Definitely and by far one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is amazing. Special thanks to concierge Gregor who sent us to an exceptional steakhouse. Will be back soon !!!

And, just the best espresso, wine, breakfast, snack, dinner, and turndown service in any city, anywhere in the world. We had an amazing breakfasts/dinner at Zlata Ladjica. ||We love Ljubljana! Recently stayed at Zlata Ladjica (Aug 2024)- This place is awesome. The personal attention they give is second to none, from check in to breakfast to check out. They leave no detail out. The location is awesome, right in front of the Cobbler's Bridge. While there was significant hustle and bustle outside the room, there was no noise in the room itself. Many personal touches that made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Room itself is spacious and perfect. Only reason for 4 starts on room itself was the AC, set to 17 deg C and was on the entire 3 days, but room never got below 23- pretty warm for us. They were very accommodating and got us a fan ("ventilator") which helped but still had some trouble sleeping. Staff was attentive and checked the AC and said nothing wrong, but clearly there was. This happened in nearly every hotel we satyed at throughout Slovenia and Croatia. Definitely include Zlata Ladjica for your stay in Ljubljana- you won't regret it!

Luxury here doesn’t mean price. Luxury is in the warm welcome, the history story told at check-in with a delicious and refreshing beverage in hand. Luxury is the room with NICE furnishings, modern touches and little experiences landing in your room to drink or snack on throughout the day. Luxury is DESIRING to eat in the hotel and then being blown away by the cuisine. And the Slovenian wines. This is top 3 hotel experiences in my well-traveled life. Thank you for this experience in Ljubljana, dear Golden Boat team. You are all excellent hosts.

The Zlata Ladjica Boutique Hotel was one of the most delightful hotel experiences that I’ve had in a long time. We had just come from a very high end, very fancy hotel brand known for their service in Venice and the ZL team had them beat in every way possible (at a fraction of the price!) Starting with the porters meeting us at our car transfer to carry all of our luggage (it was embarrassingly heavy!) to the warmth that emanated from the check in team to the personal tour of our rooms and all the features that were included in the rooms, it was one just one fabulous interaction after another. ||The property itself is also stunning. The thought and care in the renovations are evident and the beds are incredibly comfortable and the AC is strong (no small feat in Europe!!) The location is truly the best in Ljubljana and the breakfast was a feast for the senses. The presentation and description of each option in the breakfast menu made it feel like we were dining in a Michelin starred location. ||We immediately fell in love with Ljubljana and began planning our return trip before we even checked out. My only regret is that we stayed just one night but we will certainly be back and will only stay at Zlata Ladjica.

We spent two nights at the Zlata Ladjica Boutique Hotel in Ljubjana. We with we could have stayed longer. The hotel staff delighted us when we arrived, when we left, and at every turn during our stay. We wouldn't typically eat at a hotel restaurant, but again, wow! It was another great experience. We'd highly recommend both. We stayed on the third floor, and our room had a balcony overlooking the river and old town. Spectacular!

Where to begin...my wife and I stayed for three nights in July 2024, we had a room with a view of the river and the castle and our lovely balcony overlooked the outdoor patio and dining area. We loved everything about this hotel. The location cannot be beat, it is on the river and the outdoor space, the river "stroll" is right outside the door. We were met by Daniel who guided us to our parking space and brought us to the hotel (they make parking very easy), and immediately checked into our room even though it was only 11am. Our room was nicely appointed, the views were amazing, the balcony is such a great touch for coffee or just watching the people stroll along the river, and the bathroom is large and really well done. We had a couples massage that afternoon to help get over the long travel, and the spa area and massage were great. We had dinner the first night in the hotel restaurant, and can't say enough about the experience. Our server Nejc really made the experience, he was funny, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations. He really took care of us, making a special non-alcoholic cocktail for me. The food was outstanding...we ate at a Michelin star restaurant in Ljubljana during the trip and the Zlata Ladjica restaurant was just as good (and the smoked trout dumpling was the best bite we had on our vacation). The outdoor patio for bar/lounge/dining is perfect. There was a guy that plays guitar and sings on Thursday night, and there were people from the street standing outside listening and dancing, it was just a really fun atmosphere. There is an incredible breakfast that comes with the restaurant--we ate so much that we skipped lunch every day. They focus on local, sustainable ingredients and the quality is outstanding. We really enjoyed the local honey, jams, smoked trout, and if you go order the yogurt--it comes with a dizzying array of local toppings--seeds, nuts, honey, fruit. ||Beyond the location, excellent restaurant, and beautiful rooms, the service here is what stands out. Every time we stepped off the elevator or came down the stairs someone was there to ask if we needed anything or to guide us to our destination. There were little delicious treats left in our room every night. The people who work here are amazing....they felt like old friends. On the back end of our trip we stayed at Hotel Cubo for one night before going to the airport, and while lovely it is not close to this place. We cannot recommend this place more highly!

Amazing stay at this hotel. Perfect location right in the heart of downtown on the river. You can walk to everything. The city is so clean and fun too. |The staff goes above and beyond to help with anything. Everyone working was so friendly and welcoming. Rooms are clean and comfy and ours had wonderful views. The breakfast is hearty and good, keeping us full until dinner. |We highly recommend this hotel.

This is a wonderful hotel, with beautiful rooms and an excellent location, but what makes it spectacular is the staff. Truly, it's the most welcoming, helpful, caring, and funny staff that I've ever met. Robert, Tjasa, Tadej, Nejc, and Jerry (sorry, Jerry, I couldn't remember how to spell your name) were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond at every opportunity, and made our stay in Ljubljana one that we'll never forget. We hope we can come visit again. Our biggest thank you! Oh, and Gibanica is the best! ;)

An absolutely exceptional stay in a beautiful, high end boutique hotel in lovely Ljubljana. The hotel is in a heritage building which has been impeccably renovated in a high spec way. All the features are quality including automated coffee makers with real beans in the room! I stayed in the Cobbler’s room which was one of the smaller ones, but very well designed and comfortable. Glorious bed and great blackout curtains for jet lag. ||What really made it was the staff, who were low key, friendly, but extremely knowledgeable about Slovenia. Particular thanks to the female staff member at the front desk whose name I forget who was so kind to me and my one year old son, and incredibly helpful in organising a tour to Lake Bled for me including a petting zoo stopover for my baby. In addition the breakfast was absolutely delightful and showcased Slovenian produce. ||A perfect stay and look forward to returning!

Easily the best hotel of our two week trip to Croatia/Slovenia. The staff was exemplary even going so far at to run to a nearby restaurant to secure us a reservation. The room was beautiful and spacious, with a great mixture of old with up to date conveniences. Beautiful view of the castle and town square. Walking distance to the entire old town. Great dinner at Julija as well as the Friday night open kitchen. The hotel offered convenient snd reasonable valet parking and the staff made it very easy for us to navigate getting in and out of the city. Wonderful place. We will definitely visit again.

Most incredible stay! Everything about the hotel is perfect! The location is ideal along the river in the center of the old city. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, the food is outstanding, drinks delicious. The hotel is recently renovated, rooms are beautiful and have all the right amenities and are designed well. There are even bikes you can borrow! ||Highly recommend, must stay if you are going to the city!
