I booked a 4D3N self guided hiking tour with Slotrips, and it was the most amazing experience. Despite being first time mountain hikers, we had no problem following the guide Domen put together for us. We were tired after each day’s hike but the views are so worth it, and Domen also booked the best accommodations for us every night where we could get delicious food and a good rest. On our last day, we had to change our plans due to unforeseen circumstances - Domen was super responsive and made the necessary arrangements for us within minutes. So even though it was a self guided tour, we felt very safe knowing that we can get support any time. This is actually the second time I have engaged Slotrips for a trip - and it will certainly not be my last. Slovenia is beyond beautiful, and Slotrips is the best partner to help us discover this country. Many thanks to Domen and team for always doing such a good job! You succeeded in making us fall in love with your country ;)

Domen from Slotrips arranged our 4 day hike to Triglav, and we enjoyed every step of the way! As a group of 5 friends we were quite late to book our huts, and actually the regular routes were all fully booked. But Domen put in a lot of effort to make it work. Everything was very well arranged and I'd definitely recommend to use their services.

Vineyards, Mountains, Caves and great food in beautiful Slovenia Review of Slotrips Pending review In summary Slovenia is absolutely beautiful, the countryside and people are just amazingly friendly; you can't help but have a good time. Oh and the food and wine is just sublime. I can also thoroughly recommend SloTrips for the support we received on our walk, and also mapping a good route to follow! We booked a Slovenian trip with a local group in Melbourne who use SloTrips as their Slovenian Reps. We did A taste of Slovenia walk. Starting with some of our own time at Bled before commencing our SloTrips walk essentially walking from Mt Nanos to Piran. We met our coordinator, Katja, in Bled for a coffee and she briefed us on our walks and gave us our luggage tags, maps (+Map Apps) and made sure we were all sorted for the walk. She also told us to contact her if there were any problems. Well on the 1st day I had a bit of a tumble on Mt Nanos near Razdrto, after missing a trail marker and heading the wrong way up a steep slippery slope. Totally my problem, anyway i had a bit of a gash under my knee and by the time we back-tracked and got back on the right trail, we were almost 2-hours behind, so we contacted Katja to let her know that we might be late at the accommodation and for them not to worry. Katja swung into action, booked us a restaurant that night and arranged with our accommodation to pick us up 5km from our end point so we wouldn't be too late for dinner. She also checked in with me periodically to make sure my knee was OK and holding up. When we got rained out by a Thunderstorm on another day she was also able to co-ordinate an alternative with us to the walk that was planned. This flexibility and support that we got from SloTrips is a reason why I would unreservedly recommend them to anyone walking in Slovenia. The places where we stayed were excellent as well, especially Hotel St Daniel outside of Stanjel.

We recently returned from a SloTrips guided three day hike on the Alpe-Adria Trail in northwestern Slovenia. I purposely searched for a local company with which to book, and felt that SloTrips was just the passionate company I was interested in booking with. This hike far exceeded everything that we were expecting. Not only was it the highlight of our trip to Europe, it will go down as one of our best experiences. We had the most fabulous guide who went out of her way for us to have such an experience. Bojana Mismas ....... thank you again, Bojana for the experience. She is full of local knowledge and Slovenian history , and has a perfect passionate way with guiding strangers thru her loved country. The hike itself was labeled as moderate...I , not being from an altitude hiking nation, would say moderate + . But we enjoyed every step of the way thru ever-changing vistas, beautiful mountains, and gorgeous river valleys. Accomodations in mountain "huts" was less rustic than we had expected and suited us just fine. As was the food. We met warm Slovenians along the way and will share our experiences with whomever is considering a trip to Slovenia. Because of Bojana's hiking experience and well suited personality, we had the experience of a lifetime.

Just finished the 4 day Alpe Adria Trail Multiactive Adventure. It was a well organized self guided trip with all the details arranged for us. It exceeded our already high expectations and was the perfect combination, using e-bikes on day 3 when our calves were a bit sore. Can’t recommend Slotrips enough. Already looking into next adventure with them

My husband and I did an 8-day trip through Butterfield & Robinson, and it was partly hosted by Slotrips. BOTH companies were amazing. We stayed in small boutique hotels and ate wonderful meals. During the day, we hiked in the Julian Alps and rode e-bikes using the app in wine country and through Italy and Slovenia and Croatia. Our guides and drivers were all top-notch. I highly recommend this tour company for Slovenia and highly recommend B&R for anywhere in the world.

Katja with Slotrips tailored an itinerary that met all our senses. Starting in beautiful Ljubljana, hiking hut to hut in the Julian Alps, arranging transport from town to town and staying at some first rate hotels including a special treat on our 25th Anniversary, we came away loving the people of Slovenia and their beautiful country. I highly recommend Slotrips if you are planning to hike in the Julian Alps and want the comfort of knowing that everything will be perfectly planned and organised for you, and your trip will be stress free. We, two adults and two teens (15 and 18) did a self guided 4 day / 3 night hike organised by Katya, and everything was absolutely fabulous. We are not new to hiking and have hiked all around the world, but this was the first time we have someone else do the planning and organising for us and I can say I like it very much. Everyone at Slotrips is super organised, efficient, always reply promptly and are able to answer any of your questions, before during and after your trip. A taxi transfer met us on the first morning and drove us to the start of our hike (thankfully, because you wouldn't walk it), the driver had a package for us containing the hard copy maps of the region to complement the gps route we had already been given, as well as a lovely postcard wishing us good travels. We didn't use the specific navigation app provided by Slotrips as we are already familiar with GAIA, but we easily uploaded the gps routes provided for our hike, as well as the offline maps and were all set. Each hut was prebooked, paid for and dinner and breakfast arranged as part of the package, so all we had to do was arrive at the end of the day where there was always a beer waiting and food available. Katya requested dorms with 4 beds for each of our nights, and although it can't be guarranteed, the Slotrips staff are know at the huts and every sleep was just us as a family. We honestly had perfect weather, maybe even a bit too hot, and an absolutely stunning hike. The Julian Alps are an amazing place to experience as is all of Slovenia. If you are going to use a company to help you plan, use a Slovenian company, particularly Slotrips. Thanks to all the staff for an amazing four days.

Most professional tour company I have used Katja organized the most amazing accommodation in all the best locations along our journey. We did some biking & hiking and this was made so easy with a navigation app plus the Slotrip app for all the info you need along the journey. I would recommend this company to anyone that want to have adventure a-bit of actively & also have baggage all taken for you along the way.

Slotrips is a reliable, diligent and knowledgeable travel advisor for Slovenia and overall we had an amazing experience. Some of the hiking was more than we could handle (heat wave). Be sure to schedule a call to discuss your travel plan and priorities. But, big picture, 1) Slovenia is beautiful and an amazing travel destination, 2) Slotrips will deliver an amazing experience. Also don’t miss a little extra time a Lake Bohinj and enjoy a swim in the clean / clear and beautiful water!

We traveled with our 3 teenage children to Slovenia at the end of June and through the beginning of July (11 nights). We worked with Katja to plan our trip. Katja was responsive and helpful during the trip planning process, even including a Zoom meeting. She personalized our itinerary to fit our family's activity goals and interests. We started in Ljubljana, then traveled to Lake Bohinj and Lake Bled, then over the Vrsic Pass (and Russian Road) to Bovec, then to Piran on the Adriatic Coast (with site trips to Trieste and Croatian Istria, including Rovinj and several medieval hill towns). We also went to the Skocjan Caves (truly unforgettable) and to Predjama Castle. Katja organized our activities into a good flow. We liked having the coast at the end. Here is a list of our family's favorite activities: The wonder of it all: Eating 10-day old gouda from shepherds in Triglav, swimming in the Adriatic, med (honey) View from the town walls in Piran, Lake Bohinj bike ride Biking around Lake Bled, shrimp in garlic and olive oil at La Puntulina Paddle boarding and rejuvenating on Lake Bohinj, leapng into the Adriatic Sea after fancy July 4th dinner Jumping off a 21-foot rock into the Soca River while whitewater rafting, rowing out to Bled Island Learning about WWI history (and seeing remaining trenches on the front line) from a wonderful historian named Vlado. We found Slotrips to be an organized, responsive, positive tour company, with staff that tries to design a unique and thoughtful trips for their customers while focusing on active vacations. We really liked the apartments that Katja found for our family. We appreciated the level of activity and the ability to modify our plans for the day (be more or less active). We would totally choose Slotrips again and have already recommended this company to our friends. We have never used a travel or tour company before but really appreciated Katja's recommendations and help securing bikes, rafting, paddle boards, etc. I think this is a really quality company.

My husband and I LOVED our “Summit to Sea” self guided tour with SloTrips! The itineraries were super clear and thoughtfully curated! We had so much fun with the right level of challenging in line with the descriptions. The transfers were easy, the hotels and lodging were great and unique and Slovenia was unbelievably gorgeous! The luggage transfers made adventure travel seamless. And communication was great from start to finish. We hiked and biked thru the alps and wine country, stayed in beautiful places, ate great food, rafted the Socca River and ended with a beautiful seaside stay in Piran. Would definitely recommend SloTrips!!!

We had an excellent experience with our Slotrip tour. Miha allowed us to customize our hiking, e-biking, rafting and eco-tour. Barbara did an incredible job being our guide, translator and driver. Seamlessly trekking through Slovenia, Italy and Croatia over our 8 day trip. Fantastic experience, beautiful countryside!!

I just came back from a guided 3 day Julian Alps hut to hut hike and am still overwhelmed by the beauty of the mountains. Everything went great from start to finish, and I even took up on the surprise summit to Triglav and I am so glad I did! Our guide Bostjan did an amazing job, leading us up with a good and steady (sweaty :)) pace, telling us where we are, what are we looking at and encouraged me to the summit even though I was doubting if I could do it. He is awesome! Also, our guide Tomo that took me and Andy to the summit was a rock star! Very professional, making us feel safe going up steep ridges, telling us stories about his travels and giving us tips for our next adventures. Having these two as guides was amazing. All in all, the trip was phenomenal and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have amazing views, good company and lots of breathtaking moments. Be ready to get sweaty and puffy, but it's all worth it! Thanks Slotrips ❤️

We (family of five) have just returned from an amazing four-day self-guided hut-to-hut hike through the Slovenian Alps organized by Slotrips. It was at times challenging due to the steep slopes and rough terrain but there is simply nothing as rewarding as reaching the stunningly beautiful views from the peak of a mountain you have just climbed. The GPS app and routes provided by Slotrips made it easy to navigate also when the tracks were not too clearly marked. The accommodations in the mountain huts were simple but cozy and comfortable. All through the planning, Slotrips was super responsive and flexible. We highly recommend engaging with their services.

I would have given it 6 stars but apparently that's not possible. We engaged Slo-Trips to do a personalized trip for us as we wanted small parts of each of their standard trips. Domen put together something that was absolutely perfect. The hotels were great, the transfers worked perfectly and it was all at a reasonable cost. We were in Slovenia for 10 days and enjoyed every minute of it. The 3 night hut to hut hiking was amazing. Not to mention Lake Bled, Piran, Ljublanja, and Bovec. So much to see in such a small country. The Trip Plans app they provide to you gives your entire itinerary at the click of a button. (including sites along the way, history of the country, restaurant recommendations etc etc)
