dochter, samen met andere vriendelijke personeelsleden, die er allemaal voor zorgden dat we ons direct thuis voelden. Hun gastvrijheid was oprecht en maakte een blijvende indruk op ons.De kamers waren niet alleen kraakhelder, maar ook comfortabel ingericht met alles wat we nodig hadden voor een ontspannen verblijf. Elke ochtend begonnen we met een uitgebreid ontbijt dat met liefde en zorg was bereid. Vers gebakken eieren en een selectie van lokale Sloveense producten maakten het ontbijt bijzonder smakelijk en voedzaam.Wat ons echt bijbleef, was de voortdurende beschikbaarheid van de eigenaresse en haar team voor advies en tips. Hun suggesties voor activiteiten en eetgelegenheden in Bled en omgeving waren altijd raak en droegen bij aan onze onvergetelijke ervaring. De oprechte vriendelijkheid en gastvrijheid van het hele team waren hartverwarmend en maakten ons verblijf extra speciaal.Penzion Mayer heeft onze verwachtingen overtroffen op alle fronten. Voor gezinnen en reizigers die op zoek zijn naar een rustige en gastvrije plek om te verblijven in Bled, kunnen we Penzion Mayer van harte aanbevelen. We kijken ernaar uit om in de toekomst weer terug te keren naar deze prachtige oase in Slovenië.

The hotel is very close to the lake and to the tourist heart of Bled. You can feel and see the warm heart of this family business (run by women) in every aspect and in every detail. Litterally everything, even the garden, is super clean, neat and spick and span. For us the overall rating would be 11/10. We stayed 2 nights end of June 2024 (21-23/06/2024)

Beautiful rustic property run by a family of lovely ladies who were so helpful! The room was clean/quiet and the bed comfy - it featured everything required for a fab stay. My room had a little balcony which was lovely to sit out on in the evenings - very relaxing! There is also a gorgeous garden to sit and enjoy 😍. The property is located a very short walk from the lake and even has bicycles for guests to borrow free of charge which is a great addition! Absolutely superb stay, LOVED everything about it - cannot praise the property/staff enough and would highly recommend! Thank you Penzion Mayer, I will be back 😊!

We stayed at Penzion Mayer for 3 nights as part of a 9 day trip to Slovenia & really enjoyed our visit. We had the Apartment which is in fact a chalet in the garden of the hotel. It was lovely having a lounge with a dining area with a kitchenette. The bathroom was on the ground floor and a comfortable bedroom upstairs with a balcony. All of which was spotless and comfortable and gave us room to spread out & relax. The family who run the hotel are friendly, helpful and made us very welcome. |The breakfast is ample with a wide choice of fruits, meats, cheeses, breads, pastries & more along with eggs cooked to order. We did not need lunch during our stay! We also enjoyed having our own table outside our chalet to sit at and enjoy the garden & brekfast in the mornings. We borrowed bikes and cycled around Lake Bled which is just down the hill and the owners were good at giving recommendations for restaurants & site seeing. |While there are a lot of hotels and guest houses close by, it was never noisy and the pretty little garden makes it feel secluded. ||Thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would definitely recommend this small hotel over it's big neighbours.
