Love, love, loved it! There was an exhibition of classical religious works on loan from Croatia which was worth checking out. I love museums like this because you get a cross section in Slovenian artists which aren’t as common in western galleries. I was super impressed by the impressionist and post impressionistic art. Overall, this was a quaint but lovely gallery

Well designed and gorgeous art museum in Ljubljana. The tickets for temporary and permanent exhibitions costs only 9 euro for students. There are toilets and also baggage storage cabinets. The temporary exhibition was fine but that many in quantities. However, the permanent exhibition was a huge thing here! They were displayed in a magnificent hall and include statutes and artworks. Especially, there is a room where you can sit and quietly watch the painting of a few cows with comfortable music, what an enjoyment! In the back side of the museum, where the cafe is, has a spacious location that is more modernized design and wow! Overall, recommend spending 1 to 2 hours here!

Nice and tidy art gallery. I liked especially exhibition of pieces of art of Zoran Mušič. I entered to the Museum using Ljubljana Card - unfortunately the card does not include entry to the temporary exhibition.

Time well spent in the Gallery and liked the arts and expositions in relation to the city of Ljubljana. All area are well sectioned on the map marking it easier for visitors to find their way around. I am giving 3 stars because: 1 when collected tickets from reception we were told to go and put our bags in the locker which we didn’t know how to do since there was several and no number for reference if it need to be given to someone or key for each locker. We put our stuff in the big locker which you can see below and have to take the key with us. That was not convenient as we wonder what happened if other customers needed space to put stuff too? No guidance or security in the bag area. 2 is that we didn’t enter any temporary exhibition or entered any special section where we weren’t allowed to enter without a special ticket as the ticket we have got covered what is listed but staff felt the needs to ask us about our ticket again without explanation. They weren’t able to explain why but my answer is that they are lacking a system to know who is entering the gallery and where they can go freely without having to post staff at each door harassing visitors

Stunning artwork, well displayed and set out. It was really good to have an artistic insight into Slovenian history. Enjoyed the QR codes next to some of the artworks, readable and listening options. The staff were very welcoming.

Some nice paintings. Not the best national gallery, but I recommend. It's slovene made and you can make the tour in about 2h. It is pretty nice !

Vsak Slovenec bi moral vsaj 1x na leto obiskati kak muzej. Narodna galerija je polna umetnin, znanih in manj znanih. Super je tudi razstava Zajčevih kipov.
