The Vienna Art Nouveau Dragon Bridge was built in 1901, so it is very young and small, although at the time it was said to be the third largest arch bridge in Europe. In Ljubljana, many things are related to the dragon. Mythologically, the city derives its origins from the Greek story of Iason and the Argonauts, who, having acquired the golden fleece, also passed through what is now Slovenia, and it was here, somewhere, that they slayed the monster-dragon.
