Urban Hotel is the perfect place to stay in Ljubljana. It’s located minutes from the center and the bus station and easy 10 minute walk. My room was spacious and modern. Free breakfast is varied and high quality and free coffee, tea and snacks all day. There’s a free washing machine and dryer with detergent too. The staff is friendly and excellent. I stayed here twice in between a short trip to Lake Bled. Slovenia is an outstanding and noticeably lower cost destination, I highly recommend visiting.

This is a great place. It's beautiful. Everything is clean, tidy, modern, and the smell in the rooms is a nice touch. The people, wow, awesome.

There’s no shared riding (Uber or similar) in Slovenia so I arranged with the hotel for airport transfer (50 euros). After I learned there are buses to/from airport to the bus station downtown (7 min walk from hotel) for 3.70 euros! |Check in was easy. Hotel is centrally located in a quiet area. Room was actually a small apartment with a kitchenette that included a fridge. Small bathroom, no shampoo or conditioner, just a bottle of soap that did triple duty. Towels were very thin and rough. Good size bedroom with safe and slippers available. Bed was comfortable and windows opened. TV had many foreign channels. Very quiet. Breakfast was better than I expected, they cook eggs to order. Coffee and cookies available all day in dining area for free. Worth it for the price, cleanliness and location.

Our only regret was that we only stayed one night! This is a beautiful city, and this is the ideal place to stay for exploring it! It's just a few steps from the center of town, making it easy to get to all of the sights, restaurants and cafes. The staff was very helpful, and the breakfast was great. There is even an elevator (not that common in the smaller hotels), so we didn't have to try to lug our suitcases up the stairs!
