Mooi groot museum. Mooie collectie. Bijzonder was wel dat we na 1,5 uur het museum uit werden gestuurd vanwege de vele lekkages (het regende al een tijd behoorlijk) en de het risico van kortsluiting.

Good gallery. The permanent collections are great. However, some paintings were not illuminated well and you could not see them in detail or they were reflecting the light. And the room temperature was too cold because of the AC.

amazing pieces but you need a bunch of time if you want to see all the exhibitions (around 2 hours total). i would recommend if you have the mental capacity to invest into the artwork for that long. it had paintings and sculptures from renaissance up until the 60s-70s (and some modern pieces as well), a whole art experience in my opinion.

The gallery was nice but very small, they had a few rooms dedicated to medieval to 18th century art and two short time exhibitions. There are only a few places to sit down and enjoy the art. I also thought it was super cold, definitely bring a sweater or cardigan. Don't forget to bring only a small bag, big bags gave to be left in a small locker.

Muy buen museo, tanto en la forma como en el fondo. Buena selección de piezas de toda la historia del arte esloveno.

La galleria è la collezione d’arte più importante del Paese ed occupa due piani (ed un’ala più moderna) di un pregevole palazzo di fine XIX secolo (1896). Sono esposti: i bei bronzi di Alojz Gangl e Franc Berneker, all’ingresso la fontana originale di Francesco Robba, un tempo in Mestni Trg; affreschi medievali (anche copie); belle statue gotiche, una notevole (copia, 1959) di Vladimir Makuc della celebre Danza Macabra, affresco (1490) della Chiesa della Santissima Trinità di Hrastovlje; notevoli opere di pittori impressionisti sloveni come Subic (Prima della caccia), Jakopic (Betulle in autunno), del divisionista Grohar (Larice) e della più famosa pittrice slovena, Ivana Koblica (Estate). Un museo molto interessante di autori certamente meno noti di altri nel panorama europeo ed internazionale, ma meritevoli di essere scoperti.
