This 360 degree video of 25.000 km2 large area from Rašica hill was taken in September 2024. It's an area larger than Slovenia!

Rašica hill from Nove Jarše or better yet Šmartno area. With a bicycle you follow the asphalt main road then turn left onto the dirt road all the way to the second bridge 5 km away. You cross the bridge and go left until you hit Rašica sign 4 km away. With my finger I point to the highest building in Slovenia. It's 7th September 2024.

The Rašica hill (you read it like 'RASHIZA') with its 641 meters of height (Ljubljana is at 295 meters) is a little bit lower than the 'next door' Mount Saint Mary or better yet Šmarna gora hill (669 meters - distinctive because of its church Cerkev Rožnovenske Matere Božje) but it has a FAR better view. In the photos that I have provided (winter season view) you can see just 180 degrees, basically just the mountains which are the last part of the Alps or better yet last part of the long Alp chain. From Rašica you can see 90 km into distance or an area of 25.000 km2 (which is 5.000 more than entire country). If it wasn't for hills, you would see the Adriatic sea! The view from Rašica provides so much that it would be hard to describe everything. The photos are from early 2000's. One of them shows the highest mountain of not just Slovenia but former Yugoslavia as well - Triglav, 2864 meters. From Triglav you can see all the way to Venice or better yet 190 km into distance and it's the third highest peak of the Balkan peninsula.
