Authentic and delicious tacos! There is nothing like it in Ljubljana, for sure! Really nice and cozy little restaurant right in the centre with friendly staff. Highly recommend it, especially the fish tacos (mondays & fridays)!

The best tacos I've ever had, they were so good I went here twice(almost a third) on my stay in Ljubljana. I was born and raised in California and tacos are half my diet. I've been backpacking Europe for a few months now and was missing the wonderful Latino culture that we have back in California, I was homesick. While walking in Ljubljana I came across this place and decided to give it a try, and I'll be honest I didn't have high hopes, given the track record of "Mexican" food in Europe... Boy was I in for a surprise. We were seated by the friendly staff and then greeted by the owner Miguel, who is an absolutely wonderful person, and ordered the taco trio (Pastor, Suadero, Diablo). These were the best tacos I've ever had, the tacos were filled to the brim with meat that's been seasoned perfectly with authentic spices and flavors, and the Diablo lived up to it's name, I was sweating (Finally something spicy in Europe thank you Lord). The salsas were beautiful and delicious. Not only did they satisfy my desire for Latino food, they soared to the top of my list. I would say they were just like back home, but they were better 😜 Jefe, Mijo, Miguel is doing the Lord's work here 🙏 bless.

Delicious tacos and a superb atmosphere in the restaurant. Service is fast and the staff are friendly. The onely downside is that they don't have so many vegetarian options in the meny. But besides that it's a really good place that is family friendly and also good for just hanging out and eat tacos.

After quite some time we were finally able to go grab a couple of tacos at El Patron. Having noticed the place almost year ago we built up some high hopes for it and they have not disappointed us. The ingredients and choice are just about right, a daily/weekly taco and a handful of choices. In addition to tacos they have some in house made drinks and a few sides. All ingredients are fresh and well prepared. My carne asada, suador and al pastor have all had nicely balanced profiles. Well seasoned meat topped with contrasting fresh ingredients. The slice of lime finishes off the combo into delightful morsels. To complete the experience in this pocket size taqueria the staff creates a warm cosy environment with their welcoming and good spirited nature. Also they are celebrating their first year today! Best Mexican food I've had since I lived in San Francisco 30 years ago. Very nice owner who is passionate about his food and even has his beer made especially by a local brewery. You won't find better in Europe.

El Patron is a gem if interested in authentic Mexican tacos. Everything we has was delicious and the server very amenable. All in all, we had a wonderful time at this restaurant.
