Really good. Great breakfast!! Nice staff - super location. No parking. There is a public parking space an 8 minutes walk away from the hotel

Our stay at Vander Hotel was very disappoint. We booked the best category of room available. The hotel is dirty. Gives us a feel of a cheap motel. The bathroom towels were of very poor quality. The staff not very attentive. The only good thing about the hotel is the location. The breakfast was ok. I would not return, and I do not recommend this hotel.

Wir haben eine Nacht im Vander verbracht. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und sehr sauber. Das Ambiente des gesamten Hotels ist sehr angenehm. Den Nachmittag kann man prima am kleinen Pool auf dem Dach verbringen. Die Lage mitten in der Stadt ist nicht zu übertreffen. Die Frühstückskarte ist etwas unübersichtlich, aber es gibt alles was das Herz begehrt und uns hat das mehr Spaß gemacht als die üblichen Buffets. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Although in a great location, our stay at Vander Urbani was a disaster. Our shower was unusable because it didn't drain and would flood the room if left on for more than a minute. We were given a key to another room to use the shower on a different floor, and then when it was occupied were told to use the rooftop pool shower. We were told it had been fixed, but it wasn't and the staff refused to come up and look at it. Our shower also had no light in it so couldn't use it after dark. I was told this was the "design" of the hotel. Also, whenever we turned on the sink faucet, water poured out from under the sink. Although they provided an after hours number to call for emergencies, no one ever answered between the hours of 9:00pm and 7:00am. I was promised by the front reception manager that I would not be charged the full balance for the $300/night room until the general manager and I had worked out a fair discount for the inconvenience. Never heard back from him, and they charged the full amount. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

This hotel has a great location and is very clean, comfortable and quiet. It’s ideal for a short trip to lovely Ljubljana. The breakfast was nice and the breakfast waiting staff were very good. The other staff - bar and reception - were grumpy which is why I have given it a 3. One of our party did not like the see through loo in the room and her complaint was dismissed making her feel that she was in the wrong. The staff did attempt a fix which was appreciated.

We stayed for two nights at the end of the summer. The (included) breakfast was lovely, the room fab, the roof pool wonderful and service excellent. Alun on reception was particularly helpful and extremely patient with our endless questions. Highly recommended and excellent value.

There is no convenient way of parking and the hotel did not offer any sort of valet parking option. The hotel suggests a 30€/day parking garage of a supermarket about a 10min walk away. We booked the most expensive room on offer, a junior suite. However, on arrival, it is by any standard a normal hotel room, not a suite. The room smelled strongly like a construction site, dusty, wet and like cement. It is high summer and the rooms windows were open whilst the (rumbling loud) aircon was on high blast when we first entered. The hotel is well aware of the rooms unpleasant smell. The shower smelled like drain. The suite has no separate bathroom, just a shower cabinet, a toilet cabinet and a tiny vanity on a windowsil more reminiscent of what you would find in a camping mobile. Turning it on revealed that its drain wasn't tight at all and a stream of water came running down on the bathroom floor (see attached video). Yes we're still in the "suite" here. There was no coat hangers on the coat rack, which was the least of our concerns. The room was not properly kept. Stains all over the carpets and furniture. We complained about the smell and overall state of the room and were told that stains and the uncleanliness must have been from the guest before us. Period. There is no service here. There was no intention by the hotel to fix anything. We would have been somewhat content with a scented candle at that point. Interior design taste may be subjective but the overall style, while it is located in the old city is some sort of 90s industrial modern look. The carpets are badly cut, there is spots of adhesive here and there and the furnishing is overall described best as trashy in style and finish. There is 0 decorations whilst there is nieches for it in the room and on the hallways. On the hallway right next to our room, there is a half concrete blocked fire door which is either peak industrial interior design or comically out of place and trashy for a hotel offering 300€+ rooms. I am appalled by the hotel itself and the service and wouldn't not recommend anyone staying here. Something is obviously very much off.

Die Lage ist das einzig gute am Hotel. Parken ist 10 Minuten entfernt möglich. Hotel nur zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Zimmer ist fürchterlich. Es reicht nach Baustelle und moderig. Wir hatten eine Suit für über 300€/ Nacht, die ihren Namen bei weitem nicht ansatzweise verdient hat. Der Tisch war dreckig mit eingefärbten Tassenflecken. Alles sieht billig aus und schlecht renoviert. Auf dem Gang und überall sind deutliche Flecken zu sehen. Die Rezeption hat auf die unmittelbare Beschwerde gelangweilt reagiert und verwiesen, dass es keine anderen freie Zimmer gibt.

Sind sehr freundlich empfangen worden, Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, Frühstück aus der Karte wird an den Tisch gebracht da es nicht immer für jeden passt, würde ich dem Besitzer ein Frühstücksbufett empfehlen

Great location. Oh so quiet-no street noise whatsoever. Restaurants and shops literally on the doorstep. |Fabulous fresh breakfast. Lovely staff. Nice touch presenting us with a pass for a welcome drink. |Roof top pool a welcome oasis. Small but worth it when it can be hot in the city. Great view of castle from here too.

Because I booked a car service recommended by the hotel for the airport, I was able to leverage the front desk when I left my phone in the car. Phone was delivered in time to catch an int'l flight. What else can I say....||Great breakfast, location and staff! Thx!!

My girlfriends and I had a fantastic stay at the Vander hotel in Ljubljana. Alen and Tadej, who work at the front desk, were very kind, helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. They were friendly and recommended lots of wonderful places for us to visit and great restaurants to eat at. Thanks to them we had a wonderful time as the Vander hotel and in Ljubljana and we will definitely be back.

Great location with a corner room overlooking the river. Fantastic and helpful staff, particularly in reception and a very good breakfast. The rooftop pool was a great cool down after a hot day but it is quite small and very busy! Be aware of people who put their towels out at 9am and claim the chairs but don't actually use them until the afternoon! Guess where they come from.

We stayed for 2 nights in the Vander hotel and it was exactly what we needed to be able to enjoy Ljubljana. ||The rooms were functional, with good beds and a TV. |The Location was exceptional and never a 10 minute walk away from any of the major attractions.|Breakfast was amazing, with pastries, bread, fruit etc. and a choice of dishes to order like bacon, eggs, crepes and avocado toast.|The Rooftop pool is very small but refreshing after a long, hot day and there are plenty of sun loungers to relax on as well.|Minor cons - service from staff was variable throughout our stay, €20 deposit fee for umbrellas, which we felt was unnecessary.||Overall, a great hotel and a great city!

Fantastic stay in the heart of the city! Everything close enough to walk to, beautiful views, funky hotel, spacious rooms and excellent restaurant! The staff were amazing and so helpful - highly recommend it!

De kamer die wij hadden was dringend aan renovatie toe, lawaaierige airco, het raam isoleert de straatgeluiden onvoldoende. Er was weinig tot geen opbergruimte. De badkamer was proper maar ook hier zou een opfrisbeurt welgekomen zijn. Het hotel straalt vergane glorie uit. Het zwembadje op het dak biedt een mooi zicht. Het ontbijt was verzorgd met ruime porties. Het personeel was ook correct en vriendelijk.
