Beautiful views, historic architecture, quiet location, peaceful vibes. Staff friendly and attentive, we got alot of complimentary lil gifts. Food was also nice. The location is remote and far from happenings, other than that, it was a very relaxing experience.

Good hotel, bathroom a bit too dark, breakfast not warm enough. The staff is exceptionally friendly, specially Oar and Timmy at the restaurant and Game at the cocktail bar always there to please and serve you and made sure you were always happy.

Yesterday my partner and I checked out of the Lamai Samui and we didn’t want to leave. We stayed in a king suite with plunge pool room. It was fabulous. I loved that the shower and toilet were outdoors (still under cover) the room was amazing. The small private pool was the perfect way to start the day after a gym session. The main hotel pool was awesome. Great size and not too busy. The staff were exceptional. Huge shout out to Tam and Biggie for their wonderful service during the breakfast shift as well as their service during lunch and pool side service also. The buffet breakfast was good. Fresh and enough options to choose from. Great location to sit and unwind while watching the sea. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I loved the music played throughout the hotel. The vibe was great. The sun beds by the pool could do with a freshen up but that can be overlooked with the amount of wonderful things this boutique hotel has to offer. I had the most relaxing 7 night stay in this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to return again. The staff were amazing. Happy hour was the second highlight of the stay. Thanks to Keng, Game, Timmy, Aor, Arkar for your fabulous service. I highly recommend this hotel for couples looking for a truly relaxing and memorable stay. The experience was incredible and I will treasure the memories made. The only small disappointment was that the pier was closed during our stay. It would have been nice to sit and have a drink and enjoy the ambience. Last year we stayed at the Vana Belle resort and this hotel is comparable in many aspects. I believe The Lamai was better value for money ( we booked a great package here) Thank you The Lamai Samui for a great place to unwind, relax and enjoy our holiday in Koh Samui.

Le Spa Treatment was amazing. I had the anti-aging facial treatment. Best ive ever had. Pom was such a professional and awesome. The atmosphere and environment was extraordinary. The treatment was really effective and made a big difference to my face. My skin is now smooth and firm. I feel 10 years younger.Pleasant communication. Highly reccommended. The Lamai is a great place to unwind. The rooms are large and bright, every corner is inviting and full of positive energy. The employees are extremely nice and try very hard. Our current stay could hardly be better, we definitely feel very comfortable.

I highly recommend this fabulous hotel. For those who’s reading the reviews, please note: The hotel is the most peaceful stylish and everything you can ask for in 5stars. I’m obsessed with the interior, and its staff! Chilling a full day at the pool and going to the spa is a must.

I am currently still at The lamai sumui resort, and could not wait to leave a review. The service has beenً amazing !! My daughter and I have been touched by each gesture , from the gifted dates to how the breakfast service is. One thing to remember that the food is NOT Halal apart from that I can not fault the service. We don’t want to leave. We have booked the Pavillion Pool villa and love the privacy. I highly recommend this resort. Special thanks to Room manager Kiki. I have already started to tell all my friends and family about ur service. Can’t wait to come again

Wir hatten die Ocean Pool Villa und waren sehr zufrieden. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und man hat einen wunderschönen Außenbereich mit einem großen Pool. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber! Das Frühstück war gut, es gab alles was man braucht. Wir haben paarmal im Restaurant gegessen und es war immer sehr lecker. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und man hat sich immer sehr willkommen gefühlt. Die Thai-Massage war auch super. Uns war vorher schon bewusst das es keinen „Strand“ gibt, da wir beide sowieso lieber im Pool sind störte es uns überhaupt nicht. Wer natürlich wert darauf legt.. bucht natürlich lieber ein anderes Hotel :) In der nähe gibt es den Silver Beach paar min zu Fuß. Dort kann man auch einen Strandtag verbringen. Natürlich etwas mehr los dort.. Ich fand die Lage sehr gut, viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten & Restaurants in der Nähe. Zum Markt sind es auch nur paar min mit dem Auto/Roller. Es fahren überall Sammeltaxis rum. Also im großen und ganzen waren wir zufrieden, Unser Zimmer war nicht veraltet oder sonstiges. Klar einige Sachen könnten ausgetauscht werden einfach weil es optisch dann schöner wirken würde aber ich denke über sowas kann man wenn alles andere stimmt drüber hinweg sehen.

It is a place to be, Whether you are in a group or travelling as a couple or a solo traveller. This place is mystical, serene and oozes out positivity. A place where I just forgot about time until the time I had to fly back. Each rooms has lot of natural light. The food, the ambience, the view from restaurant all so beautiful. Resort immerso nel verde, di alto livello, dotato veramente di tutti i comfort possibili. Servizio eccellente, colazione ottima. Camera (veranda ) romantica spaziosa e super silenziosa. Letto matrimoniale Kingdom size, con tutto incluso. Ci si deve portare solo il necessario pet vestirsi. Ci ha pienamente soddisfatto. Peccato solo per il mare, non adatto per nuotare e con le alghe. Basta comunque spostarsi un po’ a piedi camminando per ben la spiaggia e il problema è risolto. Super consigliato!!

Kurz nach der Fertigstellung war es bestimmt ein sehr schönes Hotel. Jetzt ist ein deutlicher Renovierungs-Stau zu sehen, und zwar überall. Sowohl im Innern, als auch an den Aussenanlagen ist die Vergänglichkeit des Materials sichtbar. Unser "running gag" war: Wir waren im einzigen Hotel mit Strand aber ohne Meer. Bei Ebbe kann man nicht ins Wasser, bei Flut ebenfalls nicht. Zu flach, zu schmutzig. Der riesige Steg dümpelt in flachem Wasser, die Möbel sind zusammengezurrt und nicht zu nutzen. Der Pool ist veraltet, das Wasser mässig sauber, die Liegen + Polster sind unwürdig, die Sonnenschirme teilweise zerrissen. Das Personal war hingegen super. Absolut freundlich und hilfsbereit. Immer zur Stelle wenn es Fragen oder Wünsche gab. Ein Tipp an den neuen Besitzer des Hotels: Umfassend renovieren und ehrliche Rezensionen zulassen. Das Personal behalten. Oder: Schnell wieder verkaufen.

Eccezionale. In stile Thai con eccellente servizio e ottima posizione sul mare. Bellissima piscina a sfioro. Colazione completa. Le camere al piano di sotto hanno una piccola piscina privata con idromassaggio. Peccato l'acqua sia a temperatura ambiente e quindi un po' fredda. Toilette e doccia sono all'esterno della stanza e sostanzialmente all'aperto. Veramente piacevole. Oltre a questo c'è la veranda sul giardino. Sono disponibili anche ville con piscina privata e vista mare. Bellissimo ed elegante l'ingresso. Molto particolare

Abbiamo prenotato una villa su spiaggia con piscina privata. La villa è molto ampia: camera da letto, bagno, vasca esterna e soggiorno esterno con divano e tv. Bellissima la piscina. Peccato che da essa non si veda il mare perché ci sono delle siepi che ne impediscono la visione. Altra cosa che non capisco: la spiaggia e il mare sono davanti alla piscina della villa ma non è stato creato un accesso (basterebbero tre scalini). Se si vuole quindi andare a fare il bagno in mare bisogna uscire dalla villa, fare tutto un giro e scendere in spiaggia. ||Altri lati negativi della camera: l’aria condizionata non è gestibile in autonomia. C’è un telecomando ma è totalmente inutile. Le luci della stanza sono tutte collegate tra di loro. Se uno vuole leggere un libro deve farlo con delle luci da stadio. Se si è in coppia e uno dei due vuole dormire, non è assolutamente fattibile. Le luci dei comodini sono inutili. Il letto non ha una zanzariera ma due tendine ai lati, che da sole sono totalmente inutili. C’è un apparecchio chiamato Moszero che dovrebbe eliminare le zanzare ma è un semplice vaporizzatore. E infatti ci sono molte zanzare. |I vari vialetti del resort non hanno indicazioni e ci si perde. Non ci sono cartelli che indicano i numeri delle camere e anche all’ingresso dei vialetti mancano le indicazioni di quali camere si trovano all’interno. Si gira a caso e ci si perde.|Nota molto negativa per la zona sdraio e la spiaggia. La spiaggia è molto stretta e non ci sono sdraio. Le uniche sdraio presenti sono quelle lato piscina. Di fronte alle sdraio, come nelle ville, sono state posizionate delle siepi. Quindi da sdraiati non si vede il mare. I materassini sono vecchi e usurati. i clienti occupano le sdraio già dal mattino presto con gli asciugamani e questa è una usanza vergognosa che dovrebbe essere impedita dai gestori dell’hotel. Noi abbiamo segnalato il problema ma non è stato fatto niente. In mare c’è un orribile enorme pontile creato con delle boe di plastica. Davvero bruttissimo. Inoltre l’acqua è spesso bassissima ed è quasi impossibile fare il bagno. Noi dopo pranzo ci spostavamo|alla alla spiaggia di Lamai.

We hebben een fantastische tijd gehad bij The Lamai Samui. Het personeel bezorgde ons een echte vijfsterrenervaring. De receptie regelde alles voor ons, van taxi’s tot excursies, en zelfs de schade aan mijn koffer werd vakkundig gerepareerd door de technische staf. Onze kamer had een privézwembad, wat voor de nodige privacy zorgde. Bovendien waren er voldoende maatregelen genomen tegen muggen, en Europese stekkers konden zonder problemen worden gebruikt. Het complex ademt een prachtige oosterse sfeer uit, wat het verblijf extra bijzonder maakte. Het restaurant biedt zowel westerse als Thaise gerechten aan, waarbij wij het Thaise eten persoonlijk beter vonden geslaagd. In eerdere recensies werd het hotel als verouderd bestempeld, maar ik wil dit graag nuanceren. Het hotel is goed onderhouden, al zie je wel dat het wat ouder is—iets wat overigens ook geldt voor Nikki Beach op het eiland. Ik hoop dat ze na dit seizoen de kussens van de strandbedden vernieuwen. Het enige minpuntje was het strand. Het hotel ligt in een afgesloten baai,het water is erg ondiep en zonder golven, waardoor het niet echt uitnodigt om te zwemmen.

Unfortunately the hotel service just lets the hotel down. The room is nice but that’s most likely because I booked the most expensive option but for £350 a night you expect much better. It’s almost like being scammed for that price…. I just came from the Vana Belle so I will compare a 5 star hotel to a 5 star hotel. The breakfast is shocking! Not much to choose from and low quality. They will make you an egg but they won’t bring it to your table !!! That is shocking for a 5 star hotel. I’ve had a better breakfast at low budget hotels. At the Vana belle they have a small buffet but a big menu with many amazing products to freshly order! Lack of service and staff, there is not many employees working here, their uniform also doesn’t resemble luxury 5 star resort, most of the staff are friendly but when you compare the level to the Vana Belle it’s completely different. No activities whatsoever for the guest. No personal butler services The beach is pretty poor compared to photos online very rocky, not clean. If you are expecting luxury, great service and a great breakfast and a memorable holiday go to the Vana Belle. The Vana belle go miles out of their way to make your stay memorable If you want to pay premium 5 star hotel prices but expect low service, poor breakfast book the Lamai.

The photos online set this hotel up for failure. My guess is that the pics were taken before Covid, when the hotel was a Le Meridian property. Today, the pool cushions are ripped and dirty, there’s rust on the umbrellas and the property in general looks like it’s not being well maintained. I was really excited to have dinner on the floating dock that was beautifully pictured online and was disappointed to see the chairs wrapped together with a bungee and the dock bar closed. I would not recommend coming here with children. We have two kids and when they played at the pool we felt like they were a nuisance to other guests who were lounging peacefully and within splashing distance from the tranquil pool. The water in the room would go from warm to scalding hot without warning. The bathrooms are not air conditioned and have mosquitos, so the kids didn’t like the room. The property is well outside of Lamai so a taxi is required to get into town in the evening. The property would have received a better review if proper expectations were set online with the photos but we were disappointed upon arrival and it didn’t get better after that. Not recommended.

So first off, the pictures on GMaps/Wxpedia/ TripAdvisor are lying. It’s the same hotel but it’s very second hand and worn down. There’s rips on the sun loungers and the whole place doesn’t feel “new” like their images. The hotel definitely needs a lot of Love. Regarding the room - we had a room with a plunge pool, which was so nice to have after a big day out. The room was clean. But the air conditioning made the room smell funny and it gave up on us on our third day. Breakfast was decent. The buffet breakfast has the necessities and can’t complain. The staff were very friendly but not attentive. There’s no one at the door and there’s no manager greeting you at reception, but thats okay. Ultimately, our stay was good, but we felt let down because it didn’t look like the pictures. The hotel is advertised as a 5 star hotel but it’s not more than a 3 star. Even the beach that the hotel is on doesn’t look like the pictures, so it was very disappointing. But the cleanliness of the room was good and the room itself was nice but I wouldn’t recommended staying here.

The staff were very nice and the hotel has a lot of potential, however it’s very dated and old and is not very well maintained. We chose this hotel as it was “5 star” and the photos online looked great, however once we arrived we soon learned it’s not more than a 3 star hotel and the photos were not as good as we saw online. It feels like they have just let the hotel go, with rusty equipment, dirty and broken sun lounges and the beach is not usable and sadly is not actually on Lamai beach. The rooms were nice, however dark and for a so called 5 star hotel they give you instant coffee and a kettle. The air conditioning was also very temperamental and despite them coming to fix it one night it didn’t work and we spent the night sweating. The breakfast was nice but again only 3 star quality. I would not stay here again and do think they need to update the hotel and/or not charge the same prices as more luxurious hotels.
