Very disappointed. We visited on the first Sunday of the month which is usually free entrance day - but not in this museum. The signs in first part were missing on the more than half exhibits - they were collected on the table at the side - mixed with no order. Also the museum is really outdated in case of presentation. It seems like from the 50's... Using a typing machine. Kids unfriendly collection - they can only experience one locomotive - to enter it. The surrounding looks like wild wild west in its worst days. And cash only! In my opinion you have far more better activities in the city than to spend time and money at this museum.

Well worth a visit, the museum is about a 15 minute walk from the station. Entry is very reasonably priced and the site is quite large. The exhibits are all steam and there doesn't appear to have been anything from the post steam era preserved or at least exhibited which is a great pity as there will potentially be nothing of the countries more modern era for future generations. Staff were helpful and very friendly.

È stata una splendida sorpresa in una città già molto interessante, la ciliegina sulla torta. Molto bello e ricco di rotabili e materiale, con ampia area esterna visitabile con ulteriori rotabili e ferrovia da 5" funzionante nel fine settimana. Prezzo molto modico. Consigliato, da vedere. Nel fine settimana personale che spiega e mostra il funzionamento di molti strumenti. Parcheggio pubblico adiacente a pagamento, ma non caro.

Schön großer Lokschuppen mit vielen seltenen Lokomotiven, eine tolle Ausstellung Stellwerke, dazu eine kleine Gartenbahn mit echten Dampflokomotiven, gefällt mir

Extraordinary exhibition! Huge locomotives on display! You may enter a couple of vehicles. Old gadgets, phones, ramps, clocks, offices, uniforms, tickets, passes, communication equipment. An art gallery upstairs, too. Do not be discouraged by the look of the entrance or the yard. Inside is amasing! Take your kids, and your grandparents, too! Also amenities are nice & clean.
