I took 2 courses with A.N.A. (so far, I intend on doing more): Basics of Sailing, and Advanced Sailing annd Navigation. Both were led by Damir Dijakovic, an extremely capable, kind and patient instructor. The Basics one was a bit more physically demanding, but extremely fun, and the ramp from 0 to a sailor is an incredible feeling. By the 3rd day, you'll already have a good grasp of tack, gybe, and different sailing positions, and you'll feel like a productive crew member. The Advanced one is a bit more demanding mentally, as it is packed with a variety of theoretical topics and practical exercises (navigation, charting, docking etc.). I look forward to deepening my knowledge of those through individual learning (e.g. getting comfortable charting a course), as well as with further practical programmes with A.N.A (e.g. sailing in stronger winds, and maneuvering the boat). I also have to give a shout out to Ira and Sonja who were very responsive to my many questions and receptive to my feedback. Everyone I met from the A.N.A. team was eager to help me get the most out of this experience, and I have no doubt they would do the same for you.

In June 2024, my wife and I took a docking and maneuvering course with Ante at A.N.A. Sailing School in Jezera, Croatia. The course exceeded all our expectations. Ante was an exceptional instructor, fluent in English and able to explain concepts clearly to both native and non-native speakers. He was personable and genuinely committed to ensuring we not only learned the maneuvers but also understood the underlying principles. The course covered various other elements of sailing, such as using a storm anchor and a Man Overboard (MOB) refresher, which complemented the main focus of the course of docking and maneuvering practice (alongside docking, stern-to docking, mooring buoy, anchoring, etc.). The training boat (36.7ft.) was comfortable for the four students on the course. We finished the course much more confident and capable of docking the boat with just the two of us. The booking process was smooth, and we received prompt answers to our questions, ensuring excellent communication throughout. Having taken several courses with A.N.A. in the past, we've always been impressed with their level of training and the quality of their instructors. I highly recommend A.N.A. as a training facility, the docking and maneuvering course, and especially Ante as an instructor.

Very lucky to find ANA sailing , since it is one of very few schools that offer high quality advanced boat and sail handling & maneuvering course , among rya training centers . I had a fast growing training week with Ante, the principal instructor and owner of the school . You rarely find an RYA school that explains very well and teach excellent in all aspects. I highly recommend those who would like to build confidence in sailing after CC , Day skipper course to come to ANA. Here you can find what you need . The boat and the coast near Ana is an excellent place to train yourself . Marina is of high standard .

"From zero to hero" with ANA. I started with no experience, then progressed through advanced courses, completed my skipper training and racked up miles with their program. I highly recommend ANA because of the exceptional support I received from the entire team - from the back office to the marina crew and instructors - it was top-notch.

We had a wonderful week sailing and learning together with Silvi our instructor. It was a dhock to the system having to learn so much so quickly but we were so glad Silvi pushed us to our potential in all weather conditions. It was the most intense day skipper course I've done but I learnt more than any other course I've done. Thank you Silvi for all the opportunities you gave us 🙏🏼

Absolutely amazing week’s sailing with ANA school. Superior knowledge and teaching from our instructor Silvi - always felt safe on board even in bad weather, she has everything under control. Went with a mixed group (competent crew and day skipper) and found the level perfect for us everyone. Alot if information and learning. Action packed week!

Just finished the RYA Day Skipper course with A.N.A and learned a huge amount. It’s no holiday, but the course is detailed, the instructor was great and we all had an awesome week of sailing.

Nice weather and great sailboats if you really love racing boats. Not many schools will offer you a benetau first racer instead of a standard cruiser.

Great school! I did RYA Day Skipper Practical Program. Silvi is a fantastic teacher with a lot of experience who treats each student individually. Practical and theoretical knowledge you get is much broader than what is given in the curriculum. During intense and exciting week I learned more than I could have imagined. Thank you to all of Ana's team, especially Silvi :)
