I can't believe that I haven't written a review for Apartmaji Boltez before! The apartments were my second home for over 8 years! The accomodation is spotless, well equipped - especially if one seeks to self-cater, shower/bathrooms all fabulous. A variety of guest rooms with different sizes and aspects. The ONLY thing I can think of that may be difficult for some travellers, is there is no lift (elevator). And if several flights of stairs are a problem then specifify a low level room or don't go! Otherwise it's a perfect place to stay for one, or multiple nights. I could have stayed in many other local places, both B&B through to full service hotels with more facilities like restaurant or bar, I was on buisiness, our headquarters close by, so budget wasn't an issue really. However the friendly welcome and care of the owner, the quality of accommodation, comfortable beds, excellent breakfasts, was more than enough to to feel at home. Heck, it was better than home! :-) There are restaurants within a 3-4 minute walk; the centre of Kranj is about 10 minutes. A small sports bar is next door and a lively and great Irish Pub is just 3 minutes walk away also. Smalll convenience store opposite and a supermarket very close. Two years after retirement and I find myself yearning to be back there for a stay, regularly. I stayed at least a week per month on average and it was like coming home every time. Several colleagues had the same feelings and became regulars. I thoroughly recommend Boltez!

We booked the studio room two months before we checked in.. my gf speaks slovene and booked the room. When we checked in we were told the hotel was under construction... We were told we get a discount or we could leave the hotel.. the owner said "i diddent told cause i was afraid you wouldent find any other acondimation anymore" when we booked it far before we came. We like to sleep out but were told by the owner we need to be out before 9 am ...so they could clean it.... And that it was normal that WE COULDENT BE IN ALL DAY..and that alll hotels have this.. She was rude and looked down on os ...two people in our eatly 20ths... And told os we need to keep the room cleaner then we did ...or we would need to pay a extra cleaning fee.. The kitchen in our studio diddent suck out the smoke from cooking ....and the smoke alarm went off because of this.. After the Owner gave us a speetch on how to cook normaly...etc ... We were too afraid to keep using the kitchen.. her words to my gf were "do you know how to cook ?" The noise from the construction kept us awake and the hotel was coverd in plastic... The hotel looked nice. And the room was good....besides the kitchen..
