We were so far twice in the tunnels, once during a wine festival and once as part of a guided tour. For the wine festival we were left on our own to find the entrance and walk through the tunnels, which was a great event. For the guided tour, the guide met us at the tourist office. We were a mixed group and the guide explained in English and Slovenian. The tour was very informative and interesting. I would recommend both occasions that we were in the tunnels!

S prijateljico sva se želeli udeležiti Helloween dogodka. Ker v objavi dogodka ni jasno prikazan vhod v rove, sva se zgubljalji in posledično zamudili nekaj minut. Vhod na dogodek je bil slabo osvetljen in ob nočni uri (termin dogodka ob 23h) sva ga komaj našli. Pred vhodom je stala oseba, ki naju je s cigaretom v ustih, brez osnovnega bontona pozdravila z besedami: "Konec je." In odkorakala iz lokacije. Ker me je vse skupaj presenetilo, sem zakorakala za njo in začela spraševati, kako je konec dogodka, če naj bi se dogodek šele začel in imajo razpisan termin za ob tako pozni uri in zakaj se ne moreva udeležiti dogodka, če sva kupili karti. Nepovezano z mojimi vprašanji mi je zaposlena začela razlagati svoje osebno mnenje in občutke o neuspešnosti dogodka in obiskovalcih. Ker nisem bila razpoložena za nadrkavanje, zakaj se dogodka ne moreva udeležiti, sva odšli. Sledečega načina obnašanja zaposlenih, kot aktivna kulturna konzumentka in soustvarjalka mnogih dogodkov, še nisem doživela. Kot obiskovalca, me osebni spori znotraj ekipe popolnoma nič ne zanimajo. Ker je sledeči turizem očitno usmerjen samo lokalno, svetujem, da raje izkoristite 15€ vstopnine na osebo, s pogostitvijo v kranjskem Valterju.

We had a very nice local guide that spoke English very well. The tour is very informative. I would not recommend it for young children. Very interesting. Be advised that if the tour is bilingual it takes much longer, as there is much more talking than walking. Best book in advance.

They said the tour was in English... but it wasn't. This was especially annoying as we asked twice when we bought the tickets if the tour was in English. The 20 or so international tourists who, unsurpringsly, never got the chance to learn Slovenian at school, were left to trundle through a dark tunnel, which, without the accompanying information, was simply that: a dark tunnel. Conveniently for their office, they close 5 minutes before the tour finishes, so any complaints find their way into a brick wall.

BIG JOKE ! Visitor center says "Guided tour"; it's more a reading tour or I will say just a walking tour in tunnels... If you don't speak slovenian, don't come! The tour lasted 1hour and was useless ! The guide just spoke slovenian with the 4 slovenian people that were in the group. The other 9 people just followed as the guide didn't speak english and couldn't care less about us... We never even saw the famous tunnel that splits into 2 ! And of course, the visitor center was closed when we came back! Anyway waste of time and money !
