Absolutely loved it here. The clerk was also very nice, answered all my questions. The translations on the signs were a bit off though (in both German and English), but that didn't really matter much. I was in a rush anyway, so I didn't get to read many of them.. unfortunately. One thing the museum could improve is the "finding-the-entrance part. Had a hard time finding out where to even enter. Albeit there was construction works right nearby, so that's forgiven, (assuming that , of course, this isn't normal) Would recommend to, well, anyone really.

Small but cute, many old locomotives in a big garage with informative signs and another room of railway management devices, telecommunications systems, employees costumes and other objects. +pretty, old fashioned ticket

Cute place with some random abanded buildings. The exhibition is nice, the museum has a good collection of locomotives from the Austrio-Hungarian Empire.

A hidden gem! The tickets are very cheap and you get to explore a lot of interesting stuff! You also get to go at your own pace completely, as it’s not crowded at all. The staff is very friendly, and English translations are available. A big recommendation!

This was one of the many attractions we visited using the city card, so worth the walk to the old shunting station, it would have to be one of the best train museums we have ever been to, (and I have been to a few), due to the time of year we had the place all to our selves, it was fun seeing these massive machines and reading the history, we spent easily two hours cruising around, we also loved the running model train set.

Da appasionato di treni prima di partire per il mio viaggio in Slovenia ho cercato eventuali musei o attrazioni dove erano presenti i treni. Ho trovato questo museo e devo dire che ne sono rimasto molto soddisfatto. Arrivati al museo trovate il parcheggio (a pagamento, come in tutti i posti della slovenia) poi andate dritti alla rimessa locomotive circolare e nella prima porta sulla sinistra c'è l'ufficio che vi rilascia il biglietto (8€ a testa). Dentro troverete molte vaporiere esposte, le spiegazioni alle locomotive però non sono in Italiano ma solamente in Sloveno, Tedesco ed Inglese.

Zelo zanimiv in z eksponati bogat muzej, obvezen obisk za vse ljubitelje tehnike in železnic ter družin z otroci. Bi si pa muzej zaslužil malo več finančne spodbude Slovenskih železnic in države, da vse skupaj ne pripade. Muzej ima še ogromno potenciala.
