If you care about our democracy, don’t stay at this place. All the tv’s are set to propaganda news channels. You think a nationwide establishment like Hilton would know better and put on something neutral…

I paid to stay here for a one night getaway for myself away from the kids while my husband watched them - it was supposed to be something special but was a terrible experience. I was just a mom deserving a nice peaceful break. Frankly so bad of an experience I’ve no interest in even using the Hilton brand again after being a member for nearly 15 years & staying with them all over the world. The hotel will not even offer an apology and a refund. Save your money & stay at one of Houston’s MUCH MUCH better hotels like Hotel Zaza.
My experience:
Upon walking into the check in area, I noticed that the place was nasty - There were crumbs all over the floor, wet dirty towels in the elevators, food pieces splayed on the room hallway carpet, room telephones smelled like someone’s rear end, the list went on.
At the check in desk, the attendants were rude and disinterested. I asked what room options were available for what I’d booked and if there were any upgrades - I was curtly told no & sent to the room they clearly reserve as last - a second story room right by check in (NOISY) staring at the top of the metal parking cover. I called & asked again if there was anything else available (hence noticing smelly phone), & was told that there were actually several rooms available (how is that possible since I’d just asked at the front desk no less than 10 minutes prior??). I was told to bring my luggage back to the desk.
I had my luggage on a cart & a wrap on my hand from recent stitches - Not a single person who worked there offered to help at any point - the front desk or in the hallways - even though several saw me struggling. I had to ask for help from other actual customers who were much nicer to me & held open doors, even at the front entrance right by the desks (really).
They then moved me to a first floor room, with a sliding door to the woods that didn’t lock - talk about UNSAFE. I called to say I felt unsafe with this arrangement & was dismissed & then hung up on. The lock, even if it had worked, was way too flimsy to be considered safe.
While walking back with my luggage a third time, the parking attendant ran after me & actually yelled at me that I’d taken too long. I tried to explain to him that I was trying to get settled & had changed rooms due to an issue - He rudely said that it has been 30 minutes & it’s a 15 minute parking zone then asked to take back the cart (which still had my luggage on it). He was straight up out of line rude. My car was the only one in the roundabout at this point. That was my last straw, so I took my keys back to the front desk and “checked out” less than 1 hour after arriving so that I could go stay somewhere else. The parking attendant chased me inside at this point as well demanding I move but nobody stepped in. I actually left in tears because it was such a bad experience.
I called the hotel desk after moving my car to ask for a refund & was told no. So I reported this to Hilton Customer Care - I was told today that the hotel manager again tried to close the case saying to corporate that they’d “addressed my concerns” which is a lie.
The only thing I’ve heard from this “manager” is a $500 receipt for my 1 hour stay, for a reservation I’d made that very day (so it’s not like I took up a room they could’ve booked elsewhere).
Really really really bad.

While staying at Woodland Resort, I accompanied my husband to a business conference at a stunning hotel. The property was impressive, and I particularly enjoyed the pool as the main source of entertainment. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food at the Spruce Cafe. The croissants tasted old and overpriced, and they didn't have any breakfast sandwiches to go. On the bright side, the barista Liz made a delicious cappuccino and provided excellent recommendation. The view from the Spruce cafe was definitely amazing! However, We decided to take Liz's recommendation, and we had a fantastic experience at the Harrison restaurant.where our server, Escovar, was incredibly pleasant. The restaurant had a wide range of options, and the food was fresh and delicious. I can't wait to bring my kids here next time.

Great place to take the family. The missing star is gorgeous the outrageous prices. Poolside beers are $12!!!

We chose to spend Father’s Day and our son’s 2nd birthday at this resort with hopes of a fun filled weekend. It did not deliver. Checking into the resort took over 30 minutes with 5 clerks. The line through the lobby on arrival was not acceptable.|As far as amenities, the pool was obviously the main attraction and that was a good time, not too crowded and good service from the poolside bar/restaurant. We rented a cabana and our server was kind and worked hard. Aside from the pool, not much else to do for the kids. We paid for smores and spent money at the “arcade”.|Our biggest let down however were the rooms and the cleanliness. We found trash under the beds and mouse poop in the rooms. The staff response was underwhelming. Do not spend your money to room with little friends like we ended up doing. We love the Woodlands but would not return here to this “resort”.||A little more on the rooms: |The rooms were filthy. The longer we stayed, the more we found. Initially it was previous customers items like toys wrapped in the curtains. But then we found trash under beds including: feathers (assumed from a previous party) used cotton swaps, and food trash. The icing on the cake was the mouse poop that we found on the final day. Needless to say we did not stay any longer. You would think the staff would be aware of areas things may hide in the room since thats their job. Looks like it was only half done IMO. Also, the pics are just from TWO of the 4 rooms we reserved. Trash was found in those too in a completely different building at the resort

The hotel property has nice views. Pool was nice too but can get crowded on Saturday as expected. Hotel staff were great. Rooms need a few updates - should have a table to eat in your room or to play cards etc . Also not having a microwave was an issue. I have not been to a resort hotel that doesn’t have a microwave at least in a common area for guest. Nice hotel but for the price I would like to see more amenities. Maybe add more things for older kids to do besides the pool. Back table restaurant on the property was yummy.

We had 7 rooms for 3 nights, we rented a cabana on the first day above the slide and 3 cabanas on the 2nd day. When I checked into my room I found food on the carpet and hairs on the restroom floor, digital check in was really nice though. Everything went great the first day at the pool and Cabana. The second day did not go so well, I took my wristband off to sleep, and forgot to put it back on when I headed to the pool. A few yards into the pool area I was accosted by a security guard, he pulled me aside and shouted at me “you don’t have a wristband! I have to detain you!” I replied, I forgot my wristband in my room, if you’d like to follow me I’ll go get it. He exclaimed “NO! I have to take you to security at the front office! He started talking on his walkie talkie saying he’s bringing me in. It was so upsetting that I packed my things and went home, I did not stay my last night. This is a nice resort close to Houston, It would have been a place my family would have frequented if not for this incident.

I was really looking forward to a relaxing weekend getaway with my husband and kids however that did not happen. We had a poolside room that was great as we could access the room easily from the pool. We really enjoyed being able to walk to our room and eat a snack outside the balcony. The pools were big and the environment was kid friendly. We did have trouble funding a place to put our towels Saturday but we went to the pool a bit late and expected it. They had a foam party fir the kids and my kids enjoyed it. The room was clean, beds were comfortable. The breakfast package was not accurate. We bought the complimentary breakfast for the two days. We ate from the buffet both days. One day they charged us $115 and the next day $95 mind you it was 2 adults and my 11yr old my daughter was supposed to be free because she's 4. Both days we ate the same food. Apparently they pay upto a certain amount only. That's wild the breakfast wasn't even good. Everything was bland. The next part is the reason I'd would consider not returning to this location. The first night the room next door has a whole party until 6 am, screaming, laughing we could hear every word. We didn’t get any sleep. The second night at midnight the couple next door were having a heated argument he was cursing, doors were blaming my 11yr old was scared. My anxiety was through the roof. Security came at like 1am but they continued to argue and yell until almost 3am. We did not get any rest,I left more stressed than I arrived. As Hilton honors members this was a waste of my money and time.

Not worth the $400/night. Room wasn't ready past check in time. No changing rooms, we had to change in a dirty public bathroom by the pool. Full of rowdy groups, people in next door room had a spring breaker type party past midnight. Tired of it, I got out of my room to go inform the front desk, I see paramedics taking someone away on a stretcher. What kind of $400/night resort is this? Needless to say, not recommending. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

We were looking forward to getting away for a few days with our toddler and infant, along with grandparents. The rooms were not well cleaned before we arrived. One room had crumbs on the side table, another room had a sticker from a shoe on the nightstand, and elastic hair ties on the bathroom counter. The room never felt as cool as the thermostat said. The toilet was not securely attached to the floor. However, our room was very spacious, and we had plenty of room for our stroller and Guava Lotus Crib.
The dining situation was the most disappointing and NOT family-friendly at all. There was a market that had a menu published online that included hot breakfast food, but in fact, they only did coffees and cold sandwiches in a case. The pool restaurant didn't open til 11a, so the only option was room service or a $30 buffet for breakdast. For lunch, we usually ordered from the pool staff, but they only came by every 30-45minutes. The portions at the pool were a generous size and could easily split 1 entree between 2 adults. For dinner, we were hoping not to leave the property, but the only spot open wasn't very kid friendly and service was slow. We ended up ordering in food for dinner the other nights, and there was only 1 table in the lobby to sit at.
We would consider returning in the future, but would want a suite instead so we could eat in our room, and hopefully, the fridge is bigger than a postage stamp.

The potential vs reality. We stayed here 3 nights with our son hoping it would be an awesome vacation with water slides, golf, and fun. Unfortunately between the cigarette smoking, the pool area smelling like Marijuana every day, the food and trash strung out around the pool area, and the mildew smell of the room it has made me rethink ever staying at a Hilton again. Beware!

Had a wonderful long weekend here. Wish they had a coffee shop/pastry shop closer to the hotel, but the restaurants were delicious.
We did not have our kid with us, and I think that in the future if we did go back it would need to be a family thing. The swimming area doesn't have an adults only section, so to get the best bang for you buck you need to have the whole family there. Also arcade was a bit smaller than I was expecting.
