Very nice sluice. However you can't do much there, not even cross it. Still worth a short visit.

The sluice gate is an interesting architectural piece of engineering. It was designed by Jože Plečnik who was instrumental in the beautification of Ljubljana as a whole.

Sehr schöne Schleusen, die den Wasserstand der Ljubljanica regulieren. Der Architekt ist Plecnik, der quasi die halbe Stadt designt hat. Lohnt einen Abstecher.

It's really nice view to Ljubljanica river. It's better to not approach the place by boat :) or if you came with it stop in front of the gate :) The height difference between the west and east sides is about 3-4 meters. First we thought, possible to go up to the top of the gate, but unfortunately not possible, it's locked. We understand why, it can be dangerous. You can sit down and relax a bit to bench, enjoy the lapping of the water or just take some good photo. It's nice place, we recommend it.
