Odlično preživet dan. Ob vhodu smo bili rahlo presenečeni nad številim obiskovalcev, ki ga nismo pričakovali. Pozitivno presenečenje pa smo doživeli, ko smo želeli kupit vstopnico, kjer nam je prijazno osebje povedalo, da je obisk muzeja vsako 1. nedeljo v mesecu brez vstopnine. Ta informacija nam je dala odgovor za večje število obiskovalcev od pričakovanega. Obisk smo načrtovali le za Prirodoslovni muzej Slovenije, vendar nas je tok ljudi zanesel še v Narodni muzej Slovenije. Priporočamo obisk obeh.

Odlicne muzejske zbirke, dobra postavitev in predstavitev muzejskih predmetov. Otrokom primerno razlozena in priblizana zgodovina.

The national museum was decent, but nothing more. As a history buff and archaeology student I found the displays here very useful and engaging. The museum was perfect for information on the prehistory of Slovenia, but not so good for those looking for information on their Yugoslav past. The Egyptian mummy display was great. I would even say that the format behind this was the most memorable part of the museum. Having said that, the flute was amazing, to gaze upon the oldest instrument currently known to man-kind was an invigorating experience.

Velika zbirka starih zgodovinskih predmetov. Najbolj posebni predmet je neardetalčeva piščal. Občasne zbirke so zmeraj zanimive.

Beautiful architecture, but it didn't have many exhibits and truth is that I wasn't so impressed with what I saw. If you really want to go I recommend going on the first Sunday of a month that the tickets are free (although ask because maybe that will change).

Pleasant staff, we were the only guests, nice and interesting exhibitions (especially for kids) but a bit small overall. You'll be done in an hour and a half for sure, but the price is great for the experience. Would recommend for a rainy day.

The stuff at the front desk was extremely friendly and amicable. But honestly speaking, the architecture of the museum is worth attention more than the items inside. I would discourage anyone to visit it UNLESS you are interested in Roman history and have good command of Latin. They have a lapidarium and many engraved tombstones there.
